5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Think the back might be a bit of an infection, touch wood n all that it seems to be not as bad today.
1. Poets day over here
2. 2 loads of washing hanging on the line – why do I keep feeling like singing 10 green bottles when I read this pleasure!:rotfl:
3. Just made cauliflower cheese and marrow stuffed with cous cous from the earlier in weeks rtc’s and it was suprisingly tastey:o
4. Had 4 calls about job roles so who knows, none of them sound that promising if I am being honest.
5. Varying degrees of tidied up
6. Haven’t needed to buy much apart from milk to take with us at the weekend, I have made homemade burgers, taken sausages, pre made potato salad, and of course cooking bacon from the freezer for a brekkie sarnie.
7. Just need get of my bum and pop to Mr T for the above milk, but so sleepy, must be time for a nap.:D0 -
1) NSD.
2) A delicious, ripe, sun-warmed wild blackberry. I only had one as it was from the wildlife patch at work and the berries there are really intended for birds and animals rather than greedy humans, but it was so perfect, and so perfectly at my eye-level, that I couldn't resist.
3) LO Greek salad for lunch.
4) Seeing a white admiral butterfly in my garden, the first I've ever seen.
5) Knowing it's only a half day at work tomorrow. :jBack after a very long break!0 -
I must put my dun hat on &. Linked sorted. Listening. Still no get the Mornington Crescent.
Sorry can not get yous updates from the nest this weekend due to softies mucking about with the boreds. POETS Day the morrow.
14 days to go.
14days to go
No pleasures as away from Ms Whach
Ooooooooh, ampers. Hoss Pee really!0 -
Evening' all <knees bend>:)
LFS I wish you lived nearer but that what we're all thinking. Pity it's not possible for you to split yourself into little pieces! Broccoli is a fav veg, love it with cheese sauce, or as b & stilton soup, or raw in salads, or....any way it can be served!
chicken I'm envious, I also love doughnuts
mhags just you sit down a bit more, never mind rushing round the house finding the washing, you deserve some you time before you start your new role.
PK we used to go to a steam rally at Knowl Hill every year when I lived in HT, always such good fun, I remember the noise and smell was very exciting so I can see the attraction to travel to others
Frith so Prince Frith is really Prince George? And very handsome he is too
1. Been one of the busiest but most unexciting birthday's I've ever had, shopping, cleaning, making sure the dog looks his best for his vist to DD tomorrow
2. Birthday celebrations start in earnest in the morning, friends and I are going to the Hilton in Brum for the weekend
3. A friend asked how old I am today, I told her it's too awful to think about so she suggested I turn it back to front to make myself younger - but I can't, it's the same either way
4. Rescued a sparrer from the cat, fortunately it didn't seem hurt and flew away as soon as I got it out the the horrid creature's mouth
5. I have to say it. The yellow thing. Just a few more weeks of it please, or months?
6. This is not a pleasure, it's a plea but not aimed at anyone here of course. In Mr M this morning, first day of the school holidays, I must have heard at least a dozen mum's shout/moan/snap at their child/ren. One even told her son to hurry up choosing some sweets and when he did she said 'you don't want those, we're buying these'! The plea is for a gag before I say something I shouldn't
Have a good weekend, back Sunday0 -

4. water scarecrow continuing to keep the cats off the lawn... no deposits since it was installed !
5. Last day at work tomorrow then off for 3 WEEKS !! (chick)

:T
:bdaycake::bdaycake:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Skint that's interesting to know about Dorset, when we first started going if you hadn't booked by April you had no chance of getting pre paid prices.
Well I went to Mr T and returned a Top for a refund, picked the milk and the only extras I walked out with were a punnet of strawberries for 20p and lettuce for 10p, yay me, so in theory spent minus 7 pounds :rotfl:

Happy birthday, Sparrer. :starmod::bdaycake:
Does anyone know where my keys might be? Only have one set of keys. House key on it and the ONLY car key. And they've gone....0 -
Happy birthday sparrer xx hope you've had a lovely day:)
We are having an open day sometime in september, for pancreatic cancer charity, perhaps I should put it on the charity board nearer the time! But it will just be a load of old tractors and shepherds huts!!
I like sandringham country fair PK but its all posh wellies and gundogs! Hope you're feeling better:)
I have to eat anything that looks like its past its best out of my little stall, perhaps I should start a challenge post to eat what's left over every day! No one wants broccoli! And marrows, I dont like marrow! (and I use alot to make relish!) and redcurrants, can't sell them, hence HM cordial
1. Little glass weck jars for cordial canning. Oh so cute and old fashioned
2. HM chips for tea:D
3. My mate fed his tea, I know he's eaten this week now!
4. 1 red tomato:) and a huge pepper!
5. Books from the market raising money for little library:) The austerity cookbook..circa 1975!!
6. Oooh and I went to the butchers..i love the butchers! And he had a HUGE piece of freshly rolled brisket, over 2 feet long..so I had some, but not 2 feet!!
Im happy:D So spread the love xx spread the smiles:D2013 NSD 100. CC2014CC- £31.50/£1352014 NSD 86 so far - May 20/212014 G/C spend £741.55 so far May £107.99/£91Debt Free - 30.05.13 Emergency tin - £1000June 23 - 9NSD0 -
I so wish you were closer to me, LFS - I'd happily take some marrows off your hands (I love stuffed, baked marrow ), and I'd be more than happy to get my hands on some redcurrants for jam, as well.
Frith - sorry, no sign of the missing keys here.A couple of weeks ago I mislaid my watch, only to find it the next day in my coat pocket.
I don't suppose you've done something similar?
Oh, and I know I've already said it on another thread, but happy birthday sparrer - have a fantastic weekend in one of my favourite cities.Back after a very long break!0
