My pleasures for today:
1) A bit of a lie in!
2) Breakfast made in the new kitchen.
3) Lots of texts from smaller son now they are at their father's for a week.
4) Cleaned the house of building dust.
5) Went to local motor racing with my dad and brother.
6) Dad and brother came here in the truck to take away my old skirting boards/shelves etc for their bonfire.
7) MrN came over with a box of chocolates to say thank you for me going over at 4am the other day to calm his dogs down. He also had a go about noisy neighbour and her children (the ones who buried my car keys) so good to know I am not alone in my irritation there! I meant to say the noisy 2 boys plagued the builders half to death. When the builder told them to behave and tried ignoring them, they kicked 4 slats out of the fence!! Well, at least I can see the view
better now. :-/
8) My school friend came over and hasn't long gone.
9) Watched Casualty and ate the chocolates.
10) Goodness knows what is going on at the village hall. Lots of loud music so I have been playing the piano so I can't hear it.0 -

Evening
Pleasures for today,
1. Work up early again so got up and made good use of being awake so early and got the washing machine on. Managed to get the washing dry between short showers.
2. Also got busy in the kitchen and made a batch of tomato, herb and red wine sauce, carrot soup, chocolate muffins, cooked the apples down that MIL gave me, put some beef in the slow cooker for dinner and roasted a chicken and stripped down ready for packed lunches. All this was done by 9 o'clock.
3. Enjoyed a cup of tea and a greek yoghurt sat down for 10 minutes
4. Popped into town to take a top back that had bought for DD for work but wasn't right, she is difficult. Managed to get a top in a different shop in the end for about the same price.
5. Had a little snooze this afternoon
6. Just finished the yummy beef from the slow cooker, there should have been some left but DD and OH both had seconds.
Hugs to all who need them0 -
1. We were visiting the inlaws this weekend, as they live a fair distance and we literally pass some lovely discount shops on the way we went early to do some shopping.
2. We stopped in a garden centre on the way and their clearance of cat food for 50% off and bird food for well what took it to poundshop prices meant we spent a bit.:o
3. We stopped in at Lidls and picked up the ½ price weekend deals, and picked up some caravan stock for this time next week we will be ensconced on a camping field. And picked up a lovely fleece as an under blanket.:p
4. Then it was to home bargains for well lots of bits and pieces as pretty much everything seems cheaper there.:rotfl:
5. A lovely meal of 90% home grown everything at the in laws and it was really tastey and healthy, and a lovely time chatting till the wee hours as normal.:D
For Sun
6. We laid in cause we could.:D
7. Washing all done and hung out then rained on!
8. Started cleaning and loading the van.
9. Easy kievs for tea, and prepared a casserole to slow cook tomorrow.
