VillageLife: Big big hugs, over time all the good memories will make you smile again.
1.A lazy start to the day, I woke up heard it bucketing down turned over went back to sleep.
2.Popped out to the doctors, and back up to the hospital for more bloods walked straight in no queue at all.
3.DH wanted to pop to lidl and it was spendy:o but on considered bits.
4.Diner was from freezer food planning of venison in thyme and rosemary with oven chips and fresh bread - tastey:)
5.Cleaned out the fridge a pleasure as it needed doing
6.I tried to get tickets that went on sale at 6 for Sarah Millican, but after an hour of their website being incredibly bad we had to give up sadly as we were really looking forward to doing something different, so instead we are planning on going to the cinema for 2.50 from the club card offer not really a comparison lol.:rotfl:0 -
Early, heard this:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-31450651 and thought of NZ school amie who went on Strand/Rescue course recently.
Just in[you'd never guess:p]
1. Should have opened letter on way out. Never mind, 2nd rebate chq., 1st to arrive, can go in Bank demain:-) So quick. &v.pleased.
2. Fresh mangetout peas, rtc bien sûr, just zapped. & feeling veggie only ce soir and boxofdings holds more goodness, cooks these très vite. T'ain't so for all - & knows this, bop - but for many things, 'tis better.
Shall use this pleasure 2. for Final Verdict and ditto Word on Les Fèves - superbes, done &'s way, sometimes munched young and raw, fresh-picked.
3. Good rv/expertise at Fitzwilliam on sthg.
4. At same time, & prowled around them, stopped, gazed, engaged in discussion with gorgeous young man guardian at:
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=michelangelo+bronzes&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=FWTeVPmJPMrwaL-cgMgM&ved=0CDQQsAQ&biw=1024&bih=643
So, are they?
http://www.cam.ac.uk/research/news/michelangelo-bronzes-discovered
V. glad I've been to see, spend uncrowded time looking and thinking.
Would like to enrol for this:
http://www.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/whatson/conferences/article.html?5014
Hope announcement flags up as & has programmed, Notspot notwithstanding.
5. This very fine writing, finished, but can't let it go and keep savouring its
story, its own rhythms, its fine hinterland of learning and a gone world, so lightly worn, so absorbingly gifted to we readers:
http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/books/2013/04/the-exiles-return-by-elisabeth-de-waal-review/
& has deliberately chosen another equally dazzling review to that of so often used grauniad main source.
And yet there are 4 silly typos, out of nowhere. Who did not proof read? Even odder, considering it's a Persephone publication.
& will be asking...
6. Being there triggered usual touchdown among Museum shop rtc's.
Fabulous series of 1doz. cards@10p each. 2 sets bought, one to pass to =ly stationery friend in next village. Exhibition posters also rtc 10p. & will reverse and use as hidden-interesting stout wrapping. Finally, this hefty publication, rtc £3[£32 off!]:
http://www.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/whatson/exhibitions/article.html?2794
-because it feeds in so well with all that Elisabeth de Waal's writing and family will have known and owned and commissioned and sometimes lost.

vjm - that's a terrific uplift note, re: cracker paper>marking. There, you saved Best For Last, without even knowing:-) Well done that Lecturer! If only an intelligent moron had set fire to the building, no breach of regulations would have occurred.
Win some, bets off on some....
More notspot casualities at &squat. Bank says app won't be supported on &'s ancient[2yr old]fone of fruit. Gay mahjong friends>Spanish move, need urgent meet. Only just learnt this.
vicky - assume you're shouting your !!!!!cats on? I'm listening.
It's turned very cold suddenly, so hwb prep will begin right NOW:DCAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Very tired after three hectic days, the MS Circus wasn't really my cup of tea, may have enjoyed it more in company, but it's another item ticked off my bucket list. Rest day tomorrow then out again in the evening so will say night night and sweet dreams everybody x0

villagelife (((hugs))) sorry to hear about your family 4 legged friend x
Mhags hope you are feeling better NOW !
Am struggling with thyroiditis at the moment so will try and think of some pleasures for yesterday
1. a days annual leave - so glad I didn't have to drag myself to work
2. put some washing out for an hour in the morning as it was sunny and windy - rain was forecast for 10am but didn't start until about 11.30am. washing always smells better if its had a blow on the washing line
3. afternoon snooze
4. roast chicken for tea. Easy enough to chuck in oven when not feeling well as it pretty much cooks itself. Theres enough for several meals and DS cooked oven chips & gravy to go with it. Not the healthiest accompaniments I know but nom nom
5. early night and a good sleep till 6am when DS got up to go to work

Thank you all for your kind messages and thoughts.
Yesterday was spent quietly as I wasn't working and enjoyed watching my chickens.
Had healthy tea of salad and HM quiche.
Spent time decluttering and sorted out books to take to league of friends at local hospital.0 -
Just BoPping inn with the thirst pleasure of the day, and still no broad beans in sight.

Seem to have lost 3 days, not sure how. Work stupidly busy - yesterday had 3 hour UKVI (UK visas and Immigration) workshop. Oh boy! but very necessary in our line of work. Honestly you'd think the UK didn't want the revenue!!!
1) Love's Labour's Lost very good as was curry in curry house we hadn't tried before.
2) Thursday met friend for a coffee after work. He's been off with stress, and very nice to catch up
3) Boss and another prof have independently gone through email trail and I have been found blameless. Also clear from my emails how overworked I currently am. And?
4) Friend back from Oz. Her mum died unexpectedly in a public place (fell at a bus stop) and death certificate may take 6 - 8 months! This is not a good thing obvs, the good thing was seeing her looking well all things considered
5) student sent me a 'don't give up on me' and a smilie yesterday. it made me smile, and no of course DD never gives up on a student!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
25 for 25: 127 / 625
declutter: 173 / 2025
frogs eaten: 60
