Saturday spent at work, busy busy and paid cash in hand and tips too! Sneakied away :)

Nice chat with friend from home this morning.

Chauffeur driven to and from work this morning and a text this afternoon from my chauffeur telling me what he'd done around the house and garden!

Had very nice minestrone soup for lunch, full of new season beans and veggies.

Bought a table and 2 chairs to go in front porch once garden is almost perfect!

First lot of seeds peeking through...although as DD2 planted them all rather haphazardly and then recycled the packets who knows what we have growing!

Reply from estate agent so money being repaid into OUR account and yes they had received the extra money!

Early to bed as being on my feet for so long means I'm very tired!
  • See what happens as soon as I turn the yellow thing off. All those media panickers go into overdrive about some storm. What do they want us to do, dig trenches, cover our sens with tarpaulin and wait until it passes. Now for the rest of the news, please tweet your storm stories to [EMAIL="wewantyourpix@yourmedia.con"]wewantyourpix@yourmedia.con[/EMAIL] Please note, you lose all image rites. Now which multimedia company could that be (all of them?)

5 Me and the current Ms BoPski wents out last nite. Now I warned her about too much real Pu55y (Everards Tiger). But no, she has a headache. Any advise would be welcome

4 What's that dear ... Fallls off chair. Warning rest of Post sensured due to Shoulder Surfing.

3 Big Kick off at three. Photos to do. No rugby yet this year. last year we split fees, so if we were in paper 4 times, we were even, five times they made a bit of money. They got in 6 times. Fair! This year, the multi million pound bums on seat factory has decided that they want all the money, so will do it on their own. Last two weeks not published at all. Never miknd, at l;east they are not paying, so are in effort, not loooooosing money either! Still, photos for paper tomorrow!

2 gether with Ms Whacks. She looks good in fishnets and slacks.

1 The line in the sand is all washed over by the tide.

    Are these pleasures?
    1. Caught in Dartford Crossing bomb alert last Fri - missed Concert. over 7.5hrs for 15.4 miles. Absolute nightmare. Reached YH Rotherhithe at 0050h, left here before lunch. Ticket cost is refunded:)

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-23996065

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/dartford-crossing-suspect-bomb-found-2258198

    2. Bought a tomtom start25 with many discounts while in lunnontown, [STRIKE]£129[/STRIKE]£64.00, with dbl CC+ pts thenking hew. But it doesn't want to behave with upgrades on putah. posted ? Any answers? On verra. Has free lifetime maps+other extras.

    3. bop has rescinded Lifetime Guarantee for yellow thing

    4. Picked 1.4k rasps in the night of rtn here, Monday, to make luxe clafouti for friends b'day next day - 1l dbl cream, 8 eggs, 4 extra yolks, 500 gms ground almonds - in my family size lasagne sports ground.

    5. Have had no hot water/heat for over a fortnight now. Trying to make sense of trouble shooting, but time, time, time, with so much to do before the off - mardi soir. In the meantime have been boiling kettles, using showerhead into basin or bath.

    6. Add-on request from France, so into Boots yesterday, re:teething things. Within minutes of c/s lady and I checking why a 3for2 offer had not clicked in, was told to Fxck off!' audibly, not denied, by young male strop - manager! In disbelief still, but have had long talk with 2 Boots peeps this a.m - I phoned, they phoned back. The young man needs help.

    7. Spits! - some banking done, hoorah! Couldn't be more relieved that the dangerous to transport old gilded glass pub signs, the full complement, went and went v. nicely to someone recognised from SCD. Delightful parents accompanying. All good.

    8. Rtn'd Mon night in time to find pub screen for US Open and Rafa the glorious. Only 2 others in and person in charge let me stay till after 1am, but then heard rest en rte back and here, in own bed.

    9. More later, but so much to do now - trailer is safe in storage, about which I feel so good, but tailgate still won't open. Loading/unloading is:mad:g, but car still passed MOT!...£115 later[inc.lights replaced] Initially failed because expensive backbox repair done by local garage was found to be wrong[label shows it to be for a 2L, not my little one apparently] not even connected, hence blowing! I had needed help sooner than fenboys could manage. Will be taking this up- £100 for wrong piece, not put on properly.

