Fade to Grey!
Souped up tidy flats, here, kitty kitty kitty. Porch siesta. Bread of garlic. Cakes. & rubs in a win. Sing a longs.
5 Grey day, so may as well be at the winding house on the salt flats. I see from the window, that next week is going to be fine. Unfortunately those working in education will miss it. BoP will be photo’ing the seals next week. Mind you, as we swim like the salmon to and fro the salt mine, was good to see t’other carriageway blocked this dawn.
4 th right. Just preparing the cages at work to lift up some freshness around the plaice.
3 Now hows meany is that. BoPsie, who romped into a seven letterer lead last eve at live Scrabble, offered BoP best of three within moments of laying down REVOKEd. Can only guess that provoked BoP into a winning mood. Again BoP remains current championi and BoPsie, still one win away from fading into grey. Caution, BoPsie does read this area.
2 Nite is BoPsie’s favourite night on box of ogle. She has her quizzes, UC and Only Connect. If ever you see a face on concentration, well! Now worries though, as BoP normally wins. See live Scrabble event above.

Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Has it always been this bad for competitive Christmas ad’s previously? I do like the JL one, it’s “cute”.

2. A couple of loads of washing done, ran a cleaning solution through the washing machine.:o
3. Starting to tackle the box room that is also lovingly known as an office, tackling it one small pile at a time, old bedding has made its way to the garage to be used as rags, and a tagine is listed on freegle to go this week or meet its maker, some paperwork thrown and another pile that has to make into the filing cabinet that’s tomorrow evenings fun. Such interesting evenings eh....
4. We’ve been gradually clearing the kitchen of junk and feeling insprired which is what has caused pleasure 3. Though starting to think it’s all a bit much the temptation to clear it into a rubbish bag is vast.:rotfl:
5. Gave dh the chance to go shopping while we were getting a prescription earlier and he said there’s no point when it will cost at least twice as much for the same things we need, aww, so shopping later as I discovered I don’t like long life milk.:o0 -

These are the reasons I have to sit on the floor! Sorry about another oversized photo
chicken they're sort of my cats, long term fostered as my friend in Yorkshire has moved into a rented property and cats aren't accepted. I fostered the dog as well, just until my DD found him a permanent home - that was 9 1/2 years ago, so don't think any of them will be leaving 'home' in the forseeable future. ToppyDog (shortened version of his kennel name) is 13, Frankie 4 and Finn 3, and they play so well together, I swear they all think they're kittens!
I have a feeling I managed to put a photo of the dog some years back but obviously had forgotten how to do it until VJsmum helped me out.
Today has been a strange one, the ci flared and even the neb didn't help. Ended up phoning the surgery, had an EGC and bloods, brought another week's anti-b's home and have an x-ray tomorrow. So my
1 - 5 are I lived to tell the tale and I didn't do anything all day, haven't even washed up yet. And I don't care! :rotfl:

Evening all
You get better now as well, Sparrer! Tell those cats to budge up and make room for you - they look so snuggled up and toasty warm.
Five pleasures for Monday:
1. DSs are now at opposite ends of the country. DS2 decided on the spur of the moment today to spend a couple of days visiting his gf who is in Devon. So I'm on my ownsome yet again but I've heard from him and he's got there fine and I've heard from DS1 up north who is ringing me a bit later so all is well.
2. Went and got a couple of freebie pallets from the garden centre so we have something to keep the logs off the damp in the garden ready for the delivery on Thursday. I'll chuck a tarp on top and they'll be fine.
3. Still coughing a treat and feeling tired but not so bad as it was and, although I've turned the c/h off because the DSs aren't here, I have the fire lit and the sitting room is nice and warm. I'm sorely tempted to bring our spare camping futon downstairs and set up camp in front of the fire for the night.
4. Downton last night.
5. Made myself a sort of smoked haddock kedgeree for my supper with some bits I had in the frezer. Very nice it was too.
Sweet dreams

Quick 5
Back to work! Free train trip as on and off before 7am
Out that door at 1pm
Had lunch and read a trashy magazine at local cafe.
Snooooooze
Beautiful daysun shining gently, flowers in bloom and birds a singing!
Wore my Poppy with pride today, remembering those who sacrificed there lives in the past and those who serve their countries today. In my humble opinion , Anzac Day is a more marked occasion here but there were a few poppies about today .
Happy Tuesday and hurrah! DD1 is just in ...exams are done, school is over!0 -
Stand,
2 GRDSMN. Steve’s brother. Night, sure, was after the Robin Hood night. Not that with age, it is remembered. But sure was details of the cove. Don’t call me Skid. Fallen on the Sir Galahad. Sure, saw his name this year, on the memorial in the Falklands. Blue White and Blue. Never grew old. But another comrade, ‘How fast does it go in reverse?’ No thought not. Why reverse. Ever goten into a situation you cannot get out of. And your fight on. Wrong? Right? Like a cat? Well, his decorations put mine into a fade! Kosovo, Gulf, twice. Not that he liked it, would you go back? First time as the driver!
11 Shut it!
Oh, second time as the commander!
Now, when you think you’re in the house of the dog, did you run? Not? Well, when F did, he did not run, he learned. And one thing is, when he buys his poppy, you sure as flocking hell buy yours. Stop. Full Stop!
1 Through mud and blood to field of green
100 years ago, cricket and rugby stopped. Football played on, but you'd think they did not today? The poppy is solemn. Not something to pin on like a slogan. If you're going to wear it, make it the only solemn thing. Not something, in a mix of others!
Oh, apologies to Sparra, I made this one easy!0 -
Mine for yesterday, a day late as I was rather weary yesterday evening after being woken up in the early hours of the morning by a very loud storm (snap, Skint!):
1) Isis being totally unconcerned by the storm: even with the thunder literally rattling the windows she didn't wake up at all - lucky cat!
2) Used by many empty working hours to make a start on a novel I have been intending to write for years. Two chapters down, only another 25 or so to go!
3) My line manager has promised to speak to a colleague who is prone to littering his conversation with F's and S's to ask him to moderate his language, which will be a relief. I don't mind the occasional swear-word, but having it all the time in the office is rather distracting.
4) Took lunch to work. It wasn't fantastically tasty, tbh, but very :money: as it was LOs from Sunday night's dinner.
5) Super cuddly, purry Isis when I got home. she does make getting home a pleasure!
sparrer - love that photo of dog and mogs - so cute!Back after a very long break!0
