It's lashing with rain!
OH had the day off and we went for a drive in country.....saw emus, lambs and llamas...we were away up in the hills and it was a very chilly 4o.
Home and had a very relaxing day ( read that as did absolutely nothing) then DD1 phoned could she bring a friend back from school to study....of course!! Mad dash to tidy up!
Wonderful mother that I am.....made cookies!
DD2 has finally decided to go to year head tomorrow.....still not talking to her sister though!

I hears Chicks had a fish day, Frith must had a good night and what is this about some quack!
5 Treddered off to free Cuppa at W8Flowers this morn. BoP will as to stoop ladies turning heads etc. Rather embarrassing for Ms BoP to see people, single pretence yummy mummy, move to view in the caf!. Good job I can burp like a trooper. Nice rog doll though.
4 Strange how Ms BoP's tredder seems to go that bit slower than mine. I amd sure hers is lick a hobby horse. Perhaps she does not like to tank it.
3 Man groomed and pruned, and better looking than some quack you lot seem to oogle on some fangled box think. Just amazing we has zone our front room. Ayes nose, gun off tack, but we have two zones in the lounge. A game and luncheon zone and a film pit. Any way.
2 Man groomed. AirCuts, number 2. Apparently there is a slight inclination of a little bit of thinning. Nothing to worry about, it ain't no falling out. Beard trimmed, nice and sharp for them back curls for Ms Wrack
1 Do not fill your heart with hurt, I haven't got time to listen to that. I know it is a problem, but please, I have to ...0 -
The local bloke who either repairs or gives the last rites to white goods has been & the drier is working again. As the yellow stuff has become a bit variable, and school starts in a fortnight or so, this is a relief.
My cousin is sending me the family lemonade recipe - six lemons, a boiling kettle, & citric acid are all I remember so I look forward to the email. It tastes wonderful - lemon & sunlight in a glass.
Youngest is re-reading The Hobbit & chortling to himself. Not certain *where* he's got to, but the chortle is a happy sound. (Even as a baby, I'd tickle him to hear that bubbling chuckle - it's such a relaxed, happy, melodious noise.)
All being well, I think I have one PE kit, one blazer & three tops to get & (omitting shoeing!) the School Uniform Shopping is over. I must persuade (tell) a son to shower, so I can check for fit...
A son is cleaning windows with old socks & white vinegar. He's scheming a mechanism that will enable him to clean the outside of the windows. If it works, I may ask him to clean the sitting room windows too... (It didn't. Bother.)
I like the young family snaps from the in-laws garden. Not terribly formal & Royal, but that can wait til The Christening. These are lovely family snaps & delightful - man, wife, baby, dogs - and if they aren't perfectly in focus etc etc, so much more like the ones we have in our own family albums!0 -
Frith - are sons by any chance in a red.discovry?
if so thwy are on our campsite!!!
2 lads and a dad arrived yesterday and they fit the description. tho i havent got close enough to see eye colour:DI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Hey all,
I used to post on the boards frequently, and in particular the OS board but have been away from it (and over spending as result!) for some time. In have decided to take the bull by the horns, jump in with both feet etc etc and get back into my frugal ways.
I always used to use the OS pleasure in my day board to reign me in so it seems like a good place to start and get my feet wet again so here goes.
* LSD (only bought a paper and 2 bananas for the pricely sum of 65p)
*met a mate unexpectidly up the town centre and invited her to mine for a natter and a coffee (no expensive costa coffee for me these days, no siree)
*enjoyed a bowl of soup from the big batch of HM tomato that hubby made yesterday - we will be eating this for a week as there is so much lol:rotfl:
*dinner for me and the 3 kids consists of chicken breasts, mash potato yorkshire pudding, gravy and broccolli all from freezer or storecupboard
*getting a washing out on the line to dry
*planning to make cupcakes with the kids and then watch a movie with them and have popcorn after (while hubbys at work).......cupcakes from storecupoard ingrediants and movie recorded from last night, popcorn will be homemade
hope to be speaking with u all soon - hopefully the road to redemption starts here......
having a chuckle to myself as id forgtten how theraputic i find doing this

Good evening all !
Welcome Nich
BoP :rotfl: I laughed my ar*e off about you burping like a trooper .:rotfl: Still laughing now:rotfl:
VJsmum - I can just picture you inspecting random children on a campsite" are you son of Frith ?"
5 for today
1. Out for most of the day
2.Manager said in an email (as he is on a course) ."We should meet so we could come to a "mutual understanding"". No way . I want it emailed so I have an audit trail.I'm not that thick.
3.Terrier took me to the park. I only have to walk a few feet out of the car as she just fetches the ball wherever I throw it and I don't have to bend much as its on one of those £land ball launcher things.
4.Quorn , pasta and pesto for tea.
5. DM banked some change to be used for the terrier if she needs the vet.
Have a lovely evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Hope animal ok pk

Happy birthday dr c only 7 days till happy birthday dr dd
Didnt sign in yesterday cos....
Went out for dinner with concert pianist friend up for long weekend from norwich. Xoh phoned at 11 cleary very distressed and worrying she had a dvt. Her dad had a dvt and had his leg amputated so i could understand the panic. I suggested a) a&e and b) the bf might want to accompany her. Yes to a&e but she'd rather me. So 4 hours in dundee's finest! And to cap it all bf is now sulking he didnt get to accompany her. Anyway, on to today...
1) meeting on main campus. Xoh's bf sat next to me eek but guess it's good to get it over (and cost no pennies so mse)
2) 2nd meeting came with free lunch so again mse
3) 3rd meeting got lift back to office with boss and had time to bend her ear about internationalisation plans
4) 4th meeting (yes it was a meetings day!) tea with director of masters programme i took years ago. We had good chat. He'd heard on the grapevine about me and xoh. Since i'd invited him to pick his brains about internationalisation i paid but wasnt too much
5) home to my boy :-) then walked him downto his new flat with the puppies.i think he'll nip home quite a lot!
