Thanks all re DD - she did her drama monologue assessment today and the teacher said he would have given her an A for that too. The examiner, however, may be a different matter but given this is her career choice it is good that it isn't misplaced at the moment. Next years auditions may tell a different story.

BoP - frightening isn't it? I used to live on that bus route and catch that bus regularly. Of course it isn't the bus route's "fault" but it does make you think.
    CCP - Your poor foot.
Chicken - one of my fave films of all time is an old black and white (Twelve Angry Men). So NOT R Adlington, more like B Whale :D

    Today's pleasures

    1. Wore my favourite new jumper
    2. Lunch with friends
    3. Had various bits plucked, waxed and tinted (sorry if TMI :rotfl:)
    4. Out with family for a curry - one of the nicest I have ever had and nice for us all to go out but has blown the budget and the weightwatchers allocation but what the hell
    5. DD seems much brighter today so I think some of it was exam anxiety.

Off to Kent early doors tomorrow. A long day ahead but I've no marking :T DD shall I do some of yours? It means I can catch up with some reading and write some more of my assignment. Have a good one all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Pleasures for today....

    1) Hip is marvellous after yesterday's clicking it back in the right place. So slept a whole night through without the pain to wake me up.

    2) Got my mum her mother's day present. She is learning the piano accordian so am always on the lookout for music for it and found some today.

    3) Went to college.

    4) Brother came round for tea.

    5) Bingo! Smaller son the very last line then the last full house! He got chocolate and marshmallows for the line and a chicken and vegetables for the full house. :-D

Apart from that, rather a dull day. A couple of cross messages in bigger son's homework diary. :-( One for being cheeky and the other that "M has only brought his PE shirt to lessons for several weeks and has had to wear his school trousers. Please check he has the right PE kit". Yes, well, bigger son has a perfectly adequate pair of black jogging bottoms in his PE bag but it seems he "doesn't like them" so chose to wear his school trousers instead. :-/
  • Tooooooooooo excited, cannot sleep!!
    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • Butty buns packed, juice and apple in duffle bag.
Coat on. See yous lot in the morrow.

A hot hello from Hot town!
We've had a week in high 30's and another week of the same forecast, I'm totally over the heat! Come on autumn!

A few pleasures ....well the washing dries very quickly in the heat....so that's a bonus!

A very busy working week came to an end so that was another bonus!

Nice phone calls with friends x3 this morning ( another heat filled night meant I just got up at 5am this morning, so lots of time to chat)

OH is feeling a bit better which is good to see, hospital appointment this coming week with decisions to be made re more surgery so we'll see what they say.

Our grass grew ( after 3 months of straw!) after last weeks torrential downpours and has been cut ....first time since before Christmas......so that's been money saving !

    I bought a Bread maker today...full of inspiration :)

There I managed 5, I'm struggling with the heat!

    Have a great weekend :)

Shall try and note 5 quickly. Many birds with broken wings this week and next and v. little time atm.

    1. Haven't even heard Archers this week, but may catch omnibus on i-player demain.

2.Yellow horsepills have hit bronchitis where it matters - no hospital stay, grâce à Dieu. Enough was happening via Surgery/Ad'bkes to put the wind up me. Oomph catch-up is taking longer, as found at...

    3. Spitalfields on Thursday. Just HAD to resume. A poor day, ill-begun with crate tumbling from trolley. Saw the broken pieces as I picked it up....something I'd prized and brought back from NZ. BUT, I stuck it out and did small banking yesterday.

    4. I have brought 2 good souls together. This presages at least a passage of calm and friendship, if not more, for both.

    5. Long-hauler visit yesterday. Glad I went. I always am, on many levels.

    6. [Just to complete my usual 5, so deffo. back on track]Back to bitter cold today, but Thermos done, simple no-spend victuals assembled, as I head to Kings Lynn for [month-ago paid concession tkt] to Henning Wehn. I have liked him more and more when heard on R4. Checked up with a pub re:rugby screening close by this arvo. Je m'en vais - hoorays!

Special love and comfort with soft hugs to ykwya among us.

dd- I expect to see that sticker striding diagonally across your putah screen in the new orifice any day now:-)
