Thanks for your get well messages people! It worked and I feel 10x better today just a little headache.

    So far

1 got a quick wash on, I'm even being frugal with the washing.

2 been into our little town and went to the green grocers and bought 12kg of red spuds for £4.99. And 2kg of carrots at £1!!! Will be going here again and they deliver!!!

3 cut my soft going spuds into roasties and more chips, after learning to coat them in oil stops them going black, I'm so glad my mum mentioned it. And then I sprinkled them both with some roast potato seasoning for crispy roasties I found in the bargain shop for 10p, its cracked black pepper sea salt and onion, looking forward to trying this tomorrow.

4 made a pie with leftover chicken, so proud of myself for using up everything! Will serve with either the roasties or chips I've prepared.

5 potato peelings went into the bowl I had the potatoes in and coated with the left behind seasoning and oil to try my own crisp potato skins, will bake when dinner is on to save on gas ;)

6 after a late awakening and not wanting to get out of our very warm bed.
I made ds1 sandwhiches and decided I'd make the rest of the weeks up and freeze them, saved myself time for the rest of the week!

I'm so glad I've got back into being os, after a very stressful year I need to curb the spending and be as frugal as possible.

  • Too much whine, and yous not supposed to nose about watts I rite. So sit there now dear, get your slippers on and that cup of cocoa.

    Now see this!

5 BoPise, the ex Ms BoP went to get the nuts for chrimbo the other day. She has been forced out on her bike to return the almonds. And it’s raining. The amount of almonds she bought was fifty times the amount I have ever eaten, and she got about 20! Apart from that, she has got a waterproof coat, so I think she well be back. I buttered her paws a few years back.

4 Just updated the tracker, that thing that says why I am the bees knees and yous canna say I is not, and thing like that at the Salt Mine. It says Whoop de do! And another shift to the right I will be retired.

3 Finally got round to weighing the whisky infested Christmas cake. 8lbs this year. Should see Ms BoP through till march. Hope she takes it easy, as there is quite a bit of whisky in the beastie this year. Note, no brandy has been used.

2 had to laugh at all the buffoons who were fleeced by any non event expecting to see some magic. And to think entry was free! Must be getting too old. Now, I thinks me and Ms BoP will get the Motor car out on Saturday cometh. Drive to Bristol, whip around the M49 twice and wave at the nice people getting festered in the queue fro Cribbs. No, better still. I thinks the push bike at 8 into town. Dog Role in W8Flowers, and free cup of tea, as we watch the queue of cars blister in the pretence of the shop being closed on Boxing Day!. Then I think I will organise a Easter bunny frenzy, where all get a prize.

    1 Just not cricket!!

    Holby City last bits!

The boy with Aspergers Syndrome went into surgery for the Herzig. Elliot felt pressurised by the new CEO (creepy Guy). Once in surgery, they found the damage was more extensive than they had thought so he had an assist device instead and was put back on the transplant list. The CEO then said "America" had withdrawn their funding for the Herzig.

The old man with varying aches and pains who they thought was making up symptoms to get a bed, deteriorated so went into surgery and they found he had swallowed the letter M from a game. (Not sure why, strange subplot that didn't go anywhere).

Mr Campbell asked Mary Clare for the wrong drugs during an operation because he had not read the notes saying the patient had asthma. The patient nearly died.

The posh lady (Emma) who appeared in a previous episode after being gored by a stag had some sort of gastric cancer and was persuaded to have an operation by her son (who was in the army). At the end of the episode he admitted he had always hated being in the army so was going to ask for a discharge. Her operation went well.

Meeting with Ric, Dr Tressler, Mr Campbell and Mary Clare where Mr Campbell said Mary Clare handed him the wrong drugs and he had asked for the correct ones. Mary Clare said he had asked for the wrong drugs, Dr Tressler said he couldn't remember. Mary Clare then told Ric (after the meeting) that it wasn't the first mistake Mr Campbell had made and intimated that they had had an affair (Ric tutted at that!)

Finally, Mary Clare was crying and was comforted by the new head of nursing (the dark haired lady who arrived with Guy the creepy CEO). The head of nursing was going to support her and sort everything out, in the most wooden bit of acting I've ever seen on the show!

And Zosia phoned Digby pretending to be a man, turned up at his flat at 7pm for a "look round" and instantly moved in.

    1) Received details of the job interview - on Friday! Luckily they were very understanding when I said I couldn't make it, and have rearranged for early January instead.

    2) Think I've found someone to look after Isis over Christmas, after a bit of a panic when I found the company I've previously used no longer operate in this area. :(

    3) Quiet afternoon at work so I threw together a quick quiz for the office Christmas lunch tomorrow - it's not brilliant, but pretty good for a couple of hours' work.

    4) Found a nice present for my grandmother, and got 10% off as it is missing a piece, which I can replace to customise it and make it nicer than a 'perfect' one would be. :money:

    5) Christmas starts here - I'm out with friends this evening, then out with colleagues tomorrow lunchtime, then out to a pub quiz tomorrow, then another pub quiz on Thursday, then the horse show on Friday... roll on Saturday when I can collapse after all that! :rotfl:
Back after a very long break!

Ooff i'm tired. Trying to do too much..

    Pleasures for yesterday

    1. Nice morning watching Scooby doo with Small Niece and Nephew. Small Nephew may take the place of favourite nephew as I don't see him much any more. SD much funnier than I remembered
    2. Quick coffee with dad, I could so I did
    3. Good drive home, though some questionable driving (not mine). More cabin pressure and loud, bad singing :rotfl:Also listened to some highlights of Mandela's funeral.
    4. Home :D warm bath, lovely
    5. OH cooked yummy lamb for dinner

    And today

    1. Trip into Brum with bestest friend and she bought me a coffee and half a muffin as I did her a favour by taking some stuff to Kent with me, for her. THough we both live in the midlands, half a mile from each other, we had gone to school together and both moved up from Kent (she moved up into my student flat). SO I delivered her family's Christmas pressies and brought some back
    2. Got some stocking fillers for DS and DD - nearly there now.
    3. Lunch with friends at Jamie's Italian. Crab risotto, yum
    4. Christmas cards written - phew
    5. DS is making fairy cakes - he must be desperate for cake:p
I wanna be in the room where it happens

camNolliesMUMMY - thanks so much for that tip about the potatoes. I'll definitely try it with some potatoes I have but probably won't use quickly enough.

    My pleasures for today:

    1) Posted the last of the Christmas cards. Not OS as they cost so much to post, but we have so many friends and family far and wide that it's the only way to contact them sometimes!

    2) Decided that I'm NOT sending my colleagues cards, but I'll donate money to charity instead.

    3) Chicken stir fry cooked this evening for supper. Used up some limp veg in the fridge. :o

    4) Planning our meals for the rest of the week, including my work Christmas meal on Wednesday! :j :j DH claims he still needs to eat. Shame! ;)

    5) Paid my credit card again (IN FULL :money:). I'm aiming to have everything sorted for Christmas. :D
