Good evening all !
Sparrer - thank you xx
Skintos- Blimey 50mg per day is enough for me. I feel "blunted" emotionally and have a tinny (not wobbleade BoP) taste in my mouth. Hey ho - Neurosurgeon wants me on 600mg per day
5 for today
1. Difficult meeting with line manager - however due to the above medication did not quite lose the plot . But said if he hadn't seen sense I would happily leave , life is too short and all that .He backtracked and all is well now I have that off my chest.
2. My work colleagues are lovely
3. Told a company that I work with that they had a nice compliment in the paper , which they had not seen
4. Hens pleased to see me and flew at the door to get my attention .
5 Terrier dragged me in to a ditch to get her ball- I don't do ditches so she had to pull me out :rotfl:
Have a good evening all:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Skintos -Sorry I meant to ask ..has it helped your Neuropathy??
Frith - I loved your story about the old cinema btw:D:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
evening all, with apologies for any typos as I'm doing this one-handed thanks to an incident with a vegetable peeler and a butternut squash - one day I'll work out how to peel those things without losing half a finger in the process.
1) Lots of yellow thing.
2) Dod some shopping at lunchtime, using a stack of money-off coupons - luckily the lady on the till was another coupon fan so didn;t mind me handing her half a dozen slips paper. :money:
3) ?Had a chat to my landlord about the shed in the garden, which has been dodgy since I moved in but is now literally falling apart. He is now intending to get it dismantled and taken away, which gets rid of a safety hazard and gives me more room for some additional pots of dahlias.
4) Didn't really fancy eating my planned dinner after the incident with the squash so I had a salami sandwich instead and it was very nice.
5) Just changed the dressing on my finger and the cut seems to have stopped bleeding, which is a relief as I was starting to get a bit worriedearlier.
Have a nice evening, all, and stay away from vicious veg peelers!Back after a very long break!0 -

Nicholas Lyndhurst oooh..I had a crush on him when he was in butterflies skint
he was a bit strange in new new tricks though!
1. Canning joy summer fruit cordial5 bottles and
2. Tomato sauce 5 jars:D
3. Slowcooker chicken last night was jolly good! With..
4. Leftover chicken for chicken fried rice tonight (and enough for a pie and drumsticks for OH for lunch and leftover mash became cheese and potato pie for me:D)
5. Saw DD yesterday in her lunch hour:) though that did mean I had to buy her lunch!
On a more annoyed note, someone stole my dad's trade bike today, in broad daylight! They must have actually been watching to see when OH went out and thought there was no one here! Tis a bit scary cos I was here! It dissapeared in the 20 minutes OH was out. Me and my dad painted thatit was the last bike I saw him ride, and it had our names on the advertising plate.
Some people are mean!

LFS - that's sad
and very mean
CCP - sorry about your peeling incident. Have you heard you can roast the whole thing in the oven and then just scrape the flesh off? I think you need to !!!!! or score the surface - or do what I did which was to cut it into chunks, rub with olive oil and then roast.
Chicken - it's a wonder you've time for anything with your chickens and "your" terrier!
BoP - nice to see you home with the Mrs. Lovely picky.
Skint - Pie chips and peas sounds yum - though still a bit too summery I think (though I had slow cooked beef in beer tonight so not much less so)
DD - glad you had a nice birthday. I nose you would
Pleasures for today
1. N and N have gone. It is a pleasure purely because it was bluddy hard work and I haven't been able to do anything. House is a bombsite, washing everywhere - though it is largely clean. Loads of paid work to do. When I have recovered I will invite them back sometime. DS has to go in the spare room for another night as they have been in his room, bringing their nits with them, and I need to be sure they've all gone
2. Took them to theme park and we had a nice time. Got soaked on water rides, queued for the "children's" rollercoaster - which was a bit scarey if you ask me - ate a picnic, dodged the wasps, was a good day
3. Beef in beer for tea, with home grown spuds and home grown runner beans :T
4. SiL brought beautiful flowers as a thank you - and DS and DD got a tenner each, which was kind of her.
5. I am going to bed in a minute cos I is kernackered
Night allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Evening
LFS - That is just mean, horrible people
VJSmum - I am paranoid about nits, DD is doing childcare so is an occupational hazard, we keep trying to persuade her to have her hair cut shorter but she is having none of it.
CCP - Ouch, I can sympathise as I did the same at the weekend but peeling apples:o
Pleasures for today
1. Overslept this morning but still managed to get lunches done and out of the door on time
2. Yummy HM Carrot and Lentil soup for lunch
3. DD sorted out the washing for me while I was at work and did some ironing. This will cost me
4. Nice walk home from work in the sunshine, making the most of it while it lasts.
5. Lunches semi prepared for tomorrow as need to be out the door early as DD has been given another shift but starts at 8. As both going to the same office makes sense to go together. She may have some work on Friday as well.
Hugs to all who need them0
