  • Look, here (Not for the Sparra or faint hearted!)
See everyone - Romance isnt dead!! :D

Slush again. Gosh is so much runt yesterday, forgets to tell you we got stuck on the way to the Salt Mine, and arrived ninety, yes that is a big NINE ZERO minutes late. But as your BoP is so good, we all managed to do a day’s work, put the world to right, and paint the white lines. Put the bird back in the pocket, and give a right what for. So how easy was that.

Right, now for you lot again. Gets yer glad rags out and get down. You never know. BoPsie is so looking forward to being with her BoP tonites; she has taken special care not to crease her leg bits. Can see BoP climbing later on. And be careful of that Dr. C replacement, this GC? Good to see the tine keeping away. Minds me of the desert and Kharj. The waddi came over one day, and the gulley was impassable. And that was just in the Empty Quarter. Bribes, tinkler!

Early chocolate drink. Careful with the sleep. Chimney and stove. Toasting fork ready? Dog Bones and liver. Must be barking! Are you sure that was a day off. Brighton Rock. Sneaky Steak for Valentino. McC you has BoPsie hair. Frizzies everywhere. Walk in the sunshine. Broccoli cheese. That be cauliflower with green bits. Gosh, Seeds and pots. Veg Chilli. Chocolates. Bit early. No BoP, just a poorly dog. Yellow thing spotted near Sparrashire. And slobbed out on sofa. Well, after a day off, what else!

5 Started with a kiss and squeeze types for BoPsie this morning and she shared, or rather gave all her chocolate to her fab BoP. No need to say thank you either

4 Ham Egg and chips. Feast of BoP. I has wrote on another thread serious advice for those venturing out this evening. Please check and inwardly divest yourself of this information.

3 Ms BoPsie knows all about these things, so I think after all these years I am safe. And to think, only hours to go before the cheap chocolate hearts are out.

2 nite, if mes and BoPsie took the OinkPad, we could give live updates on the thirst daters, while I drink the toast of valentino in wobbleades.

