    Morning

Well done to your DD VJsmum clever girl :j
Skint well done to your DS as well, such clever children we have here.

    Pleasures for yesterday,
    1. Another cupboard of carp sorted at work but as have recyled the files don't need to buy any for DD next term at college.
    2. Enjoying laughs with the team while we can as will all be split up across the building next week :(
    3. Nice chat with DF on phone, he sounded tired but I had just woken him up from a snooze :p
    4. I had company on my walk home from work as DD was working in the afternoon.
    5. Yummy dinner, I marinated some chicken breast in a BBQ sauce and threw in some other spices then griddled, tasted really yummy and enough left for OH to have in wraps today.

Hugs to all who need them

Hello all, yes I'm tiptop again today, the biggest and sorest bruise is on my rather ample posterior, I was very lucky not to break any bones or bits of the bathroom!! I'm definitely going to install another stylish and disabled-friendly bathroom like the one I just had in at my house whenever we next buy a place. I was quite scared to have a shower last night :(

Re: the ex Mr A - I just got bored witless with him and the whole being in a relationship thing! Sad for him and a bit for me as I think he's a gorgeous lovely s*xy caring man when he's not being blooming annoying, but the irritation and boredom was overwhelming the good bits, so I'm afraid he had to go. I'm sure he's probably happier as well, not having me stressing and whingeing about the place.

    Pleasures so far....

    1. Tax credits DID come in :)

    2. Payday as well :)

    3. Managed to pay a much more impressive chunk to my parents for housekeeping this week :)

    4. Work is still quiet but I've got lots done ;)

    5. Looking forward to big cuddles with DD after work and possibly a night with her in my bed watching a DVD on my laptop :)

    6. My water bill came in for the old house and its very reasonable.

    7. DD's stethoscope will be delivered today!! I saw an offer on the perfect stethoscope recommended by my GP friend, with money off, engraving and a free cardiac auscultation CD (whatever that is!!, I'm sure she'll get hours of enjoyment out of it), so I just 'had' to get it for her. The hard part will now be keeping it under wraps until Chrimble.

So many pleasures and it's not even lunchtime!

Can sometimes read from moody phone, but cannot post anything.
Computer kaput - blue screen of death 'Unmountable boot volume'. No-one has heard of this one. Found advice online, inapplicable to me.
Total rooster-ups chez Curry's/PCWorld as was, Mr T and Spits, where hier was Day from Hell.£20[must take £100 to cover costs], cleaner 'disposed' of large bag of stock, inc. jools, 4 boxes fell from trolley at end of day.
No more like that please, esp. after today's costly farce.....

Right, just time to wish you all well. Regret no time to greet, elastoplast individually.
    6 mins left.
Mustn't miss last bus back to Park&Ride.
V.intimate talk going on at putah alongside me, girl>boy.
Hugs to all, bring back the abacus.
Congrats and commiserations as appropriate - I've read them all, felt for you all.
Normal service some time off yet, I fear.

    good evening all!

ampersand - I am sorry to hear about your computer and the not so good day at Spits.

Skintos - clever clever son of Skintos:D  I said to OH how dark it is when we get up and at 8.30pm when hens go to bed.

KK- I'm not being rude but I had to snigger when you said "he had to go...." like an old sofa :rotfl:I know. I am infantile

    6 for today

    1. Day off

    2. Took terrier out early - great until the neuropathy kicked in.She is so antisocial it beggars belief .

    3. Doing the Okey Cokey with the washing . Got two load dry though - basket empty except for OH's posh work shirts . He is working tomorrow so they can wait until Sunday.

    4. Made a 2 beef lasagnes one for OH and one for DM and a quorn one for me. Made some "50's" buns in heart shaped silicon baking cases (rtc not romantic I can assure you:p) - 50grams of everything and one egg.

    5. Snooze at 3pm - woken up by DM standing in my kitchen with armfulls of my almost soaked washing that she had rescued from the rain.Bless her , she deserves her lasagne for that.

    6. Been with hens most of the day as had stable door open in kitchen looking out on to garden.Where they loiter around the back door when someone is in. They start whingeing at 4.20pm which is when I ususally get home from work. Fools - I have been home all day.:rotfl:

Have a good evening all !

Some excellent A Level / BTEC results here - very well done, people! :T

    1) Very quiet day at work so I spent part of the morning looking at puddy tats up for adoption on various websites; I won't be seriously looking to get another one for around 6 weeks yet, but it's nice to admire all the furry faces. :)

    2) And spent a chunk of the afternoon looking up free / cheap kindle books, and have downloaded several which should tide me over if the weather this weekend is as miserable as forecast.

    3) Yellow thing has now made an appearance, released by BoP. :)

    4) Felt ravenous when I got home from work so I had half an avocado - which was sitting, unloved in the fridge :o - and had it with balsamic vinegar and a bit of sea salt. Yum.

    5) Picked some more HG alpine strawberries to eat a bit later.

    6) Oh, and the brilliant Mo Farah, of course! :D
Back after a very long break!

LFS: A really lovely happy post.
Hope everyone has a good weekend ahead
Ampersand: I thought you might be taking a break from electronic thing / and spot on with the guess there.

    1. Found a Christmas present for DH but can’t buy it just yet having just paid the tax bill, hey we are getting there slowly sometimes it feels like slow progress, but when I think back to when I first joined this forum at my wits end to where we are now, it’s amazing.:)
    2. In between working did a washing load but couldn’t line dry in this weather, hovered bedroom and bathroom, mopped kitchen floor, and remembered to marinade some turkey in ginger and soy sauce to go with wholemeal rice later.
    3. I know this sounds odd but today for the first time in an absolute age I was able to sit with my laptop and not have to worry about bills or work or things to do and just relax and surf about on subjects I wanted to find out more about. It was lovely.:o:o
    4. Received a call about an ok sounding job I have applied for.
    5. Friend had a baby girl in hospital in the wee hours this morning, happy for her.:D