    10. Looking up glut sites for toms, courgettes, rosehips - delighted to see I can just chop and freeze.

    11. Is it me with shows[back to no.1]?...have at last made headway with the cancelled JC Supertsar farce of March, paid 7 Dec. Had to put hours in, stuck here and on phone, but have rtn'd to fine letter, reassurance for 13 October and some v.worthy extras as goodwill. Had timed ferry bkg rtn for 12 Oct, show is now 13th. YH o/n paid too, with Mr T vouchers.

toodlepippins to all for now. Back later.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Afternoon all.

ampersand - oh no, not another concert disaster! :( I'm glad you got your money back, and finally have a resolution for the last one.

sparrer - I had a similar situation with a work colleague who was trying to find a new home for her cats and wanted me to take one or both, but I just couldn't do it at the time. :( I'm now looking to adopt a new one (or possibly two) in late October.

PK - I forgot to say yesterday - I'm so sorry to hear about the poor ferret. I know it's not much comfort, but he had a good life with you.

Skint - pigeon is actually very nice - like a more strongly-flavoured chicken meat - although it's a bit chewy. I bought some last time as it was very RTC, but I'd get some again.

    1) Woke up early this morning (well, early for a weekend, anyway) to see the first hint of yellow stuff peeking through the trees. Then I went back to sleep and woke up to another grey, gloomy day - but at least I saw it!

    2) Picked a ramekin full of HG alpine strawberries.

    3) Inspired by the wonderful Wheelbarrow Fairy, picked the first of this year's HG chillies and turned them into a chilli garland which is now hanging up to dry.

    6e4eb28e-b93c-46ad-88eb-174e1911dd07_zpsfef448ac.jpg

    4) Went down to W8rose for some boring-but-necessary stuff (washing liquid, loo roll...) and treated myself to a bunch of RTC yellow chrysanths while I was there. :)

    5) As a late holiday treat I will be having a takeaway pizza tonight, using a BOGOF voucher so I can have one to put in the freezer for another time. :money: (Well, sort of, anyway!)
Back after a very long break!
  • 1.We managed to get up really early and drive the 90 miles to a steam fair, we asked the people as we arrived waving pre-paid camping at them and explained we couldn’t but would like to visit for the day and they kindly let us in, while we would have paid the 24 to get in for the day, we had already paid it so that was lovely.:T
2.Remembered to take a few cans of drink with us in a self-made cool box lol, an icepack, in a sandwich bag with the cans against it, well it worked. :o:o
3.Caught up with a few friends and had a lovely time there.:)
4.Had some lovely food not mse but nice, Cornish pasty.
5.Visited our scrap metal man who runs a stall there and DH got a few things.:D
5a – as I can’t re-number…. I picked up a load of crocus bulbs, (I plant them to remember our passed on animals),:) and picked up some more bulbs that will well take their chances.
6.We took a ferret with us, and other than getting down once or twice for a call of nature, she chose to sit in the hood of DH’s top incredibly cute.:o
7.We stopped in at Mr T on the way back tonight to pick up milk, and came out with dinner rtc chicken, and a shelf full of rtc’s for the freezer
    8. I have that lovely shattered but lovely feeling.:)
    9. Just sent off for a couple of free bowls on the McCain offer that DH really wants.;)

Glad to hear DrC is going OK.

Ampersand - how rude was the man in Boots?!

CCP - I've got a chilli plant on my kitchen windowsill but haven't had any like that.

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1) A good sleep! Hoorah!

    2) Popped to a geocaching meet in Caf! Neros. No one turned up. :-/ We enjoyed our hot chocolates all the same.

    3) Had a look round where I was excavating the other week.

    4) Church was open so we went to the top of the tower! Incredibly high, couldn't stay on the roof for long.

    5) Went to a church in a nearby village holding another geocaching event. (Also enjoyed looking at the Burne Jones' stained glass windows)

    6) Found a geocache.

    7) Fish and chips from the van for tea.

    8) House tidy, bathroom cleaned and all washing done because the power is going off tomorrow for some overhead line repairs.

    Pleasures for Saturday

    1. fry up for brunch

    2. managed to get 2 loads washing mostly dry on line before damp cloud rolled in about 2pm.

    3. the rain held off long enough for builders to remove chimneys and tile over the roof so we are water tight
( ... but must have words as the tiles at the top/roof line is not straight)

    4. nice chicken and peppers in black bean sauce for tea - sauce from a jar but cheaper than takeaway

    5. whilst sweeping up the small amount of debris/brick dust in loft I found another shelf for the newly cleared/sorted utility room. Cleaned and positioned it and now more stuff off the floor and on the shelf. Looking far more tidy and organised now and I don't have to climb over things to get in the room!