    1 That’s all folks.

VickyA - how'd it go with the seconds shop? Still awed with the birthday cards pre-sorted by month! By now, you will have survived Ofsted - this is still a pleasure! We know you’re Good - now you have the paperwork to prove it!
Frith - sorry to hear no meds means resounding discomfort, but I think the allotment cat may plan to adopt you. We noticed the Thames achieved remarkable news prominence & suddenly MPs went onto the record... Muddy rugby kit is designed to be beaten clean! (Scout uniform somewhat less so.) Hurrah for feeling better but swallow that camera & be sure to stay off the pills? Delighted to read medic applying intelligence & patience & hoping tummy better soon. Hurrah allotment plans proceeding!
BritishBibliophile - steak baguette sounds delicious!
VJsmum - I'm awed, both at the haul & the public display! Does FB shame Work?! MiL still lives? But Has left. (Ah, A therefore B?!) Well trained, that son! Running in a new cleaner? Argh - train son for the same rates?
Caterina - ah, raw milk - the sort that used to be green top? We drank it warm from the cow. Happy times. A hair model? What fun! Such self-discipline - no cakes Or takeaway! Spelt banana pancakes? I've found a recipe on Google which I shall pass along to the chef... Volunteering with sheep & cows? They are usually meditative company. Enjoy half term!
mhagster - glad work is going OK even if the proverbial & fan are due to meet. I enjoy odd stamps & use them when I can! Son Working? Brilliant! Good training & clean sheets - bliss! You are our special early bird & splendid you don't have to pay! Don't feel bad about your sunshine - you share it! May the wretched biatch get jellyfished. School is short but scars are long & why the truth teller should get ragged? Planting pumpkin seeds under the benevolent eye of baby frogmouth? Tie jobsworth to biatch. The heat is no excuse. Happy sunflowers! Positive work changes? Fingers crossed!
BoP - Raffles chases water? Whereabouts are you?! Tried Marmite XO? Ah, HR & their ways to loose an afternoon... Good to hear you enjoying the sport, and planning the Saturday raid! Have a grand night!
Chickenopolis - love the idea of chickens calling each other names. Terrier circling smell of steak! My car fine - had a grand night out with a bootload of wood & all the scouts we could fit - today handling differently & cold! Wonderful to hear new chooks settling in & laying! Many vehicles still need a key - welcome back to simpler times?! You got the L*dl roses? My colleagues were too slow off the mark & missed out. Skylines lay blue eggs?
Ampersand - no store could have it's tone lowered by your patronage! (And they tolerate me.) You wonder, cheering on the vintage dame - an appreciative comment by those who should know is always welcome. 97! You have a good passport photo? (Traditionally ours are so dire they constitute the default threat "keep that up & I'll look like my passport photo!") Signed others vs FGM. Good to know your freedom to fly is sorted. Both your hwb & NZ need you, but can take turns. Right with you that mass data is unsafe. Hear those thudding feet? That's me headed for the library for a copy of He'll Be Ok: Growing Gorgeous Boys Into Good Men. Bless you!
Patchwork - has the young gent said thank you for his mended jeans? Delighted to hear there can be rewards for clearing out handbags... Home made chicken soup is very special stuff.
CCP - blimey Isis did a number if not-interested-in-cats folk gawk. (I'll presume soundly disinfected as you're posting but previous dentist hospitalised for 3 days by a cat scratch!) Get that wine down you & see how you feel?! May not mix with antihistamines though. Gosh yes snowboarders are bonkers. Make cavers look sensible! Hurrah that the pills help & yes, pairs ice skating! Beautiful!
Purple kitten - hurrah for strategic hovering & all the best with the kitchen plans! Kindle makes commuting less of a chore, all the best with the application & wow! Love that valentine! (even if it isn't!) The Brighton run sounds superb, even if a bit tinged with time passed.
DD - somehow arsenic is back "in" - at a brew round last night, amongst the tea & coffee there was at least one bid for arsenic! Love cat being MS & using the bathtub! "wine in hand, dogs at my feet, knitting at the ready" - where do I sign up?! Hoping dundeedog gets better soon!
kittikins - well done with the placement start, hurrah for tutors being nearer to what we hope for & big hugs as well! Do you object to the coach, or the swimming? Reception is fun... Ah. Halftermitis - the bug that bites as soon as you have the leave to accommodate it. Hope daughter recovers soon!
sparrer - what roots are you roasting that aren't veg? <bemused> Quiet evening reading sounds a treat! Lovingly frogmarching daughter to medics?! Enjoy a new frying pan - ours get scratched out of non-stick *long* before they buckle! All the very best with relocating mum if necessary... Cauli cheese & Cumberland sausage - now that's proper warming food! Does hiding chocolate from yourself in the freezer work? Glad daughter sleeping. Spuds chitting already? Blimey well done!
Skint yet Again - wretched Putah! With you camera down throat soon forgotten, but unpleasant abstract to await. Enchilladas before S Africa?! How are you coping with the quiet?! Clearing stores & eating misplaced & underappreciated foodstuffs - a good snooze clearly inspirational!
lovefullshelves - great to hear you up & doing, home made chips especially! (You did *warm* the bathwater, yes?) You've made it to being allowed to phase back to work, so please, Phase. Not lunge! Enjoy not-Valentining!
chinagirl - welcome! 30 lengths! <Awe!> Slow cooked beef sounds utterly wonderful!
Tealady - very glad to hear that so far you & yours are OK - have you seen any overflights taking photos?! 48th wedding anniversary for in-laws?! Well done them! Blessings on you for literally keeping colleagues sweet - 49 pence very well spent!
Broomstick - sounds like an almost restful competition! If the urge to scrub the downstairs floors takes you, scrub. We won't judge! (choke, spill tea, cringe - perhaps, but not judge!) Hurrah sealing thermal mug! You use pombears as bribes too? <Phew!> All the best with Masters/PhD proposal - better quick & get the money!
muser - hullo! Local playgroup trumps every chain I've ever met & time under a blanket while child sleeps is measured in happy heartbeats!
mcculloch - much impressed at how you have got things sorted, and now how some of the conveniences of life arrive as freebies! Well done on properly training Dr.C!

OS Pleasures this week (not including reading all of yours!)
A really good system test, with vanilla & 2 quirks itemised.

    Travelling home - in daylight!

Eldest son cooperating with Scout fundraiser! With very little nudging.

Good news from scout colleague in Devon - he's damp but not drowned & planning to stay that way.

Anyone else get the spot the space station email half an hour too late this morning?!

The lovely bloke at Waitrose, realising I'd managed to forget my card (indeed whole wallet, oops), grinned "get the coffee & I'll sort a card". Bless him!

Peering at the fabric & realising a selection of collars are to be cut, then being waved hullo to by the tailor.

Paxman & the tank bank - just bemused by how folk gave & gave - money in all amounts, family etc.

Watching pass the pigs being played - with inflatable pigs, but Beavers only just taller than the pigs!

"And why have you got a stapler in your jacket?" (Waiting for the dentist has never been so perilous!)

Selfie feltie in there too. Dear Gods...

Amidst notes, I read one son's name & "clear round!" which I translate as teeth doing fine.

Scouts came (well, a hand picked couple of carloads) to remove the felled & rotten henhouse to the woodstore. *Everyone* involved lugging bits in all directions & a good time had, as well as tea, hotdogs & a robust sense of achievement!

All my paperwork signed - now to face Appointments Committee. Foresee my day off including reading & research. Scouts are worth it!

Big hugs to all who need them, health strength endurance & laughter likewise & happy half term!

    Thank you DfV.

