Happy Birthday DD! Have fun x
My five;
1. Two loads of washing done, line dried and neatly folded rather than scrumpled into a heap!
2. Re-organised my kitchen cupboards, to say we've only been in the house a few months there were quite a few 'oooh I didnt know we had that' moments
3. Todays to-do list completely finished.
4. Bake Off is back :T
5. Trimmed back some plants and pulled some weeds, so therapeutic.Comper, Blogger & OS-erCompetition prizes: £6/£20150 -
evening all
oof, this having lots of kids is exhausting.
Pleasures
1. After a worried exchange with SiL about Niece (who had rung SiL in tears unknown to me), she seems much happier and was laughing and singing before we went out this morning. I think some of it is manipulation.
2. Nice walk to sealife and then to work, arrived very late but was lovely walking through town in the sunshine
3. N and N behaved very well for DD, they got through sealife v. quickly but she took them to the bull ring and they went to Disney shop, bear factory, entertainer etc. It meant I could show my face at work (though I will actually have to do some work soon)
4. We then took N and N to pizza place, courtesy of Mr T vouchers (snap, chicken!). Love the goats cheese leggera pizza
5. All 3 children singing along to the music in the car - some was funny but "jar of hearts" was goosebump inducing.
One more day, one more day, one more day. Taking them to theme park (Mr T helping out again) then SiL picking them up tomorrow night. I feel a bit mean writing that, they are rather lovely children but very hard work.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Argh to your solicitor, Kittikins.
Hope you had a good birthday, DD.
Here are my pleasures briefly for today. Getting a bit tired now!
1) Trip to Ikea! Got 2 cheap fleeces so I can line my bedroom curtains before the winter.
2) My branch of Ikea has a geocache on the stairs outside so found that. :-)
3) Stopped on the way home to get sons' school shoes. Can't believe that massive feet they have! That set me back £91 but it was a pleasure to get that over and done with.
4) Quick trip round Sainsburys.
5) Ikea pizza for tea.
6) Picked my brother up to go to a film at our local 1930s cinema. Got there and the projector had blown up! It is volunteer run and they were very apologetic. We had driven a fair way to get there so asked if we could look around the building (been done up over the past few years with grant aid). Got to look upstairs! Very funny explaining to sons what "slides" were and how they went in a carousel and were a bit like Powerpoint.
7) Nothing to do after that with no film to watch so we looked around the town and the market where dad used to work (now earmarked for a Tesco or some such) then down to the swimming pool where we used to go on the coach from school once a week.
8) Brother came back here for a bit (and to eat the popcorn) and played on the Wii with sons for a while.
That's about it for today! Off to bed soon and might watch Holby City. Smaller son still awake so don't know if I'll manage that.0 -

Just lost a post  Try again -
Belated Happy Birthday DD
Welcome back chicken, hope the new provider provides
1. Got rid of a boot load of rubbish at the tip
2. 'Built' a brick wall - that is I put the bricks where they're to go to make a raised bed, just have to look up how to make it now
3. Bought a turkey drumstick in Mr S for £1, enough for 4 meals
4. Replaced my screw/nail box which has broken hinges, fatal when I forget and pick it up by the handle! Also got a free tester of paint with a voucher, and a few other bits. I had a Nectar voucher for triple points so got over £100 worth (in points, not money!)
5. Just taken a dozen baps out of the oven, looking forward to breakfast
Sweet dreams0 -
Have had a super birthday and thank you friends for all your birthday wishes
kittikins i love your upbeat posts.
mms those i didnt know we had that moments lol
sparrer good tip about safety pinning fleeces
Here's 5 for yesterday as seem to have fallen asleep mid post lol
1) lie in as didnt need to be over at conference till 10
2) very nice lunch
3) first worskhop that id really been looking forward to wasnt tht good but 2nd one that i'd swithered over was absolutely fab:D
4) reception for students present, future and alumni. Admin bod had secretly ordered a cake and they all sang hippy birdday. There was a group of gatecrashers (to be fair the hadnt realised it was a private event, and we had plenty) who turned out to be really nice and have got myself an invite down to pymouth med school to give a seminar on feedback dialogue as well as getting the chance to punt our course at them. If we just get one of them signing up for one module it will more than pay for their attendance
5) then supper with 4 doctors from poland (current student) sweden (current and potential students) and south africa (alumni and new marker) and admin (and at this point i must have fallen asleep rofl) bod in bar round corner. I asked for a recommendation and got half a duck, 2 types of spicey cabbage, bread dumplings, polenta and gravy.
Family has arrived safely and the appartments are apparently very swish.inthe end decided it was too complicated meeting up yesterday as really conference work is full on, so will just have to celebrate birthday 3rd night running. Hard lifeMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Ps very confused it says 5:10 on last post. Anyone who nose dd nose she is not an early bird, being of the strong opinion although it's the early bird that gets the worm it's the 2nd mouse wot gets the cheese, and dd much prefers cheese to worms! It's actually 7:10 in pragueland so surely 6:10 in blightyMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

We just wished that Mum BoPs was around, as I am approaching the age she went and Big Sis is passed it. Well Laterally!
4 Saw the German submarine on the beach. Darned Germans, surely they are not up to now good like the 39 steps are they?
