Hope you're all better now Frith - and hope those pesky meds have settled down Chicken. How's exOH's leg DD?

Hello all from a very relieved Kittikins.....

1-99 I finally exchanged on my house!!

100 When it completes next Friday, I'm taking us all out for a nice dinner to celebrate :) (now just to plan where....)

101 More course stuff came through for my PGCE - exciting and scary in equal measure!

102 The lady who bought my washing machine put the money in my account :)

103 Bought a small pack of yummy M&$ sushi at lunchtime

104 DD and I went over to the rec after dinner, she rode her bike, I attempted to shoot hoops (got a few but pitifully few....), then we had a kickabout, trying to score goals, "back of the net, Mummy!" whenever I managed it :) Lovely evening xxxxx

105 I'm planning on meeting up with some of my localish to me coursemates next week for a glass of wine :) Spent more time on FB today than I ever have, as we're all getting excited for starting our school placements next week :):)

106 My water bills came in - one was less than expected, the other was still in credit :)

107 DD's piano book arrived, she was very pleased :)

108 Tomorrow will hopefully be my last day in an office :)

109 and it's payday! hopefully with a bank holiday payment as well, fingers crossed....

(((hugs))) and wishing all the poorlies well.

Nothing noteworthy to report. The weather has been so oppressive these last two days I've done very little, lazy mare! Enjoying all the posts, thank you for those, hopefully not so weary tomorrow

    Sweet dreams :)

    Thank goodness for that, Kittikins!!

Much better today so can't have been anything too serious.

    Here are my pleasures:

    1) A good sleep.

    2) Porridge for breakfast.

    3) Wondering why MrN was in my garden then watching him tell off next door's children over my fence!! (so next house down from mine) I've never heard him raise his voice in all the years he's lived here. I had already told them off for sneaking into my garden this morning and pinching something of bigger son's. The trouble is, they scream and squeal ALL THE TIME. Their mother comes out on average once a hour and does a bit of shouting and occasionally smacks whoever is within reach. :-(

MrN (father of many, high up manager of more and with the gift of the gab) turned away and both boys looked over the fence and screamed continuously for an age. :-/

    4) Did some wraps for lunch with tuna, lettuce, avocado and tomato which were well received.

    5) Went to play table tennis then went swimming with my brother.

    6) Cooked lots of HM sausages for tea. Had some with pasta tonight (chopped up instead of meatballs) so will have some for breakfast in the morning. Had to cook them en masse as they had thawed and I didn't want to leave them any longer.

    7) Got a lot of gardening done this afternoon.
  • Thanks everyone xx it might turn up on ebay but its got no markings that aren't removable so tis gone. Made me very wary of doing up all the padlocks on everything though..in daylight for goodness sake! Grr:mad:
    1. HM pasties and DS didin't complain that he couldn't find the meat:D
    2. Mate for tea (no we didn't make him into the pasty filling..honest:A)
    3. Nearly managed to upload photo of DS as nun, only taken 3 days of trying so far! (argle it just timed out again, there must be an easier way than flick thing)
    4. Me and dog played football with an apple:D decided me and dog need to go for more walks as we are both getting same shape as said apple:o (dog now starts running when I sing match of day theme tune:D unusual training tactic! could also be my singing)
    5. Recycling cat crunchie bits into what looks like multi coloured vomit (I just wondered if it would hold together to make interesting dog treats, if she eats cat poop why not cat leftovers?!), OH asked if it was the cake I was planning on making!! Ok so not all my 'this is a new recipe, I know it looks a bit funny' recipes are edible but i can't recall any that looked like yak. Oh actually the stuffed marrow last year looked quite bad. And there was a runny rhubarb pie. Ok maybe some things are ugly but invariably edible! ISH!
:D happy thoughts and joy joy greetings to all you loverlies xx

LFS sorry to hear about yr dads bike.. thieving scumbags ! My DS has had 2 bikes nicked and they were both locked .... sadly never seen again despite cctv and bikes being security marked :(

DD sounds like you are having a great time

    Sparrer get well now !

Kittikins ..great news about the house

Frith... its a sad state but you might have to consider locking everything away in the garden :(

    Pleasures

    1. got to work for early start 7.20am and finished at 11.45

    2. managed to get home for 12 ... had booked washer dryer delivery for 12-6pm slot... traffic not too bad

    3. neighbour popped round to let me know washer/dryer delivery man had arrived at 11  What is the point of choosing a slot 12-6pm ? Anyway, the delivery man had phoned my house which has caller display so I rang him and they doubled back and arrived at 1pm

    4. ribs and wings with corn on the cob for tea, all from aldi and nom nom :p

    5. its bin day tomorrow. This is a pleasure as they should take the last lot of stuff I've turfed out of the loft that has been hanging around for last few days

Chicken, I'm not convinced on the pre-gab. I was on gabapentin before and its better than that in my opinion (& less side effects), but the pain has not completely gone. I still get pins and needles in my heel and other associated pain but its not like a thousand fire ants crawling in my leg like it was before....I should probably go back to Doc to increase dosage but I can manage my side effects on the current level and I'm not sure I could function on much more than I'm taking now. Have to see Doc again in a few weeks so we shall see.....

