Almost bedtime again...just been sitting outside on front porch for a bit, it's a lot cooler outside than in the very warm house. Hoping for a decent sleep tonight.

Walk up to train station this morning, the most stunning, stunning sunrise!

    Free train :)

Had a good shift at work, finished at 1.30pm.....called my children but all out and about so went to local cafe all on my own and sat and had a pumpkin and feta tart and a good read of a magazine.

Home and really didn't do very much! Which was quite pleasant.....may have had a snoozette.

    Pizza for tea.

DD1 is all enrolled for university and is impressed with her ID card.....the last few passport style photos have not been flattering! ( are they ever?) so she looks very pretty in this one!

Right , I'm off to bed, 3 more early starts to go!

PK - Hope the job offer gets sorted for you
    Mandaguin - (((Hugs)))

    Recent Pleasures
    1. OH passed his exams :j:j He is so pleased with himself. Going out to dinner tomorrow with the inlaws to celebrate.
    2. Problem with traffic lights causing horrible commutes at beginning of week has been sorted. At least I got to read my book in peace while stuck on the bus in traffic.
    3. Planning a holiday with my little family for beginning of March just need to decide on Paris or Rome. Other 2 are favoring Rome but I'm thinking Paris, we will see. The other good thing about this is I know all our spending money is safely tucked away in a savings tin just for this occasion so no need to worry about money :money:
    4. My mum had an operation to remove a cataracts which while unpleasant seems to have been successful without any nasty side effects.
    5. Getting an extra heater in my office so my feet no longer feel like blocks of ice. Everyone thinks as my office is in a boilerhouse (glamour all the way) that it must be toasty warm but in fact as the boilers as so well insulated and the boilerhouse is vented its freezing.

Hugs to all who need them

Jenny sends an emergency :heartpuls to Sister of Frith

5 BoPsie, left out in the cold aka Titan. Well, you see BoP had to carry out emergency repairs, after a deliberate attempt by BoPsie, aka Titan, to facilitate entry back into the bnice and warm snug House of BoP, by pulling off, the window latch on the bathroom, where she had just got herself clean in a cold shower. I noticed something was going awry when there was steam in the bathroom, yet I had turned off, at no cost the hot water. Looking outside I noticed the ladders had moved close to the window. Surely, BoPsie, after not apologising for wasting her housekeeping, £5, on a team playing the Mariners, has been banished to the shed, had plans to re-enter House of BoP. This plan was successfully thwarted by BoP, who quickly obtained a new, brass coloured lockable window latch and fitted it, just like new!

4 After that, we did pop into town last night, as enjoyed a curry and pint of ades of wobble or too. Boy was it cold, I mean knackers cold. BoPsie though was more used to it that BoP, so she giggled after a splash of lime hit her lager. No, actually BoPsie does drink quite properly, Real Ale! Proper stuff, not that chemical foam beer available in other outlets I could mention. As she got me tippled, she managed to gain entry back into the house. Well, the paraffin had run out as well, and it was too late to go and get the old Esso Blue.

3 And yesterday, we had a b sting breakfast as well, fresh snorkers, bacon, mushrooms, toms and poached eggs, toast and tea. Rubs tum. Keeps you good all day.

2 Now, I know you gals do not has this problem, but BoP, yestereve, found he had put his Y’s on inside out. Now, not a problem to those that sit, but at the waterless troughs, yes, our troughs are waterless, saving billions of gallons of water from being flushed away. There are a problem. Now handy, that with a breeze of the right had, one can easily have a Jimmy Riddle. But no, the flap not only is not where it should be, but is the other way round. Bit embarrassing, not, as you fumble to get in. Fortunately, BoP, being wise in these issues, can whip one out over the top. Phew, but was a taddy bit close. Now why does the maker of these Y’s not put labels in them any more. Far easier.

1 My most brilliant achievement was my ability to be able to persuade my wife to marry me. wc

I'll do 5 for today before sons come home!

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) -7 this morning! Which should kill some bugs off.

    3) Slight drama this morning in that I had got behind with the washing so all smaller son's school trousers were in the washing machine (wet) at the same time. So we popped to Sainsburys, bought some (he only has 2 pairs hence running out) and he got changed in the toilet! Got to school and told the secretary about our week and the lack of washing done and the rigmarole about going to Sainsburys and she hesitated then said "Oh, I'll just say it was an authorised absence" and stamped his book accordingly! (After all that, we were only 20 minutes late).

    4) Smaller son looked at the very sharp crease down his new trousers and said, "They've got a trouser Mohican!"

    5) Helped brother take a ram back to a nearby farm.

    6) Sister now sitting up (probably walking about by now) and sent a series of texts including a picture of her very blonde baby! We don't have anyone blonde in this house! She is going to discharge herself today as it is so noisy in hospital that she has had 5 hours sleep over the last 95 hours.

Had to smile at a very fatherly text received from brother in law. :-) He sent a text to everyone about the sleep situation and that there will be no visitors to hospital and he will let us know when visiting is starting at home.

    7) Tidied my room out ready for replastering tomorrow. Took a bag of stuff down to the charity shop and someone said, "Hello, Frith". Looked up and it was a friend of mine from sixth form that I hadn't seen in 20 years! I wasn't even in sixth form college town but in Shropshire, miles from where I would expect to see anyone from those days! It's been such a surreal week.

    8) About to make a shepherds pie for tea (just got to do potato part) and bought a cherry pie for pudding which is a favourite in this house.

    9) Very much looking forward to the Last Leg later.
  • Frith great news that your sister is so much better and little one is doing well x
