AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!! I hate estate agents, solicitors and buyers this morning. I thought we were going to exchange on my house today, but it seems as though all the solicitors are having a day off and haven't briefed their partners, so I had a tense and condescending (on his part) call with the partner of my solicitor's firm, asking me what I thought he could do about it........err, communicate with me/the other side, make decent notes on the file to make things we've agreed on (as he was clueless about major things on my file!), stop being a patronising idiot??

My estate agents who were chasing my buyers are in a meeting until lunchtime.

No one seems to give a carp about it, as despite me saying repeatedly both verbally and in letter/email, I need to exchange as soon as humanly possible, no one thinks that I'm serious and so they're all taking their own sweet time.

I just want to cry and hit something hard!! Poor DD isn't going to get her savings back for another week or so, as I can't pay the mortgage next month - and wasn't supposed to have to! :(

To say I'm in a foul mood is an understatement.........I wish I could just tell the lot of them to naff off.

Hugs to you kittikins hope it all gets sorted.....we have just had an email from our estate agents regarding the mess the tenants have left behind!! £360 worth of work needs done!! This will come off their deposit however I'd much rather they'd looked after our house!

So I will join you in a screaaaaam!

  • Haven't been around for a while. Had a busy few months with weddings, holidays and still settling into the new house. My mum got married :jbut then developed pneumonia :( she just rang me in tears because she feels so ill, need to write my five and count my blessings today.

    1. Lovely walk with Ian the dog. Had a few behavioural issues with him since we got back off holiday, something happened to him whilst we were away that has made him very nervous and on edge, the kennels aren't saying what but I know my dog but today he seemed quite relaxed and we enjoyed our walk together.

    2. Made an impromptu chickpea curry for last night tea. Used whatever was to hand as we haven't had time to sort out food shopping. Healthier than a take away and proud of myself for mustering the energy to make something.

    3. Sat and worked out a cleaning rota to help me keep on top of the house.

    4. Missed the Bake Off last night so i'll iplayer it when I get back from visiting mum tonight.

    5. Off to make a freezer inventory, nothing like making a list to calm the nerves.

Yay, day two of my new frugal lifestyle, getting back in the swing of things feels damn good.....

    1. bringing the washing in from the line and having that lovely smell that you only get from drying your towels nd bedsheets outside.:D

    2. LSD only bread, milk and nappies, totaling £3.50 - means after my weekly shop on Sunday ive only had to spend under £7 this week so far:T

    3. fish baked in breadcrumbs, HM chips and mushy peas all cooked to perfection by the hubby for tea.

    4. The babys face and excited squeals when her two older siblings came in from school, thinks she is missing them now that the summer holidays are over.

    5. Enjoying a leftover cupcake from last nights baking with the kids and a coffee as I type this.

Dang that feels cathartic lol :rotfl:

PS: Not sure if im posting on the right board but could someone point me in the right direction of a basic wholemeal bread receipe that i could do without the use of a breadmaker and any bread making experience i would be most grateful. Fancy giving this a bash!

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Special hugs to MMS, Kittikins, and anyone else in need of one. And hello nich, as I forgot to say it this morning!

    1) Last year I had a pair of boots which I wore until they literally fell apart. I have been looking for a replacement pair for ages but the company stopped making them a couple of months after I bought the first pair, and no amount of searching could locate any more. :( Today I walked past a shoe shop in the city centre and there were a pair, sitting on a shelf just inside the door, RTC as they're last year's design. :j

    2) Blue brie and tomato sandwich for lunch.

    3) My DM phoned to say one of her favourite singers is appearing in Portsmouth the day after her birthday next year, and would I like to go with her? OK then!

    4) Found a blackbird feather in the bird bath, which made me :).

    5) Several more strawberries ripe this evening, which I'll have with my pudding in a while.
Back after a very long break!

    Good evening all !

MMS- sorry to hear about your Mum and Ian the dog

PK - how is the animog ?

CCP - I think that you are missing having a cat.

BoP- FOOD !!!!!! :D S*d the jam though

KK - oh dear . I hope it gets sorted soon. Who are you a marketing it with (initials will do)??

Tealady- same here. But to be fair internet was down for nearly a month so couldn't Bzz.

    5 for today

    1. Work ok as sort of "gatekeeping" in managers absence . He is back tomorrow and I am out of the office.:D

2.Took terrier out- she now won't eat her breakfast until she has seen me at 7.15 am. Then she dances around it barking ... who knows what goes on in her head ??

3.DM bought herself some black trousers in the MnS sale for £10. They are too tight for her and fit me well and will be great for work. They are not Old Lady-ee trousers either. Make my bum look better than it actually is :rotfl::rotfl:Not bad for a tenner.Although the dog will be banned from going near them as she is white.

    4. Made prawn (quorn for me) satay for tea and steamed some beans from the garden.

    5. Tired - Restoration Home then bed me thinks.I adore Ms. Quentin, she is very motherly (deffo not like me) Only one more day then off until next Weds.:T

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A