One that I forgot. Angrove Rumbaba didn't get Reserve Champion three weeks running. He got Champion last week instead. :)
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Hello all. Sat watching skeleton bob- it's a little dull. Oh groan, we have to wait till 9 o,clock  harrumph, I'm not sure i am that bothered

Sparrer - mmm Swiss chocolate, you are good putting chocolate in the freezer
Chicken - LOL over the key, jealous of your new chickens
    BoP happy valentines!!
Vicky - well done on teaching OFSTED
DforV - DS doing the cleaning? :rotfl:

    For yesterday

    1 day off :T
2 new cleaner seems very nice. I don't think she will last long though. She thinks it will be all nice and cosy housekeepery and hasn't ever done the job before, so I think the reality of our grot will put her off (it isn't really grotty, but cleaning after another family is a different thing to your own).
3 cleaned kitchen and bathrooms (she isn't starting for two weeks) watching Danny Bakers rock programme
4 I think I am a bit run down as I have a load of mouth ulcers, sore throat and ear ache :(. I feel ok but it is hard to eat and drink. The pleasure is that I didn't really cook and had a chicken sandwich for tea
    5. Slobber out on the sofa and woke up in time to go to bed :o

    And today

1 OH had a colonoscopy (or a "bumuposcope" as we call it) and nothing nasty found. It is a regular 5 year check
2 teaching was ok and dissertation students dealt with
3 picked up OH from hospital and slogging out on sofa
4 OH cooking roast chicken for tea
    5 dunno,

    Have a lovely
    Evening all

Edit, oh 9 o'clock Russian time. It's on now. Come on Lizzie (even though I had never heard of h before a couple of days ago)
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Chicken: That sounds lovely, I’ve thought it a few times we have been over your direction. And fantastic looking the same as your old driving license, lucky thing, not envious at all.:rotfl:
    1. Worked from 10 till 12 last night to make sure I didn’t need to rush about Friday morning, but then I…
    2. Got completely engrossed in watching some plane movie into the wee hours of the morning.:o
    3. Cleaned through upstairs which seemed ridiculously dirty.
    4. Cooked defrosted rtcs for valentines, steak, chips and minted veg with hm garlic bread and tomatos. And they say romance is dead huh…;):)
    5. Well turning not going out when I really wanted to but weather has but the dampers on, so going to run a hot bath and relax.

Happy valentine's day everyone. Very expensive one for me. Dawg has had cat scan kerching (would the cats get a lab report) and is back for antibiotics tomoz. Tried working at home this afternoon but will have to do some tomoz hiss boo as was less than focused and didnt finish my marking. The ds comes home very upset. His flattie went back to the us xmas cos she was homesick. The letting agents sed not to worry but now turns out she didnt provide a guarantor so muggins here has to pay 8 months of her rent. Nooooooooo. Trip to cab monday. But on the upside...
    1) laughing at the bumupuscope and then reading about skint's buttie. Lots of butts around forum today
    2) loving bop's heart of hearts
    3) received a lovely valentine's message from gbf. So sweet i decided to send one to my single but lonesome polish gay friend. He sent me one back so smiles all round :-)
    4) cos of pukey dawg and me being one left with dying dawg last time xoh has been very kind and considerate and cancelled valentine's date with new oh. New oh not happy but i am surprisingly happy, not that new oh cross but that i'm not alone with ill dawg
    5) xoh cooking something scrummy for supper. I'm just off the phone (2 hours!) to dear dad. He was in singapore and ceylon as was then during his national service.
Oh but i shall be sooooo much happier when dundeedog is well again.

What a prawn your exOH is Skinty!

Hooray VickyA, you were officially recognised for being the superstar we know you are :)

    1. It's Friday evening and half term has now started :) DD is safely tucked up in bed and is planning a onesie day tomorrow, lol.

    2. Despite leaving home a bit later than anticipated this morning, the traffic seeming much heavier, and the rain falling (yawn!), I managed to get to school in good time :)

    3. Yummy toast for brekkie in the staffroom, nomnom.

    4. Yummy fish and chips for lunch - leftovers from school lunches! There is such a thing as a free lunch after all! :)

    5. Have been given some great planning ideas for the week after half term from my teacher, hoorah! It'll still take a while to get everything written up the way uni insists we do it, but it's a fabulous start!

    6. I had a lovely time at lunch, playing cards with some Year 6s :) Showing willing by covering lunchtime duty as the school was down on staff and all that - but in reality I loved it and have promised to go back during the next wet play I can to play 'Old Maid' with them!

    7. Feeling relieved I'm at home in a warm, dry house - others in my village are not faring as well :( Fire engines and the Environment peeps have been pumping out water for 2 days now!

    8. We might be going to look at a flat if I can get hold of the estate agent tomorrow! It's in a town we'd be happy to live in, the area looks better than I remember it from my teenage years, the outside looks a bit Stalag 13, but the inside looks fine from the pics.

Also, with the price of everything in the shops going up so horrifically at the moment, it's affordable with just a parental loan to help rather than a mortgage, so looks may not need to be everything!

We'd like to be on our own again as and when it's feasible, and so this little place ticks quite a few boxes for us, and it has a tiny garden, so we could be gals wot dine al fresco in the 'summer'!

Here's hoping the estate agents answer their blooming phone!
