The fraud is annoying, we have ordered 3 credit reports to go through with the police, as they suspect that this has gone on for a while, it’s just so disheartening when we have been very careful to clamber back up financially at least, from the point where we almost lost the house, hey ho it will pass.

I tried not to look to enthusiastic when I accepted another 6 months, having looked in the job market.

Not much planned this weekend as I know we will be out enjoying next weekend, that plus I didn’t fancy walking around getting soaked in the snow drizzle.

Sparrer: Fantastic news about passing the job interview phase for your DS, and some great reductions there.
    Skint: 5am that’s dedication
Hope every one is enjoying the weekend

    1. Wondering if the snow is going to settle, DH squeaked when we opened the curtains to heavy snow coming down.
    2. Clean bedding on, old bedding clean and drying, deep cleaning stuff going through the washing machine.
    3. A ridiculous amount of tidying and cleaning but could tidy for a year and only just make a difference.:rotfl:
    4. I went window shopping online but didn’t spend anything
    5. Don’t know whether to be in aww or slightly annoyed at the squirrels sheer genius of getting seed out of the squirrel proof feeder, esp when there was food available for it!
    6. Opened a mars share bag which we did thou tried to figure out why it is reseal-able.:):rotfl::)
    7. I will be a lazy bum and ordering in later as it’s the weekend, and it’s BOGOF offer.:o:o
    8. The unnamed rescue chap who is now here, is going to be bathed tonight, that should be errr entertaining

    Evening all.

No snow on the south coast - having seen what conditions are like elsewhere in the country I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or not, despite my usual love of snow!

    1) After a miserably chilly night on Thursday I put the fleece blanket back on the bed last night and slept very well, waking up later than I would like to admit! :o

    2) Treated myself to a lazy sort of day - I've put out the rubbish and washed all the household bins with some antiseptic, but otherwise have done nothing much more than read and mess about on the computer. :)

    3) Something that I hope will prove to be money saving - ordered a box full of smoked meat and fish for a SO price of £10 (plus an unbargainous £8 for delivery - couriers must be raking it in ), in exchange for signing up for a monthly delivery, at full price, for at least two more months. If the stuff's good it's a bargain; if it's not, I'm going to have an lot of overpriced meat and fish to find a use for. :undecided (If anyone else wants to take a risk with me, I can PM the link.)

    4) Chicken casserole for dinner, and some of the extra chicken for mog, although I've had to take it away for the time being as he was eating it so fast he made himself sick again. smiley-rolleyes010.gif

I can't think of a fifth one, although it hasn't been a bad day at all - it means I've got one in reserve for another time, I suppose. ;)
Back after a very long break!

Hello all - have been up to my neck in cup cakes, other cakes and icing. Hello WBQMS, get well poorlies and poorly animals

    Yesterday
    1. Cup cake disaster was reasonably salvaged - they would not bleeding well cook, but I think they are OK
    2. Lunch with friend
    3. Nice tea of beef goulash - even DS liked it
    4. Went to DD's show again - it was even better than last week, DS wasn't going to come but did in the end. He had his eyes opened at how much nicer DD's school is compared to his.
    5. Bumped into a former aquaintance there - both stunned to see each other and were sat next to each other. Small world.

    And today
    1. Slept in till quite late
    2. Had a long lazy bath.
    3. DD's show was cancelled due to weather. She is a bit disappointed but is not feeling quite so well so it is a good thing.
    4. Cup cakes disaster - the wrappers were peeling off, not quite sure why, so I decanted them into clean wrappers. Then, after what can only be described as a c0ck up on my part, i ended up with 3 quantities of sponge cake mix. The upside is that I have a victoria sandwich and a chocolate vic sandwich in the freezer and a lemon drizzle cake on the go. The cakes finally iced rather well and look OK. They are for Goddaughter's 18th party which was threatened with cancellation but has been slightly rejigged and will go ahead.
    5. Night off with TV, will turn off lights for earth hour at 8.30

    Night all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Evening

Frith - The Ideal Home Show was at Earls Court in London. Which is great as easy to get to for us.

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Woke up at a reasonably early so got myself out of the door to get the food shopping done. Came in £5 over budget this week but will hopefully be back on budget next week.
    2. Bumped into MIL in Aldi this morning so she gave me a lift home which I was very thankful for as was freezing outside.
    3. Made brunch when got home of sausages, hash browns and beans with toast, very yummy
    4. Spent the rest of the day warm indoors with lots of cups of tea and reading.
    5. Simple warming dinner of HM veg soup with some ravioli and garlic bread.

Hugs to all who need them and hope everyone is staying warm and dry.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Bit of a lie in.

    2) The ex couldn't get his car out to pick up sons. :D

    3) EBay t shirt came in the post for bigger son.

    4) Porridge for breakfast.

    5) Sons went sledging for HOURS.

    6) MrN took my primus away to fix it. (We had power cuts for much of the day).

    7) Took hot chocolate down to sledging sons.

    8) MrN and 4 assorted boys made an igloo this afternoon.

    9) Sausages for tea which were erm.... very local.

    10) Watched Casualty.

Just ridiculous amounts of snow here - posssibly the most I have seen in the 14 years since I moved in. I would say an average of 8 inches and in the drifts (around cars etc) up to my knees or more.

Here is a picture taken from my bedroom window this morning. There was far more than this after lunch!

Hope everybody is safe and warm and not in an area of power cuts. Those poor people, must be absolutely miserable for them :(

Frith it looks lovely - from inside ;)
DD can't imagine how you survived in that temp, you'll be wearing your bikini when you get home :rotfl:

    1. slept in til 10am, I think the furries knew about the snow overnight so didn't wake me because they know what always happens when they do :D
    2. made a tray of livercake for the dog, and another of cat treats
    3. sc'd a chicken and stripped it from the bone for the furries meals
    4. nsd/npd, just enjoyed looking at the trees through the window
    5. for Earth Hour I lit the candles, made a cuppa and sat down with a fresh cream French slice :p

    Sweet dreams :)

Sparrer - was it Earth Hour??? We always do that, can't believe we missed it! Mind you, the power was off for a few hours yesterday then several hours intermittently today so we did our bit!

Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm in this current weather and being careful driving :) Pleasures this week:

    1. After spending three weeks planning a cake, finally getting to make it.

    2. After making said cake taking it to Ideal Home and winning a K-Mix (wasn't very hopeful at the time but very happy, never won anything like that before!)

    3. Finding jobs I can actually apply for without very specific requirements.

    4. Spending time with my friends (and them cooking unexpected roasts).

    5. Finally a nice cup of tea and a long lie in. Simple pleasures.
