  • Good evening all !

Frith - wow - he will be thrilled I'm sure . How interesting too ! My lot came over in 1066 .. can't think why???:rotfl:

PK - glad the furries are ok xx

Sparrer- I hope the results are all clear xx

    5 for today

    1. Audit ok at work .. back tomorrow for more.

    2. Hound over the moon to see me when I got in .

    3. Cauliflower cheese for tea -made with cornflour so a white dinner:) but found it tastes much better with smoked paprika in it - so white dinner with terracotta colour dots in it.

4.DMum kindly sewed some buttons on my work trousers that I had "saved" in my make up bag for months when they popped off ! No Public Order charges now then..:DNot lazy - I just can't feel to sew.

5.Looking forward to an early night

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
  • Sparrer: Hope the results come back soon.

    1. Work was busy makes the day go auditing IT equipment lots of crawling about, and confirmed I can work from home tomorrow:T
    2. Went to the hairdressers in the lunch hour, 4 inches off and a couple of long layers to get rid of the splits, it’s still very long, but DH says it looks great straight across the back and healthier, glad it’s noticeable.:o:j
    3. Went straight to Lidl from the train station to coin chickens phrase “ a lot for less” but it doesn’t help my empty freezer ploy, we only went to pick up the tango offer and needless to say shopped as things we would buy had those 30% stickers on, its a ploy!:rotfl:
    4. DH remembered to put the casserole in so the house smells lovely and it’s still cooking through, and joss stick burning upstairs.:p
    5. Ohhh if you happen to get a chance to try Mr T Christmas tree cupcakes, we picked them up for 8p wow they are fantastic not their usual dry offering, cake connoisseur,:rotfl: if only I could cook I’d go to a cake club… :rotfl:

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    1) I was meant to be taking my car to the garage for repairs today but, when I got in, I found it had fixed itself. Saved me some pennies, anyway!

    2) Lovely rainbow on the way to work.

    3) After her last illness, the vet has advised that Isis be put on to a different diet. I had bought a big bag of the food which she now can't have, so I dropped it off at the collection point for a local cat rescue charity.

    4) Lots of rain today, but I somehow managed to dodge the worst of it.

    5) Couldn't decide what I fancied for dinner, so went for an old favourite - bean and veg fajitas.
Back after a very long break!

Pfft to 34o at almost 7pm....I'm over you hot weather!

Nice chat with friend from home.

Almost a lie in ....until 6.45am as puppy dog is sleeping for longer :) ( normally I'm up early for work)

Went for school interview with DD2... holy moly! That was tough! She was so honest ....me, I'd have tweeked the truth a bit! My daughter obviously doesn't do subtle! We have to wait and hear ....there might not even be a space for her. School is beautiful , it's private and so nice! Anyway, what will be will be.

Dropped her off at school and did a grocery shop. Almost the cheapest I've been in weeks. I think last month or so I've needed big cost items every week. However , I have earned a $45 voucher with my spending last few weeks, which will be nice in time for Christmas.

Home and DD1's friend was here...taking all the room in the driveway! They were going out for lunch and invited me which was nice. I am such a procrastinator . I have so much to do and it ain't getting done! Nice lunch and DDs friend is good fun .

Had to pick up prescriptions ....and pick myself back up off the ground, almost $200. We are lucky we can claim back off our insurance but still a lot to pay in one go. Insurance can sometimes take weeks to pay out.

Bit of library book reading and a bit of a snooze.

Washed and very quickly dried all scarves, gloves and hats ....don't think we will need them for a while!

Oooooh to getting my Mand S delivery in 3 days ! Had 20% off and free delivery!

    Have a terrific Thursday

    Pleasures for yesterday:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Swimming with my brother.

    3) Gave brother a lift to town where I met my friend for a cup of tea. Waited for brother at given time and he was quite late. Turned out the escalator in Primark had broken and the lift wasn't working properly so everyone had got stuck downstairs!

