1) Smoked salmon and buck's fizz for brunch - now it tastes like Christmas, too!
2) My planned meeting with my sister and her partner was cancelled as the weather's foul, so it was another NSD / NPD today.
3) And, perhaps more importantly, I was at home when the heavens opened!
4) Easy dinner tonight of stuff from the freezer.
5) To be accompanied by a LO glass of wine, sitting beside the Christmas tree. I love this time of year!Back after a very long break!0 -
Chess
All back together now! So be checking up the morrow
And believe me, the crapper as well. Thomas Crapper!
5 Original to tone. Now always read the label. Gone for the 1960's Vauxhall Victor look. Same can, differing finish. Oh boy. Looks ace. BoPsie likes the cinema, the front room. Dining room now games pad. Only conservatory to do now. And pictures back up on wall as well.
4 Wired in Ethernet as well. Hammer and tongs all over. Fixed, booted and sorted. Connections as you never knew it. Just thinking of & as we go super fast.
3 Not only that, but was slight leak in downstairs private chambers of BoP. Well, over the years, others have taken a liberty to use the pan. I even threatened to get a waterless urinal as a replacement. But in the end, replaced the flusher with new scyphozoan tube, fitted and tested. Good man that Thomas Crapper!
2 And still had time to do fresh batch of veg soup. Winter warmer variety this time. Recipe available on request, but yous need a blitzer. Then fresh sea bream, new tatties and peas. With home maid parsley sauce. And delight of angel to finish. At te moribund this day, I noted the Xmas morons were buying everything. We have got all ours, and only ten nights till we flame the pudding.
1 Never give up on something that you can't go a day without thinking about it0 -
Gosh. I had spill cheater on.
Meant to be syphon and emporium. But hey, I only tap the keys!0 -
Good evening everyone :hello:
I've not got many OS pleasures... DH and I have returned from a jolly jaunt to Toulon for the rugby. Absolutely great time and met a great bunch of people, both English and French alike!
So, my pleasures:
1) Another payment from TopCashback payable. :j :j
2) Met some new people, including some "Twitter" people. Always good - and they seemed pretty normal.
3) Did a fair bit of walking this weekend. I needed it!
4) Cups of tea. The French stuff is just not right - but they do serve fantastic coffee!!!
5) Watching BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Love it. Such great talent, but makes me feel like a blob!
I promise that I'll have less tenuous OS pleasures soon...

Good morning
just in from a very early morning swim in an outdoor pool with the girls. Just the 3 of us and it was so peaceful and parrots and lorikeets flying overhead and the sun gently warming us. Lovely
Exam results are in and DD1 is happy enough with them, which is the main thing! She has to go into school today to see the careers advisor....in the middle of day and kind of ruining my celebratory plans.
Had a lovely day yesterday ( if I discount the hour I had to go into work for) OH and I went on a drive way out into the country to a pretty little town called Yea. We've been once before just over a year ago but took the pup with us this time. We had a lovely lunch in the courtyard of a cafe surrounded by all the herbs and veggies they grow and lemon trees. It was nicely warm at that point ( got very hot later on) and was all just very nice.
Came home to a very hot house, watched Casualty and then DD1 and I decorated a gingerbread house she'd been given for free from work.
Instructions were all in German! However we managed to make it!
Had borrowed bosses pass for her estates swimming pool, so took the girls for a swim in the evening, I read a book at the side....took advantage of still having the pass this morning and went for our swim which was a lovey way to start the day.
Right, I'm off to make lemonade scones for celebrating and we will have them out in the garden
Catch up later x0 -
Those profiteroles went quietly, but they have friends lol, they are packed out of sight to muffle the noise…
1. We went Christmas shopping for the Mil but we didn’t find anything, I do detest pressure shopping and she is a particular pain in the ar£e to buy for.
2. Stopped in at a caf! and had a lovely roast meal each for a princely tenner total.:)
3. Stopped in at the fruit and veg stand they had loads for not a lot, very stocked up tomatoes, peppers, onions, banana’s and raspberry’s:)
4. Beautiful clear night, we watched a little for gerimids metor shower and we saw 3, fantastic to see but there were supposed to be something like 2 a minute well we saw 3 cricking our necks for ages lol.:rotfl:
For Sunday
1. Sunday brunch grilled bacon and a seeded roll perfect.
2. All dads washing is done took 3 days
3. We went to a Christmas party during the day, held in a hotel when the social bit was enough I concentrated hard on the quiz and raffle and he he I won both, a chocolate hamper, then more chocolates, then a hip flask we were talking that we wanted but we can’t remember why, but now we have one and it seems very well made. :T
4. Nice to be back and relaxed:)
5. Looking forward to my last week next week and whatever new adventures may lay ahead, I don’t have something new – yet. :beer:Ironically the role I turned down has been badgering me confirms my decision.
6. Ridiculously excited that we will finally get the Christmas decorations from the loft and up tomorrow, very very late but looking forward to it.:T0 -
1. Enjoyed SPOTY, always do, one of my young FB friends, Rhys, was there as a Commonwealth Games medallist, I didn't spot him but someone with sharper eyes did and put a pic on FB.
2. A manufacturer/seller has offered me some sports kit to review on Am@zon, a perfect present for DGS. This just as I was wondering how the money set aside for my presents budget would stretch and if I had the energy to brave shops for gifts.
3. After fruitlessly searching for a USB 2.0 extension hub on Am@zon, I have been given one to review. Hooray! Finally I will be able to plug in more than one thing using a USB connection to my pc (just two USB 2 ports on my laptop and my cordless mouse uses one).
4. The house is wonderfully snug this winter.. the central heating installed two years ago, the door installed last year really do seem to make a difference I can feel.
5. Your pleasures, as always, thank you.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0
