Email back from Occ Health for DS states there is no question over whether he can do the job but the question is whether there is an increased health and safety risk. There is an increased risk but this can be prevented or minimised by wearing safety glasses/goggles... and he is likely to be covered by Equality Act..... and it is up to management to decide whether this is a reasonable / practicable adjustment. Anyone else think this sounds quite positive ? or am I reading it wrong? Am just hoping for the best0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Ooops, realised that I hadn't put the charity bag out for the air ambulance, but another bag popped through yesterday for the British Heart Foundation. I'll have to transfer all the stuff over from one bag to the other. Remind me to put it out on Wednesday morning, will you?
Thank you!
My mum came yesterday afternoon, leaving my dad at home! She came to the rugby with us, which was great as I could sit with her (and be dry and almost warm!).
So, my pleasures for the past couple of days:
Yesterday:
1) Farmers' market in town - managed to get loads of stuff, including some lovely pork and beef. Out of interest, I thought I would check the price in Mr T's for both and let's just say I bought from the right place in terms of fat content and price. Really need to get some venison one week.
2) DH made a massive vat of chilli con carne which we had when we got back after the rugby.
3) 10 more portions of chilli has been put in the freezer ready for another day!
4) Had a bit of a clear out of some teaching stuff and gave a friend first refusal. She didn't refuse, so they'll be heading in her direction sometime soon.
5) Caught up on a Poirot!
And my pleasures for today:
1) NSD and NPD
2) My dad insisted on my mum taking us out for lunch :j :j Made sure we had a decent sized meals so....
3) HM carrot and leek soup for supper, from the freezer!
4) Planning completed for the week ahead (not really a pleasure, but definitely a pleasure having finished it!).
5) About to go for a lovely bath. Haven't had one for ages as I normally shower, but I just need a nice long soak in a warm bath.

Well, not quite so ill as yesterday...
Pleasures for today:
1) A long lie in.
2) Scrambled eggs for breakfast.
3) Watching the Sports Relief episodes of Great British Bake Off.
4) Sons home.
5) School friend came round for tea.
6) Will go to bed shortly and listen to the Archers.0 -

Woken for prayer 5:39am, checked emails and xoh's wallet was handed in hooray. 1. Aunty Tealady's lovely news
2. A lovely girls' day out with DD and my mum.
3. Scrummy lunch at a caf!/bakery place
4. Last birthday present for mummykins bought (it's next weekend and I'm busy busy busy this week)
5. Fabulous trip to crocodile sanctuary and I TOUCHED A CROCODILE!! (in capitals, as I used to have nightmares about the creatures but now think they're gorgeous...wouldn't want to step on one, mind).
6. DD held a baby croc (the one I stroked). She was transfixed by him/her (apparently you can't tell the gender until they're about 1m long, and even then it's quite hard as they don't really like being mauled about!)
7. Sunshine all day
8. I seem to be having success at growing my fingernails! I'm a biter/picker usually, so am enjoying having that feeling of nail on keyboard at the mo. Wonder how long it'll be before I get stressed and rip them all off.........hopefully a long time!
9. Cuddles with DD before she went to bed, and then a sneaky one or two when I came up to bed0 -
BoP I think you meant Frith should go to the doctors? Although it's good to see she's feeling a little better tonight
chicken nowt wrong with getting a wolf whistle at 45, you're just a spring chicken!
VJsmum your No 5 - how unseasonal, and how lovely

CCP so pleased Isis is okay. Good thinking re the tuna in oil. I used to put a scant teaspoon of olive oil on the cat's food in those circumstances, thank goodness it didn't happen very often
PK what a wonderful haul at the garden centre, your garden is going to be full of colour
DFV had to look up Voldemort, not being an HP fan. Oh dear, poor lad! Had to chuckle at 'like', it's as bad a 'random' which my DGC use umm, randomly
skint thank you so much for the very useful info re blueberry muffins. I will definitely buy some on my next shopping trip
VickyA I hope you didn't get interrupted in the bath, every time I have one it's a signal for the phone or doorbell to ring
kittikins mind those crocs don't get your nails!
1. Was a good girl and didn't have that slice of fresh bread last night, but did have a lovely slice with butter and marmalade for breakfast with a cup of Ceylon tea. Yum
2. Took my £5 gardening till spit to £land and got £6 worth of garden products. Then got another till spit exactly the same!
3. Shopped in @ldi, cost £3.14 less than my weekly grocery allowance of £17.50 so am going to cut that down to £15 a week for now.
4. Jnr Hunters chicken with churros and ice cream to follow for dinner
5. Countryfile and Call the Midwife.
Sweet dreams0 -
Hope you don't mind me popping in?
I know that there are many Archers Addicts and I have been listening to it for 40 plus years. Only thing is I now prefer to read a detailed synopsis that BBC used to write and latterly Archers' Addicts website.
Both have now stopped.
Does anyone know of a similar website with daily updates?
Thank you xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Don't worry that it says "paranormal" I haven't seen anything of "that" natureI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
tealady what lovely news! Being a great auntie is one of my achievements in life!
DD are you in Dubai?
Well this working mum needs to think about making some dinner...a girly tea of macaroni tonight.
This working mum is slightly achy and tired but in a good way...through honest hard work! Had a good day at work, didn't get a parking fine ( back to parking issues again) and I will do it all again tomorrow. Different people tomorrow ...see how that goes. Think one of them may be difficult but I shall wait and see
Nipped over to salvos and donated 2 handbags , which I had originally bought there but I don't really use them and have more than enough bags!
Purchased 1 pair black trousers and 2 black tops....black is the new colour code for my working life...black is so not my colour. Anyway, they were 1/2 price in charity shop and still look good. On the washing line as I type.
DD1 watered the veggies and was impressed by her harvest of tomato no5!
Receiving 2 nice emails from my nice friends whom I had emailed yesterday.
According to my scales I have lost my holiday weight. Hurrah! Now if I can just lose a wee half stone there are many clothes that would fit again. If I lost 1 1/2 stone there are some beautiful clothes that would fit.
Drove to work all by myself for the first time and then home again. Quite chuffed...I still don't like driving over here very much but my comfort zone is being extended....1 year ago it was only the surrounding suburbs!
That's about it...hoping to sleep better tonight. Last night, decided an early bed would be sensible ( I'm normally an early bedder but with jetlag/ holidays/ heat/ not working it's kind of crazy) ...so into bed I get, DD and DS chatting, which is nice but noisy. Then woken by screams at midnight....spider in DD2 s room. DD1 dealt with that. Then DD2 couldn't sleep so she was pottering about at very silly o'clock. Then I had the most horrific nightmare at 4 am....then the alarm went off at 6 am!
Have an amazing Monday0 -
Tealady, fantastic news, really special.
(((Hugs to all poorly people and animals))). Get better quickly.
Didn't post last night because I was too tired. So here's a quick five for Sunday and this morning:
1. Got through a silly, very early start yesterday, roads were fine, sports event was fine (if I ignored the crowds and noise, which I did for a while over lunch and I ended up nattering with a very nice woman who was also escaping the crowds and noise), and got home in one piece. It's a pleasure to have ticked this one off the calendar.
2. Baked spuds with sweetcorn, tuna and salad when we got home. Easy.
3. Fell asleep in front of rubbish 4od stuff. Crawled into bed barely awake and had a really good night's sleep.
4. Woke up to sunshine and heavy frost - very pretty combination.
5. Got up, dressed and breakfasted nice and early because I was ready to, rather than had to, and have a load of washing on.
Am blasting our freezing front room with the fan heater for a short while to make it warm enough to get on with some proper work...
Have lovely Mondays.
B x0
