  • Good afternoon all

Sparrer - that must have been quite scary for you when the nebuliser did not work for you. My late father had COPD and would get panicky when he couldn't breathe and we felt so helpless . I feel for you xx get well now!! Btw - I love it that you have "acquired" all of these temporary critters- lucky them !

Skintos - hope you enjoyed your day off !

    5 for today.

    1. Two minute silence observed at work . We had a meeting from 10 -12 and if people were not going to observe the silence most of us were just going to walk out and do it anyway.

2.Finished at 12 - had to change my Thursday "half day" as have to undertake an audit of a company to over the next 2 days

    3. Its a little chilly , but fine here today. Got home and took the terriers and DMum to the park. My hound landed in a muddy puddle straight away chasing the ball - both dogs needed a bath when they got home .Towel dried and mine is now wrapped up in OH's sweatshirt:rotfl:

4.Got some pesto on the way home and I will have a go at making a meal that I had in a pizza restaurant at the weekend . Risotto, red onion, green pesto ,chargrilled chicken , mushrooms and parmesan ? (I think)

    5. Trying to use up stuff and run down the freezers for the "C" word . Store cupboard is bulging so will need to meal plan more effectively. Hence the risotto ( we got loads of rtc boxes in Li*l a while back)

    Have a good evening all
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
  • havnt posted for a few days we all came down with some horrible lurgy on saturday so spend weekend curled up on sofa with various cold cures and boxes of tissues laying about feel more human today.
went out for a walk today to clear head cold but bright
hopefully if doc gives him the ok oh might be able to go back to work next week as he feels that his hernia must be healed ok by now its been nine weeks.
    made chicken soup for dinner:D
sold some stuff on bay of e so putting money towards christmas.
  • 1. Had work to do, feeling tired it was a longish day.
    2. Got home to a lovely clean living room, which smelled of a Christmas pudding candle burning.
    3. Made a curry and rice (orange meal thanks to a lot of turmeric), I had a bug I can feel coming on first ploy is hotter curry.
    4. Popped on and sorted out the dart charge as I know if I don’t do it the paperwork will enter the tardis time warp.
    5. Bad cupcakes/mine pies for desert, they were a whole 3p and 5p, rude not to.
    6. Booked in a haircut, a major annual deal for me, during my lunch hour tomorrow so does it mean work are paying…
    7. Applied for a couple of great looking roles, about to follow them up with a chaser email.
    8. 3 loads of washing tonight, I marvel at how much we produce sometimes…
    9. 2 fuzzies to the vets, it cost an arm and half a leg but worth it for peace of mind, x rays and lump biopsies reveal all clear nothing to be worried about, and got to examine what a healthy x ray of a ferret looks like for once, I’ve never seen it so clearly before as normally they are taken and discover bad things.
Blimey 9 for Tuesday not bad.

    Evening all :)

Quick five for tonight because I've started coughing again and need to go back to bed and my day has been really boring.

    1. As planned, slept last night in the warm on the camping futon in front of the fire.

    2. Spent most of the day there, too, nice and warm, snoozing and watching bits on iplayer.

    3. Phone call from DS1 and text from DS2 to say they are both ok.

    4. Porridge with blueberries for brunch. Smoked haddock and rice dish again for supper since I liked last night's so much and it was easy peasy.

    5. Managed to get washing done and out, some washing-up done, recycling out, tiny bit of shopping managed, bit of work online etc. even though I only got dressed at 5pm. :o

Heigh ho. I have decided I will be well again by tomorrow lunch time when DS2 is due home. But meantimes I am going back to my bed by the fire. :D

    Sweet dreams

Quick update for today as am in bed.

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Went swimming with my brother.

    3) Went to town and got some pyjama trousers and a T shirt from the charity shops for me and a hoodie for smaller son.

    4) Finished dad's family tree! (Or, I came to a point where I'm going to stop). One branch goes back to 1350, another to 900!

    5) Have done nothing really this evening except watch television and eat cakes that smaller son baked.

