Shocking
Plumbers, workers in lead. Pies, chips, no gravy. Tea of Soups. MoTs (Ours due Friday!!) Eyebrows, thinks Dennis Healey! Easy on the Chocolate foam drinks! Now, then!
5 I sent BoPsie to go and get some juice and butter in the rzW8 this morning, and it was a good job as well, otherwise our grocery bill would had seen change from three blue five pound notes. She informs me this beat the previous record of £15.77 by 33 pennies. And no food waste again. Raffles even has treat cans as well as some nice, kind for the hands liquid bubble stuff for BoPsie.
4 And we have frozen tea tonight, last weeks soup, fridged, together with pie of shepherds, cabbage, chunky carrots (door step sized), onion gravy and home made buns, from the crumbs left last week.
3 Did not do parade again. Feel it is elitist as fish heads go first. We are all comrades, not ranked. Decorations ready for Tuesday.
2 Nite I thinks we will has the Scrabble out. Now again, BoPsie remains one win away from the chance of two on the pounce. Usual rules, rules under the bored. If rules need to be checked while playing, game is forfeited.
1 If the human race wishes to have a prolonged and indefinite period of material prosperity, they have only got to behave in a peaceful and helpful way toward one another.0 -
1. DD and I joined caf! society yesterday, we went to my new favourite caf! for after-tennis breakfast and hot chocolate
2. I bought some books for my class (ok, and me) at v. cheap prices in a chazzer. I had no idea there were Bible versions of HHistory style books!
3. Have managed to plan maths for the week without tearing my hair out
4. Enjoyed parents' evening, started with my favourite parent and the rest were, thankfully, lovely too!
5. Have enjoyed reading everyone's posts. Even though I have less time to post now, I still enjoy seeing what we're all up to and wish I was more like DfV and could thank and comment on people individually. Hugs to all!0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
re PND - like all mental illness, it is all too silent. DD and DS will certainly be told at the appropriate time (btw - totally different with DS, I was euphoric. Probably cos I knew I wasn't doing it again)
I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
VJsmum-Oh my - YES you are right .I didn't know it meant that !!!:rotfl:Good band though
I have worked with a lot of ladies in acute settings who have been wracked with guilt because society thinks that they should think and feel a certain way once they have given birth, when they couldn't because they were too unwell . You go girl !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Evening all. Apologies for the lack of post yesterday - Isis had me up early (well, for a Saturday) as she wasn't feeling well again and, by the evening, I was rather weary!
Pleasures for yesterday:
1) Cuddles in the vet's waiting room with a lovely little dog (and I mean little - she was neglected as a pup and is smaller than Isis, who isn't a particularly big cat ), who was feeling sorry for herself but decided snuggling against my ankles made her feel better.
2) Nice vet (another of the 'lovely NZer' brigade) trying and failing not to laugh at Isis, who had to be fished out from behind the computer table and had cobwebs hanging off her ears. :rotfl:
3) My DM had a read of my ghost story and liked it.
4) Caught up on a big batch of comps as it was raining too hard for outside entertainment to be at all appealing.*
5) Put some music on to drown out the noise of the fireworks and rediscovered an album I hadn't listened to in ages and had forgotten how good it is.
And for today:
1) Long lie-in: I couldn't seem to wake up, then realised there was no good reason to do so, so I didn't.
2) Lovely brunch of hot smoked salmon (from L!dl, so cheap) on RTC seedy bread rolls.
3) Watched / listened to coverage of the many FA Cup matches, then went over to the grand prix which started as soon as they all finished.
4) Isis is feeling better:
5) Naughty but oh-so-nice macaroni cheese for dinner.
* On the subject of which - spotted this one today which might be of interest to the many Irregular Choice fans on this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5105086Back after a very long break!0 -
