Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    1) I've felt cold in bed for the past few nights so, last night, I put the throw from the sofa over the duvet, and it really helped - I felt properly snuggly and slept until...

    2) ...I woke up to see the sun shining intermittently through the curtains. :)

    3) Isis hates the sound of strong wind and has been looking very anxious and unsettled but, by mid-morning, it had calmed down and she had a good game with her ball before settling down to sleep.

    4) Got a decent amount of studying done this afternoon, while half watching various chilly-looking sports.

    5) Making hot dog pasta for dinner tonight, to use up some wrinkly-looking mushrooms and some about-to-go-out-date snorkers. ;)
Back after a very long break!

Ridiculous need for early bed about to be succumbed to. Loads to read, to hear, to drink, to crochet, definitely not to nibble[je m'en fiche], so...

    1. 2 fence panels down during morning blasts. 3 repeats, despite pallet and concrete block shoring. They can stay down now until L's son, also L, comes early week to work a few more hours paid months ago.

    2. Paid next 6 mths of storage to end September and checked everything - sound as a bell, despite huge trees and river setting. Owner v.pleased; I am too. It's such a relief to know I have this facility close, secure, but off-radar.

    3. All foodie - w8rs rtc Concorde pears now poached in h-m rosehip syrup and delicious. 2 pots for freezer. Wonderful steak just consumed - yes, I know it's early to eat, but more sodit. Kindly rainbow chard just keeps cropping. With concoction of aubergine, chopped toms, garlic, basil, pesto[all h-g or h-m] slosh of 2008 Madiran, all softly mijoting for a few hours...pdg. Defrosted choc beetroot cake is sumptuous too - what a lot of showing off! About to have a slice avec caf!, then slob au lit. Oh, hwbs of course.

4.Yellow thing sputtering, big black thunderous and wild - experienced both on way back via &'s fenny nowhere. One of my most treasured things is an old, but immaculate, French sign for 'l'impasse trouv!e.' I love all the play of 'dead end/no way through, found' and hidden places I find which fit this mood prop and sustain me.

    5. Have booked for these and am already looking forward to Monday night.

BB - your no.3 is what I'm doing until NZ. Did snap up 2 packs of 2 organic lamb legsteaks@[STRIKE]£4[/STRIKE] 40p each, but who wouldn't?

    Sweet dreams and pink icecreams.

Skint: Good grief, what a numpty - time for a new number.
Vicky: My DB is often frequented by the grey haired stress that is Ofsted, I feel for you glad its over.
Ampersand: I was also thinking how nice it is to be inside away from the winds, your food sounds wonderful..
CCP: Fantastic news about your sister going back to a job she loves.
Chicken: Sounds like a very MSE fun day in April, be sure to turn a profit.

1.Downloaded some free kindle books on relaxation techniques and crystals.:o
2.We were called out but just couldn’t get there so agreed to go later got another call at 4am but it was too far to be any help this time.

3.Have to admit I went into a dead sleep and was very late up, not sure dead sleeps are good as they leave me with a headache.
4.Happened to see “you only live twice” from the very beginning watched it all and have never seen it before, in each advert break I filled up a bird feeder.:rotfl: I am not one to sit too still.

    5. Did a little bit more cleaning as the kitchen was a mess, cleaned and mopped and flopped down with a cuppa waiting for it all to dry.:D
    6. I admit it I went out this evening for the sole intention of getting some rtcs as we have been unlucky with them recently, this evening was no different, we picked up a couple of bits which I am thankful for, but the plus side anything we did get was half price or less.:)
    7. It’s been a pretty wonderful and relaxing day I’m enjoying the sensation of relaxing it makes a change to the anxious state of mind, and a lovely Chinese takeaway. Saturdays off meal plans it re commences tomorrow.:):):)
    8. Oh DH picked up a £1 celebration cake as the diet err was going well. It's a fireman Sam sponge cake.:rotfl::j

Ah, you're all wonderful people. Honestly the stress of Ofsted has been horrendous, however at least I have my health.

