    3) friend i'd stayed within a&e when he burnt his hands sent me a beautiful bouquet. Very unexpected. Was momentarily worried it was guilt offering from xoh
    4) phd student came round for supper. Well he came round to use the washing machine but offered to cook supper. His ex is italian and has taught him to cook some very nice food
    5) his ex is not quite his ex so he read me recent text exchanges and asked my advice.i have nooooo idea but we had a fun evening and walked the dogs. I might have an empty bed but i have some wonderful friends.

    Tuesday pleasures!

Sunny day ( blooming cold wind though)
Early morning doctor appointment so left house at 7.30 am and quick marched up the hills for 20 minutes and skipped back down them...2 kg lighter!
Went shopping..oh dear...but all things purchased in the sales and all put away for Christmas.
Got the bus home...it went up by our old house so it was nice going that way but I do not miss those hills!
Took a box of old toys to op shop.
Have made a beef curry for dinner and my naan bread is sitting in the sun proving.

    Have a lovely day !

    1) Really good sleep last night after lying awake for much of Sunday night.

    2) Wore a new pair of shoes to work and they only rubbed a little bit - by my standards that's really good!

    3) RTC walnut bread for lunch - lovely stuff.

    4) I have tomorrow booked off work as I was expecting a parcel, but it's just been delivered so I've got an unscheduled day to do something more entertaining that twiddling my thumbs and waiting for a delivery. :)

    5) Picked a big handful of HG French beans for dinner.
Back after a very long break!

    Good evening all !

LFS- glad to hear that you are feeling perkier !

Mhagster - well done ..what it the low carbs?

VJsmum - My DM would have said ...."you can walk home" if we were stroppy. (She did deposit my stunned brother by the kerbside once) A bit difficult for your DS in Mickeyland unless he is a good swimmer ..

    5 for today

    1. Site visit went well.

    2. A colleague who is being re deployed for health reasons came in today to empty her desk after being off for 9 months. She has been through it big time. She was very tearful and needed cheering up. It was lovely to see her though.

    3. Back felt better after Diazep. last night. Writing on a flip chart finished me off yesterday, just holding up my arm for goodness sake - how ridiculous !

    4. rtc pizza for tea.

    5. My D.Bro. , nephew and neice came over to tell me about their recent holiday. I went to the same resort with DBro and SIL 15 years ago ( with a different OH !)Much laughter about his exploits in a place known to me.

have a good evening all !

Home made sandwich, interspersed with bites from the stack of green leafy things on the side.

Being given an armful of Rick Riordan books for the lads!

Getting to the podiatrist on time, and just sitting, reading, together. OK, so it'll Never be a raving popular family activity, but it's nice to sit together, each in our own universe.

"Exploring" the new Morrisons - it's not vast, but it has a great range of sprinkles etc that a nut-allergic godchild cam cook with. Oh, and little packs of sushi (made with cooked fish) with soy in little plastic fish bottle. I get prawn sushi, one lucky son gets the little fish.

Picking up another pack of school shirts with the groceries. I'm reckoning that if I do this g-r-a-d-u-a-l-l-y, it won't cause the shock/horror that one raving monster shop did last year. I do need to agree with the lads where these shirts will accumulate though, as there's a pack in the (otherwise empty) bath & another on the kitchen table...

Rounding up stuff to take training & only being short one cable! Small victory dance - I was expecting it to be Much Worse!

    1. Made frozen yogurt with raspberries....yum.
    2. Made a rosemary hair rinse which I am about to try - just rosemary tea really.
    3. Dusting...I like dusting - yes, I do charge by the hour!
    4. Picked homegrown salad for dinner.
    5. Gave someone a hug - he needs it, his wife died today, our dear friend.
Hugs are one of the best therapies, for giver and recipient. Sad but all I could do.
  • Kittikins hope exchange and completion go ahead as planned

Chicken - glad you are feeling better

Frith - hope the camping is going well
