Good luck tomorrow, Kittikins, we have a bunch of freshers arriving too.
Chicken - Honey Bear would like you to know that he is offended that you think he's a girl. Particularly as he has no clothes on. :rotfl: He went through the mangle about 50 years ago (literally!) and hasn't been the same since.
LFS - ooh I remember the days when we had a fire to have the first one of the year in.
Today's pleasures
1. Awake at 6  - this is not a pleasure but I did have a good ole read of the Grauniad online. I find it strangely addictive and so much more interesting than the mail
2. Managed to clean the bathrooms - which were minging - but more of a pleasure is that kids did the hoovering as the dust really affects my sinuses. :T I think they may find they have to do more of that.
3. OH cooked a chicken for tea and I now have a lovely pot of stock simmering away
4. Made a pecan and apricot loaf and its YUMMY
5. Dad is getting over his norovirus that he caught from my brother. Is taking its time but it will when you are 81 I guess.
Work tomorrow. Not sure I like this working on a Monday lark.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

4) then shopping for work clothes. Gorgeous shirt and lovely dress not very mse but dress was 20% offthe mse bit is mum then said oh i've got a pair of shoes in your size would go with that dress. So headed to hers and ended up with shoes, jacket, shirt, 2 skirts and a clump of chives for a lovely chive pot i boughtin the sale last week
5) settling down to rumpole on youtube and ds turned up. He was after some maths books but didnt say no to sausages and veg. He ended up eating the whole pound but he is at hollow legs stage. Evening all.
I've had a very short day today: I spent most of last night lying awake with dreadful stomach pains so phoned in sick to work this morning and went back to sleep, not waking up until nearly lunchtime.Oh well, if you can't do it when you're sick and in pain when can you do it?
1) NSD and NPD.
2) Phoned the veg box company for advice on storing mushrooms as the ones from last week's box had turned into a mass of white fur _pale_, and they gave me a refund as well. :T
3) Felt a bit better by late this afternoon so went out in the garden and harvested some HG borlotti beans, which are now spread out on a tray to dry.
4) Some sightings of the yellow thing this afternoon.
Can't think of a fifth, but I had one too many yesterday so that's OK.
Kittikins - hope your first day went well.Back after a very long break!0 -
Good evening all !
I am sorry Honey Bear !!! You look very androgenous (sp?) .... a glass of red and a map !
PK- sounds like a perfect Sunday to me!
Mhagster - your posts sound soooo different now that you are in your new job
CCP - I hope that you are ok? Not the cold pizza was it ?
5 for today
1. Moved office - ok so only up one floor but still had dusty, yucky desks to sort out and to unpack crates of "stuff"
2. Reverbed a few pennies found on my new desk.
3. Spotty CS top was well liked.
4. Ate 3 croissants at work
5. A dog ran away from its owners and to within a few feet of me as the owners informed me she thought I was someone else !Sweet - then another half dozen hounds ( no joke ..all wanted a stroke/cuddle all very odd) The dog whisperer - must be something about the new top!!:rotfl:
6.Macaroni cheese for tea.
Have a good evening all !
.:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
1. Just in from rocket-fuelled day and think things are reasonably on target. Pork patties braised in hm/hg courgette/tom concoction, yummy and smells lush from here. I'm hungry.
2. 3 goes at trailer because I'd loaded in the dogbeds but forgotten the rocking chair. Doesn't matter if you're lost already. Trekked back here - big job to disinter rocker from no.2 shed, but now done. Also forgot to take sewing machine down, but that can be finishing off stage tomorrow. I like working in storage barn.....
3..... and listening to the cricket. Charlie Dagnall is such a likable commentator. Today we learnt he has a Umist Chemistry Degree.
4. Freeeeeezing this morning. Coat, scarf, the lot for picking 1.3k framboises.
5. Into town, staying well behind perilous left lean of skyhigh hay load on truck. Dropped even further back when it made any right turns. Collected new hottie from w8rs, quickly called France to see if any last-minute bits reqd, but didn't even stop for free cappu - no time. Walked to Bank for Euros, only to be hailed on massively out of blue sky! Bonkers weather.
6. Kind neighbour put last duvet cover through her drier for me as I still have no heating, no hot water, but lots of icy windy rain. Will have to be major BLAST at whosoever when I return. I'm cold sitting here.
7. reverbe 5p when refuelling last thing tonight.
As for 'BoP is unable to accept comments on the Yellow Thing.'...................
Well, that's a hand-on-hips Really!!!
bop - kindly re-read your new Terms of Employment. The whole point of your zero hours Contract is that we SPECIFICALLY require yellow thingon demand. Kindly attend and rectify without delay, or I shall have to head très sud, even as early as demain.