Off to bed. Nite all x

Hurrah for Friday and another day off ahead of me... But here are my Thursday pleasures:

A day off....had worked 3 days ....so obviously needed 2 off to recover! ( but will be working this Saturday )

Did some washing, did some ironing!

Slow roasted tomatoes ....that I bought for a dollar last week, drizzled with my gifted from work olive oil. Then turned them into the most amazing tomato soup for dinner, topped with crispy bacon and served with home made naan bread...which was the best I've made yet!

Whilst oven was on I just whipped up some meringues and we had them with cream and the last of the strawberries which were lurking in the fridge.

Whilst oven was on , I nipped out to salvos and managed to find another pair of black trousers for work which were half price....got them for $2.50 and a silky green top and 2 photo frames.

Went to library and read a couple of glossy magazines....feels like I've been waiting ages for all the new ones to come out as I'd read the others weeks ago! Borrowed a couple of books.

Wrote a letter to a friend and wandered up to the post office with that.

Got a lovely email from a customer at old work ....wishing me well and the place isn't the same without me....awh shame that!

Received a $20 voucher from supermarket loyalty card! Will be put to good use when I do shopping today.

Nice chat with friend from home this morning as I will be out early for work tomorrow when we usually chat.....we were both productive whilst chatting...she's getting a new kitchen next week, so emptied cupboards and I emptied and re stacked dishwasher and made pancakes for breakfast for girls , using egg yolks from yesterday!

Hope poorly people feel better soon and yay to kittikins on house sale!
DD sounds like a fantabulous birthday celebration ....birthdays should last more than 1 day.....mine always stretch to at least 3-4!
ampersand hoping that all is well with you....hope you can read our pleasures if not being able to post your own!

    Me again with Friday pleasures!

Very nice phone call from educational psychologist this morning, DD2 had been referred regarding stuff going on at school. She was lovely ....felt like I was lying on her sofa pouring my heart out to her today! Her husband was diagnosed with cancer last year too so hoping she will have an understanding as to what DD has had to deal with her dad's diagnosis too.
She will hopefully be able to offer DD coping strategies to deal with school crap!
As an aside from that , some of you may have read what I posted last week as to what DD has had to deal with recently ( I deleted it shortly after posting....as I don't know who reads this that may know me) ....anyway!
Chief biatch is being suspended from school over this, which I am happy with....I'm sure her parents will not be but she deserves to be punished for what she did.

Was just heading out to do grocery shop when she phoned .....so headed off out and headed back in to grab my $20 voucher!
Got a few rtc's....the best was 4 bottles of roll on sun cream that were down to $1.75 each! With a BB date of next year....these will be handy for school/ uni bags.
Got to the huge queue at till....an elderly lady behind me with 3 items, refusing to use the self service tills as a matter of principle ....they opened another till for me and I told her to go in front...she refused, I insisted as by the time I loaded the till with my stuff she would be through...anyway , she said....' Oh thank you...give us a kiss, I need one and you've made my day!' Well she made mine!

Back home and shopping away, bathrooms cleaned, kitchen tidied ...again, downstairs hoovered....had ventured into some rooms of doom but crept out again! Washing done and ironed ! Chcocolate eaten, emails sent, did a Mr T order for MILs birthday next week....hoping she will appreciate what I've ordered....put on the delivery instructions...please say Happy Birthday!!

Going to make pasta with rtc sausages for dinner .

Enjoying the extended peace and quiet...kids all out at various places, listening to radio 2 .

The leaves on my 2 acers have all of a sudden grown....we have had a warm(er) week which has been pleasant....to be 28o next week...I'll be melting!!

Have a lovely day and say hurrah it's Friday :)

Blimey, Mhags, do you want to come and sort my house out? Not asking where you stuck the broom! :p

Yay, Kittikins - at last :T
LFS - I think you're fitting right in here. :D

    Yesterday's pleasures

    1. Work was OK - for once I got more done than if I'd been at home.
    2. My extended hours contract has been approved, not sure if it's a pleasure as I don't know how it's going to work out. I will be on a 0.7 contract with more hours worked in term time than holidays and the whole lot taken on trust. I am definitely going to pay for a cleaner with some of the extra cash though.
    3. crispy fish and new spuds for tea. Love spuds that taste of dirt :p
    4. put a pile of laundry away - it's a start.
    5. celebrating the defeat of Cameron in last night's vote. This does not mean I support the atrocities in Syria.

Tidying, cleaning, food shopping, hair, lunch is the order of the day. Remembering to post FN's make up back to her and something that N and N left behind.

    Have a good one all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Thank you skint, I'll live - it's feels a bit less oppressive today so I'll make the effort to get off my butt and do something. I have a list as long as your arm, let's see how far I'll get with it. I need an mhags in my life!

Kittikins I'm thrilled for you, I understand your frustration as I've been there in the past but now you can let out your breath and you've already done what I would - eat sushi :D

    Have a sunny day :)