CCP - what great news about your sister returning to work. :T
Purple kitten - if you need anyone to test out relaxation techniques, then I'm your girl! ;) I've forgotten how to relax, though I aim to remember quite quickly during this half term!
ampersand - the pears sound divine. I'll be round tomorrow. ;)
    BritishBibliophile - mmmm, love flowers.

    My 5 pleasures for today:

    1) Walked/was blown down to the farmers' market. Got some lovely mean but not as much as I intended as it was just far too windy. I apologised to one of the stall holders as I thought my brain had been blown away too. However, very lucky to have no flooding locally.

    2) NPD! :j :j

    3) Recycled loads of magazines. I'm a bit of a hoarder, so this was a MAJOR step. They're not all gone, but some is better than none.

    4) As part of the recycling, I've pulled some articles out for various friends. My biggest weakness is travel magazines, for which I have two subscriptions. I have one friend visiting Paris, another Florence and a third Dubai - they're all getting a decent wad of information.

    5) Spoke to my Canadian cousin via Skype. I'd sent her a parcel just after Christmas with an 8 pack of Cadbury's Flake. She still has a couple left, which I'm really impressed with! Nearly her birthday for a top up!

Time for me to go to bed. I really need to catch up on the lost sleep!

Dundeedawg seems much perkier and appreciates all your good wishes. He hasnt regained his appetite but assures me it's only a matter of time.
    1) went to office to put in the 2.5 hours i missed due to ill dawg. It was soooo peaceful and got quite a bit done
    2) spring was in the air so i did a little bit of tidying the garden. Would have done more honest but
    3) mum arrived for a cuppa and a blether
    4) dd2's potential fil (just retired solicitor) is going to check ds's lease et al so at least we'll know where we stand
    5) xoh has gone to new oh for belated valentine and i have had a lovely evening reading my mavis cheek. Janice gentle gets sexy. Brill. Any other cheeky fans out there?
    Love to all. DDx

    1. Someone held a door open for me in a shop.

    2. Bought a massive box of strawberries in Co%$tco, nomnom. There are precisely 2 left!

    3. The estate agent called back and we traipsed over to see the gruesome flat. It was awful - but the pleasure is that the couple who are living there (tenants) won't be turfed out on our account!

    4. I finally took back the gorgeous bag that was a bit too small, my credit card will be nearly clear once the refund hits :)

    5. My daddykins picked up a prescription for me.

Such sensory pleasures with BritishBibliophile's gentlemen caller filling rooms with the smell of narcissi, and with Ampersand's pears poaching in rosehip syrup. Love it :T

    Five more pleasures for Saturday:

    1. Yet another day at a competition. Set off early in high winds and was so grateful the motorway closures due to fallen trees were on the carriageway going in the opposite direction and that no drivers seemed to be involved in the accident.

    2. NSD courtesy of a good packed lunch including mozzarella and tomato wraps, snacky food and tons of hot drink making stuff.

    3. Good afternoon nap in the back seat of the car with blankets and cushions and sunny skies while being rocked by gale force winds :rotfl:. Fun experience :D

    4. Stunning skies on the way home - DS2 was taking pictures of the sunsets and floods as we drove along. Love the way that waterfowl just settle in to whatever water is available and make it home.

    5. Nice phone call with my dad to say we were back. Made him laugh. The sound of my parents (and my DSs) laughing is a lovely one.

Stay dry, keep safe, sweet dreams

    B x

DigForVictory I love your long personalised posts to everybody, thank you for your lovely effort!

DD sending healing doggie vibes x

Also prayers for all of you and others affected by the terrible weather and floods.

Pleasures for the last couple of days:

    1. DH surprised me with a fantastic bunch of red roses
    2. DS agreed to come to ikea with us
    3. Nice dinner in ikea and as it was valentines day it was almost empty
    4. The nice man from the rescue services came to jump start the car after the battery went flat
    5. Getting into a nice warm bed after 2 hours stranded in a cold car in a car park in Croydon in the middle of a windstorm!
    6. Lie in on Saturday morning
    7. Breakfast with DS, smoked salmon leftovers turned into a sort of "omelette Arnold Bennett", very nice
    8. Walk with DH in the windy but sunny weather through the park
    9. Friend's 70th birthday party
    10. Another friend's party after the first one

    Good night all x
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