    6) Bigger son had another detention today but actually did some homework this evening.......

  • The last was sown.

Stop. Now, if you could read this, then probably take a few moments. Breathe in.

5 Back at the salt mine winding house this day. All work no pay. This morn the hills are visible in the distant, but the clouds are greying. Reviews today, ready for some humane remains upgrades later this week. System, that was introduced to a fanfare of trumpets and glory last year, seems not to have made much of an indent in the well being on the coal face. So, later this week, last years pathway to disaster will be ceremoniously bedded and the next incarnate of development will be unveiled upon the suspecting. Another 1 hour of life to burn, without cakes. Saying that, cakes for someone at the coal face for being in position for 5 weeks, have been provided. Please note, again, like the foamed coffee available in some outlets, the glucose gel so lovingly coloured to looked like cream, is actually very similar to the foam in the coffee and is bad for you. Dips biscuit, unchocolated into tea. Dunk on.

4 Last eve, BoPsie popped out to get her BoP a nice bottle of flavoured waters, wobbleade styles, and we listened via the connected world, to the Lord Tondeur of Parc Blundell. UTM, get that DD, UTM. And the mariners won. Other listening experiences are available. On a note, I see the Bolshevik Broadcastrating Commisariat had another money extraction grief appeal t’other night during Only Disconnect. Not your flag day. In 81, we held an event. In 82, it was differnent. Remembers, bags, rice, items, sold on. Band Aid 85!

3 I would also had put a picture of our Raffles, but there is too pu ss in around. In fact, this parish is awash with the fur balls. Now, yesterday, as BoP worked connected via wires to the salt mine, Raffles went out while the skies were grey. He came home slightly damp from his adventures. And as he knows, it only took him two shakes to drench the table. As for his paws, words cannot state how dotty BoPsie was when she saw the new clean, starched, tablecloth, pawed.

2 Now, as BoPsie does read the thought of BoP in this parish, put your specs on dear, because again, you has misread what BoP has texted. That film about a marmalade eating bear, a shared pizza and a wobbleade in the dark is on for 12th December. It’s time to party!

Broomstick Sorry to hear you're still poorly. Nestling cosily by the fire for the night was a good move, hope you feel a little better today

mhags enjoy your day off, sounds like you'll have lots to watch with Haggis doing what pups do, getting into mischief ;)

chicken thank you for your kind words. I don't really panic as I know it would just exacerbate it, but always keep an overnight bag in the wardrobe just in case. Hope the risotto turned out as you wanted, I love green pesto so it sounds delicious

greywitch sorry to you you too have all been unwell, we don't say get well soon, here we say get well now :)

pk what a lovely feeling it must have been to see good x-rays, so pleased for you (and the furries) that all is well :T

Frith working on the family tree is fascinating, isn't it? Hope you haven't found any skeletons in the cupboards – I won't mention ours!

& a beautiful photograph – a beautiful world we live in. If only everyone would recognise that...(always being told I'm an idealist :o)

BoP I'm sure Bopsie is well aware of your No.1, after experiencing your No.3! Looking forward to receiving my poppies in due course.

    1. x-ray yesterday, was in and out of the unit in 45 minutes including waiting time. Obviously not a very remarkable pair of bellows :p
    2. Did a gentle shopping trip with DD, exchanged two items for one other, got a refund of £17
    3. Lunch in Mr S, both the meals DD and I chose were on offer so two lunches and two drinks for under £8.
    4. Had a wee zzz when I got home, then made out the shopping list for the dinner for 8 I'm doing in a couple of weeks. I have more than enough Mr S points to cover the cost of the dinner as I've not spent many since I bought the garden shed 3/4 years ago.
    5. Since clearing out the bedroom I've found masses of rolls of wrapping paper, gift bags, hm gift tags, ribbon etc., so no need to buy any this year. I just have to start shopping for presents now . One is easy, I slip a lottery ticket into family cards, so far at least one family member has had a small win every year :D

Have a good rest of the day :)
