I will try again with a brief 5 from my phone:
    1. Hurrah !
    2. Sad news from best friend back home but a pleasure being there for her at end of phone and as I have free calls not worrying about length of calls ( just as well:))
    3. Work and yummy avo on toast and the most amazing mushrooms !
    4. Home to a call from my boss, whilst my job is safe my hours have been cut to the absolute minimum I can afford. Will see how I manage. Cakes and bread will not pay uni fees.
However , I shall embrace the spare me time.
    5. My sofa. My office. My garden. My birdies. My book. My bar of chocolate ! Hurrah indeed:)

    Have a lovely one :)

BoP - glad tiger's OK and not pregnant: given how much damage one tiger can do to a game of scrabble, I hate to think what a whole litter of them could do! ;)
Apols for YestDi, I had my head in Tiger’s jaws. Well, someone has to give him his pills and guess who that is. Well, I can get the things down in one, no problem and Tiger is BoPping along again! And he broke wind like a trooper as well! He is not doing bad coming up to his 14th Birthday. As he was a rescue cat, they offloaded him to us really, well Ms BoP was all gooooooooooooey eyed for him,, his birthday is Jan 1st!

5 Tiger having his pep pills, crusty of BoP. Wrapped in old towel! As for a pack of Tigers, thankfully ours is male so the thought of a pitch invasion of cats. Now that would get BoPsie glowing.

4 tis Friday. Yipppppeeeeeeeeeeeee. Dog rolls and black pudding for all round, with beans on toast. Real hairy start to the day for BoP. And I ran out of tea bags at work.

3 Just whens I said I had not done the rugby this year, up come a rugby job for the morrow.
Well wise, as you see too many nowadays work for multimillion pound organisations and … Got to say the media coverage they go last year was very good, features in the papers etc. This season, well they decided to do it on their own. Well, I guess the phone will ring on Monday, ‘Can we have some photos’ yes of course, the price is ... The Rugby Paper on Sunday!

As my first boss told me, after the talk about the canteen, subsidised shop, sport and social club. Pension scheme scam, ‘We also have a pensions scheme, but if I were you lot I wouldnot put a penny in the bucket, because when you retire, there’ll be nothing left in the bucket’ He also bemoaned that on the job cards, if you did a task, it was a minimum of 1 hour you put down for your time. Same today, invoice before attending, otherwise, they will get away scot free.

2 gether with Ms BoPsie tonight. Highlights from the scrabble will be available later.

    I am Number 1!!!

Frith - lovely kitchen you've got there! :)

mhagster - sorry to hear about the problems with your job - and it all sounded to be going so well, too. :(

    VJsmum - yay tickets! :j

    1) My autumn crocuses are all out in flower at once.

    2) After a gloomy, gusty, soggy start to the day, the yellow thing made an appearance this afternoon.

    3) Picked up a pack of pork (not a p-p-p-penguin ;)) in W8rose and found it was leaking. :( The nice lady on the fresh fish counter wrapped it up for me, and let me use the staff sink to wash my hands, which I got the impression she shouldn't have done but decided to let me do anyway. :T

    4) Chicken kiev for dinner tonight, with pasta in a sauce made from HG tomatoes.

    5) It's Friday! :j
Back after a very long break!

    Good evening all !

Skintos - good on the Instructor , v. sensible .I hope that you feel better soon xx

Mhagster - I am sorry about the work issues.

DD- you are forgiven.. it was for charity after all !

Frith - wow ! what a lovely little kitchen .You must be pleased with it !

    5 for today

    1. Day off.

    2. Two lots of washing line dried after a thorough soaking. It has two choices after all .It either rains or it doesn't.

3.Terrier snubbed DM when she came to collect her after I had "dog sat" this morning .She went out of the door with DM , wandered off in the garden amongst the hens (!) had a pee turned round and promptly fell asleep on my bed until 4pm.Diva.

4.Made a lasagne for OH , made some quorn effort for me and saved some of the cheese sauce for cauli/marrow and cheese or something at the weekend . After "mucking out" the kitchen which gets a lick and a promise when I am at work .

5.Sorted out some financial issues on the phone (polite yet firm and all that) ,and shredded loads of paper for hen bedding.

    6. Oooh HIGNFY on tonight !

    Have a good weekend
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

mhagster - glad you saw & enjoyed starlings, even if they're a bit of a pest here! Eek about work - hope you keep on getting the lovely breakfasts!
Muser1 - trainspotting is a smashing family hobby.
Frith - aw, son in bed with fishing rod! and you survived what sounds like an exhausting but inspiring open evening. Loud cheers for Mrs Honey! Kitchen BEAUTIFUL!
MrsRogers - glad you're on the mend & with flowers to help!
CCP - thankyou for saving me from death by curiosity & well done keeping the woodpigeon scheming.... Crocuses out - Aww and awe!
Chickenopolis - right with you on the Giants. Eldest child, eldest grandchild & still the shortest. Give little cousin another four years tops & I'll be the shortest of three generations... *Anything* line dried?! Congratulations!
DD - I'm shocked at you! It isn't mince pie season yet (Dec 1-31 last I was scolded) & even nibbling Out of Season is Just Wrong. Unless of course it is For Charity. ..
sparrer - What Have You Done to the M25? It's *supposed* to be a carpark in places. Glad you didn't have to pay for your meal - and with you entirely on what proper gravy should taste like! (Although m'husband's onion gravy is addicitive...)
VJsmum - Glasto away! Have a wonderful time.
BoP - I do admire a man who can wrap a cat.
Skint yet Again - your choice of comfort food has me getting hungry again... Hope the virus goes away pronto ("rest, painkillers & fluids" I'm told.)

    OS pleasures

Said hi to the bloke who minds the carpark - he was feeding pigeons & clearly enjoying it. (I'm almost used to coming second to preoccupied menfolk.)

Big grin from male colleague as he dived out of the kitchen clutching his brew - my warning "it's all a bit Female in there" had been heeded... (Lovely people, all, but some conversations wither with a Y chromosome present.)

Looking at portable sewing kit ideas - a friend wants one to take camping etc & so bobbins of thread, sailmakers palm, some evil looking needles & a lump of beeswax all planned, in a leather rolled case. Suddenly I feel remarkably low maintenance.

Is it OS to hear disconcerting thuds from son's bedroom & decide to leave it to the SAH parent? Or an intriguing ethical conundrum?

In case I haven't mentioned it before, the First Brew (of the day, of the office day or both) has a special magic. (Not sure how well it works on jet lag, but knocks existential angst into the long grass.) [Oh Gods, Food Again!]

Helped a colleague with her umbrella. Hurrah for duct tape!

Hugs (& warm dry bathtowels) to those as need them!

Feeling bleugh :( had to have today off uni as I've got the bug that's been sweeping around the lecture hall, and am trying not to feel guilty about it, as others have been coming in (and no doubt being highly contagious) and battling on, whereas I got back yesterday, ate, went to bed and only woke up for cough mixture and painkillers every few hours!

    Anyway....silver linings....

    1. NSD

    2. DD tucked me in last night and snuck up with some grapes :)

    3. Mummykins has been making me banana milkshakes (my food of choice when ill, no matter what the ailment!)

    4. Managed a shower and got into a nice clean bed.....

    5. I've caught up on lots of sleep, so whilst I still feel pants, I feel less tired!
