Hot creamy chocolate and warm snuggly throws to the poorlies.

    for yesterday
    1. got up late and lazy
    2. after chatting with DD, got dressed and picked her up for a day's shopping
    3. went into almost every shop in a nearby town but only managed to buy something for DGD2. At 16 she's by far the easiest to buy for
    4. 'Mini' mixed grill in a pub, the plate was the size of a meat platter and full up and out. Dog and mog were most appreciative of lamb/pork chops. sliver of steak and a piece of liver (makes me shudder every time I think of that word now, I'm with you all the way Frith)
    5. Did a small Mr S shop on the way home, got a 6p off fuel til spit

    Today
    1. Made arrangements to visit a dog sitter (highly recommended by two friends) on Friday, hope it works out as it will save so many headaches. She sounds lovely, everything x'd
    2. ampersand re fifty shades of...I gave in and read 'that' book this afternoon, it seemed I was one of the few in the world who hadn't so... . Never read such an immature, repetitive very poorly written piece of work. The pleasure is it only took a couple of hours to flick through it so I didn't waste much of my life over it.
    3. Yellow thing stayed all morning, not warm enough to dry the laundry but lovely to see
    4. Today is the first day for weeks I've only felt a tiny bit dizzy for a few seconds at a time. Makes me very happy to realise it's almost gone
    5. Sitting on the sofa with the laptop warmth on my legs, mutt alongside me on my left, mog on my right, all snuggly and warm. Now I just need to train one of them to pass my my tea :)

    Have a good evening :)
  • Good evening all !

ampersand - Wow wee - 860 socks you right between the eyes in a very good way. Love the Harry Hall twitchy looking grey thoroughbred. Also ;) thank you x

    SlinkyDD- :D

    a few for today

    1. Received a lovely pm :)

    2. Site visit- staff there in tears needing much reassurance, which we gave them. The issues there are not of their doing.

    3. Terrier licked my eyelid as I didn't get out of the way swiftly enough from her advances. But it tickled and made me laugh which set her off again. Hens still milling about when I got home as it was still reasonably light. I don't get to see them in winter as its dark when I leave and dark when I get home.

4.Found a box of some all in one dried pasta meal effort which was naturally rtc. Put some quorn, basil and parmesan with it and it was reasonably ok

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    1) Woke up this morning feeling lousy so phoned my manager to say I wouldn't be going to work: I got as far as "good morning L." and she interrupted "oh no, you're worse than yesterday!". It just made me laugh - however bad I felt, I obviously sounded even worse!

    2) Went back to bed and dozed for an hour or so, accompanied by the comforting rumble of my feline foot warmer. :)

    3) NSD and NPD (not entirely surprisingly, really!).

    4) Spent most of my day curled up on the sofa under my fleecy blanky, reading my way through a series of books I got cheap for my kindle.

    5) Dug a chicken kiev out of the freezer for dinner, to be accompanied by mixed veg in pesto and a couple of slices of LO garlic bread - garlic's good for colds, right? ;)
Back after a very long break!
  • evening all,

sparrer ... glad to hear the dizziness is almost gone!

CCP & Frith get well now !

Chicken ... hope OH has stopped sulking x

    1. survived another session in the hospital gym with physio. Cant complain as NHS is providing a personal trainer and wouldn't get it free anywhere else

    2. picked up my diabetes meds ... also free on NHS (I do pay tax so I suppose not really "free" but at least no prescription charges to pay)

    3. bought DS a tub of santas beard for xmas !

4, picked up a few other bargains under £1 for his stocking

    5. nice warm bath to ease my aches and pains.... I thought this exercise lark was meant to make you feel better :o

Good evening everyone, including the Slinky DundeeDoll!

    CCP - get well soon!

Had a bit of a rotten day at school. I have some very challenging children in my class, so I had a little bit of a sob as it's just getting too much at the moment. :(

    My 5 for the day:

    1) Started my list for the using up toiletries thread. It's a long list though. :(

    2) Realised it's a friend's child's 1st birthday tomorrow. Logged on to my Moonpig account, discovered I still had some prepay £££ in it and a card is now winging its way to them.

    3) Homemade Carrot and Coriander soup for supper made by DH a while ago and has been languishing in the freezer. Made using carrots from our raised beds outside. Small virtuous feeling. :D

    4) Ironing about to be done (not a pleasure, but better once it's done).

    5) Lovely lady met virtually via Twitter has given me some AMAZING ideas for storytelling and drama with my class. So, so generous.

Right, this ironing won't do itself.... :(

5 Left for work at 7. Good day. Meetings and claw sandwich.

4 Message from Ms Bop at 10. Raffles is running rings round her

3 Emegrency message from Ms Whack. Raffles has escaped, through flap.

2 Please feel sorry for Ms BoP. She is currently looking for Raffles. She is beside herself. Freedom!

1 I am currently at home having kittens. Wobbleade is pored. Oh, and raffles is snoring next to me.

Now do I go and search for Ms BoP?

    Evening

BoP - Go and find Mrs BoP now please
CCP / Chicken - Hope you both feel better soon
Sparrer - Hope the dizziness stops altogether soon
DD - I am not good at recipes as you will see - Red Wine, Tomato and Chilli Sauce - Pour a generous glug of dodgy red wine into pan, add a sprinkling of mixed herbs and some chilli powder. Add any wrinkly tomatoes from the fridge and simmer on a low heat. Once tomatoes look about mush blitz with stick blender. Taste and add more spice / herbs if necessary. Sorry, I am a very much bung it in cook and don't really do recipes very well :o
Frith - Well done on the bus pass help

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Silly quiz at work this morning. I work with some really competive people, being the score keeper was dangerous work
    2. Posted off present to new great nephew - some SO clothes and a free rattle thanks to this site :money:
    3. Picked up some christmas wrapping paper, have left at work as will wrap things there as easier to do and can then post straight out to the various parts of the country. Will start tomorrow as want it out of the way.
    4. DD in a better mood tonight, she is testing boundaries at the moment. Thinks as she is 18 she can say and do as pleases as now an adult, err no I still pay for everything and you live in my house so there will be rules. Think she is starting to get the message.
    5. OH helped prepare dinner
    6. Made roasted squash soup this morning that I will have for lunch tomorrow and Thursday plus may feed a friend at work that usually eats processed food. Am trying to convert to HM.

Hugs to all who need them