    4) Then went round with brother trying to get him a coat (he hadn't found one while I was having a cup of tea). I am now knowledgeable about all the men's extra long ranges (or how limited they are....) Helpful lady in M and S but tiny selection. We did get a free chicken and cranberry toastie (they were handing them out!) then a sample Belgian biscuit on the way out.

    5) Cleaned the downstairs of the house and it looks better for it.

    6) Made a nice apple pie.

    7) Watched Holby City.

Not so good news is I got an email from the builders saying I have had my chance and they are now taking me to court. :-/ Have tried to get in touch with the independent builder to hurry him up with his report (so I can send it with the properly worded letter to the original builders) but no one can get hold of him.

    Morning (just) all :)

Forgot to post last night but had to now...

Am in seventh heaven. We've just had a load of logs delivered and they are stacked on pallets in our back 'garden'. I'm now feeling suddenly motivated to refill the long-life food cupboards, check on all the emergency candles, cooking gas, hotties, welly boots etc and hunker down for the winter. See you in the Spring. :rotfl:

Funny how chunks of wood can make you feel like this!

  • There appears to be some …

5 Now hear this, the big klaxon has gone off at the winding house this morning and we were left in the cold. Blessers decided it was time for the usual drill in case there is a fire. Shame really, cause if there was a real one, there are plenty around the parish who would more than be available to stoke it. Just on the day when the remains of humans have a delighted inter reactive session with the proletariat and a discussion as to why the system, so vibrantly deployed on the workers, has not produced the fruits so desired by ‘Ed, of HR. Another hour wasted, you cannot get it back. I will gis news on the stunning new method of variance tomorrow. In the mean time, read on.

4 Nows I has on the subjectiveness of crass, just had a document, of considered destruction to the forest, commented on by the masses that has no better to do, than sit in ivory tower, waiting to do things. Just like social workers etc. Comment was on the such that a person is required to wear a shirt to enter winding house at the salt mine. Comment was that the reviewer does not like the shirt, because it is the wrong colour. Sees right leg gathering dust just like a bull ready to make a charge. No way Jose.

3 Gosh, that is the rant at the mine over and done with then. Well, is Thursday and that means another host of Chicken like substance, in tomato type sauce, with chilli flakes, served with curly fries to boot. Good for you is that. And later is another nite at the club of the camera. No competition, but we will see.

2 Day I have reached that 42 day point into the emporium extortion celebration, and have still to see an advert so carefreely dafted to extort monies from the proletariat. Perhaps if I did warm the valves up in the ogle box, and watch the thing, there is a chance I could see one. Not forgetting that BoPsie is currently filling in our cards of Xmas, purchased on the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund website, ready for the Royal Snail to extort money for delivery later. Other charitable website are available, so use them, not the emporium and prevent them getting their fingers dirty with your money.

1 You have to hand it down sometimes!
  • Dam both DH and I are lergying,
    1. I am sorely tempted by a takeaway, but I’m cooking a fake away as I type with what we had, and created the fake KFC feeling sort of virtuous.:p
    2. Watched a David Attenborough narrated Himalaya wildlife programme which was fascinating, while I adore nature, it’s still rather gruesome, I kept saying wow and look at that.
    3. Re did the cv and uploaded
    4. Watched Miss Potter which was enchanting.
    5. Whoop whoop the new mattress arrives tomorrow, whoopppeeee, they are taking the old mattress away which saves a tip run as well result, but I am not so sure about a by 7am delivery!!
    6. I ordered a couple of tops from the Debenhams sale 20% off and free p&p, ironically the one I thought I really liked is going back, the other one is staying as it’s lined and lovely quality. I must remember to take the refund top into work with me next week as its only about a 15min walk away.
    7. Saw something out of the corner of my eye while sitting with the works laptop, it was a mix of a sparrow, and red breast scavenging right by the back door and the woodpecker was on the birdfeeder, lovely to see.:)
  • Good evening all !
