DD, great news for DD1.
(((((Frith)))))
Five pleasures for today/yesterday:
1. Supper at my parents' last night. HM broccoli soup followed by baked fish. Parents were quite sprightly which was good to see given that winter is on its way. Hope they make it through the next few months like this!
2. Put new batteries in all of the torches that weren't working.
3. Got a delivery of four much reduced pyrex dishes with plastic lids and they each came wrapped up in a ton of bubble wrap which has now been carefully put by to create thermal 'curtains' for DS1's bedroom so the parcel was doubly useful.
4. Lovely evening spent working in front of the fire.
5. Very silly exchange of emails with a friend in parallel with typing this.
Sweet dreams

Frith I hope today was better for you
chicken hope the muttley doesn't start clucking!
DFV Good to hear DS is doing well. Good luck with the proposed ipod, it confuses me just to think of them!
1. On call overnight but the phone didn't ring until 6.15am so I got a good sleep.
2. Muttley is still very poorly with a skin complaint, something he's had in the Autumn for the past three years, so presumably airborne rather than food related. The scratching is driving him (and me) mad. He's on the fourth week of anti-b's and I've started using a cortisone cream on him which has given him some relief, so will put some on shortly so he can get some sleep tonight.
3. Shampooed the small bedroom/glory hole carpet. I'm loving using this carpet shampooer as it's so easy, but whatever am I going to do when they're all clean?!
4. Wrapped and decorated a few more parcels this evening.
5. Watched back to back programmes about poverty in Great Britain, I have a lot to be thankful for.
Sweet dreams0 -
Thanks, all. Bigger son slightly snappy today but talking again and not only did HM potato wedges to go with the tea but also lit the fire. Smaller son fine and I've just been in to check them and smallest cat is stretched out under the duvet with him! She will stay there all night without moving, as though she knows he is asleep. Middle cat is shut in the living room as she gets bored in the night and taps you/jumps on you.
Pleasures for today:
1) Antibiotics not working quickly or 100% :-/ Feeling pretty awful so went back to bed after sons went to school and got up at lunchtime.
2) Did a couple of loads of washing.
3) Tasty tea.
4) Bought smaller son's Christmas present!
5) Enjoyed I'm a Celebrity.0 -

1) saudi contract off to saudi all signed this end hooray. Hoping all ok, should be going feb. Very sweet email from my contact - it's raining all over saudi so he's taking the family for a drive out into the desert and the wet sand :-)
2) went for run 2 of week 4 of nhs couch25k at lunch time
3) left work at 9(!) and weather foul, so treated myself to a taxi. Twas bliss and to be a bit mse instead of ordering dominoes...
4) pizza of l!dl base, cheese, bacon, toms and mushrooms yum.
5) dawgs forgave me for coming home 3 hours late. Had forgotten xoh and dd1 had gone to edinburgh oops. They let their feelings known by attacking their cushion so quite a snowstorm of stuffing in the hall! All clear nowMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Hello all , see if I can type quickly before battery dies on iPad. 3% charge left....let the challenge begin!
Poorly pup last night...think it's the blankie! OH and I shared the night shift looking after him. It's still not made an appearance. It seems he's had another blankie this morning( these are raggy bits of a fleece blanket Dd2 had as a baby.) and apparently he vomited a sock an hour ago. Bloody dog!
And bloody children who leave things out!
Posted off my Christmas cards complete with 2014 condensed into a letter!
Work was fine, 2 more shifts to go. Got train home with lady from shop 2 along , not seen her for ages. Lady in next shop has had her baby yesterday , saw pics today and she is gorgeous.
DD2 got her times from new school for an orientation programme. It clashes with exams at current school next week but have spoken to school and got that sorted out...strange little child wants to sit them
Had our first psychology session, this is the only one I will be allowed in....oh my, very emotionally draining, we both came out exhausted! But we are both seeing it as a very positive move.
It's been a sunny day but not too warm which is fine with me. We are having such topsy turvey weather, changes from one day to the next....as long as I get my washing dried I'm happy.
Have a lovely day and I hope poorly people and disagreeable children ((((frith ))))) become better soon.0 -
Alas I fear, & putah has hard disk of clear.

Good evening everyone :hello:
Good news (???) folks, I am now qualified to teach swimming (or "aquatics" as it seems to be called. Yes, I can see you're all suitably dubious. :rotfl: All the children seemed to enjoy themselves and the assessor thought that I was good... Always nice to hear!
So, my pleasures:
1) Another string to my bow... swimming.
2) A few more items in my "to take to the charity shop" bags.
3) Sausages for supper. Yum!
4) A little more of my MOOC completed. Very interesting, but the next bit requires me to (gulp) solve some equations. Ages since I last did some *proper* tricky maths!
5) Managed to read some of my book again. Wonders will never cease!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0
