Thanks VJsmum, no obvious improvement and he's very miserable. Just hoping he improves soon.

    1. Lie-in til 8am
    2. Watching the mogs while I was having my breakfast (they'd had theirs first, of course), play fighting, running from room to room, over the sofas, onto the dining table - told in no uncertain terms to get off - and several dashes up and down the stairs. Not sure what got into them but it was a manic 15 minutes!
    3. More wrapping of presents, the pile is getting bigger and bigger...
4...and looking very pretty all decorated with ribbons, bows, baubles, fir cones etc.
    5. More than happy, got the best deal to be had on Black Friday. Didn't leave the house, didn't buy from any on line shop/store/supermarket websites, my card didn't leave my purse, but checked prices of several advertised items and found I could have bought them cheaper elsewhere on any normal day, had I wanted them. Nothing but media hype to make people spend money they don't have on items they don't need. Black Friday? Black humour more like :p

    Sweet dreams :)

Broomstick - we went to Paris by train earlier this year and enjoyed it and the funniest moment was when we had gone over the Medway a little boy told his Mum that we were in France now.

    Orchestrated

Now lets see what was happening then! VL, in Paris. No one ever gets my leather jacket back. Left it there late February 1984. Sparra, tut tut, early bird catches the worm. Quick Pasta. Fires. Pies of Shepherds. Painless lecture. Minded of Steve, and her return as Stephanie. Erased from brain cells. Ironing Fairy required, apply Vicky's Pad. CH Sludge. Oi Pads. Sneaky cooked breakfast!

Right, I am throwing them all in the attic. Tomorrow we will go to the flicks, sitting on the back row!

5 Gosh we did not have this emotional grief stricken shull bit of continuous bollox when Steve's brother was lain on Sir Galahad in 1982. Get on with the bloody cricket, we have all lost someone. Rant over.

4 Last night got out Mum BoP's favourite movie and romatic techniques, verses 1 to 37 of BoP's book of loving! And there were trains in it as well! Brief Encounter! And me slippers were off, large topped, glass of wobbleade and crisps. Socks were padded and thrown to the door. Not a sight that you would dream of seeing!

3 Breakfast was the usual SatDi making, Perfect poached eggs on toast, two snorkers, rasher of smoked back, mushrooms, fried tatties and spagYETTI. Washed down with tea. Rubs tum.

2 Day I am off to shoot some birds, big and small. Making some tea, juice, spamwich, biscuits, chocolate covered, and a decent tart to munch on.

1 Tact is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip. wc

Oh, future pleasure. This, tomorrow with BoPsie.

  • I’ve got a blumin chest infection always feels worse with the asthma, hopefully the worst is over now.
Been MIA over the past couple of days as my completely disabled, diabetic father went awol, but thankfully he turned up as his disabled buggy was running out of juice after a 11 hour detour, he says a lovely lady helped him home as he didn’t know where he was. The police were incredibly helpful and have registered him as a vunerable person for when it happens again, we have purchased a tracker to fit to his buggy, just waiting for it to arrive.
Vjsmum you are right I saw that as well vodka, pop in werthers and leave,
    BOP: Best of luck
    1. Took it very easy today, managed to food plan for the weekend (freezer plan) and change our bedding. I had planned to do lots more, Fajita’s tonight.
    2. NSD / NPD
    3. Due to my father’s adventures we found ourselves by fluke in Tesco’s at black Friday time as we hadn’t eaten at all by midnight, and I was stunned by the people, we ignored it and just picked up what we needed but no yellows at gone midnight…
    4. I did get a second coat of paint on and “it looks better than it did”.
    5. 2 washing loads, 1 load of pet bedding and another load of net curtains washed and re hung.;)
    6. Animal snuggles I love it when they search you out for a cuddle.:)

    5. Watching the hens scratching around amongst the maple leaves in my garden in the yellow thing .You can't see the red hens as they are camouflaged amongst the leaves .

Now, as you know I do give no advice about money, but we stopped our endowment mortgage when the numbers did not add up. Now we put our faith in the sky bet, placing £5 in each month. This month BoP had cashed £20, and balance is now £7.04 pennies.

There are other ways to lose your hat!

    Sparrer, hugs to (((((Muttley))))).
(((((Pk))))), hugs to you too. Get well!
    BoP, lovely photos.

    Five pleasures for Saturday:

    1. Another day to myself getting on with 'stuff'. Goodness knows where the day went but I was busy for most of it and it was peaceful!

    2. Got a load of money banked in the business account which is looking in good shape.

    3. My bargain of the week and nothing to do with Black Friday! I'd forgotten that I'd ordered a pair of Welders Gloves for £3.30 (inc P&P) so that I could get logs into a hot stove without burning myself. Huge envelope arrived unexpectedly. Opened it and discovered the reddest, hugest gloves ever.:D They are great and they work (tried them tonight)!

    4. Watching this evening a self-build tv programme from many years ago. It was featured on Grand Designs and involved friends of mine from that time - took me back. Happy memories.

    5. So much sunshine today and lovely moon tonight.

    Sweet dreams

BoP hardly enough flesh on those, you'd need several brace for a decent pastilla :p
Broomstick the train to Paris is so easy, it's not worth the time it takes to go by fairy. I'm sure you'll enjoy the trip :)
PK get well now. What a scare, pleased your dad is safe and well done the police putting him on the vulnerable persons register
Skint It can be very useful when the work comps go down, a bonus getting an afternoon off work :)
mhags hope you had a good evening with your friends, at least you had a clear head in the morning! As a non-drinker I enjoy watching people get slowly pickled, sometimes they can be really funny ;)
eta Broomstick I agree, the moon was beautiful, it 'followed me' all the way home this evening

    1. Didn't get up til 8.30am, but as a night owl I seldom get to bed before 1am and tend to do quite a lot in the evenings. Tonight it's cleaning the glazed internal doors and a little more present wrapping, which seems never ending!
    2. Made a banana loaf to take with me this evening
    3. Got my first Christmas card! Can't believe someone would send them in November
    4. The village Christmas lights are, as always, amazing. Nice that all the houses running from the High Street join in and all decorate their homes with lights and trees. I think I've mentioned before that a friend always says our lights are far better than the ones in Oxford Street!
    5. Out to a meeting this evening, am mentoring the person who did the main talk and it's lovely to see how they've progressed from incoherent to a very eloquent speaker in a few short weeks :)

    Sweet dreams :)
