    Hi to the newbies !

    Broomstick -
I hope your DS1 gets well know and it bypasses you.

    6 for today

    1. Late entry for yesterday - used my £25 "good will" gesture at local restaurant . Took OH - bill came to £25.85. Service excellant food ok this time so tipped waitress and wrote a "thank you" to the company that sent voucher.

    2. Let hens out at 6.30am and went back to bed and read a free kindle book which I couldn't put down. Got up at 10 ish :o V. late for me !

    3. Made rock buns for OH's diving buddy as they are going tomorrow. He came round today and asked for some to take on the boat.

    4. Did 20 miles on exercise bike watching Ch 4 racing .

    5.Just had a roast chicken dinner :)

    6. Doc Martin - repeats I know but I love it.

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    My 5 for today:

    1. My dog curled up next to me on the bed, big baby!

    2. Dog muzzles. Sweet as doggie is now, earlier today she was v. norty and bit me. The muzzle was falling apart where she has been trying to get it off of herself....well i found some matching ribbony stuff, webbed kind of stuff, strong...and sewed it up and it worked just fine.

    3. Enough. Enough food. Enough means of warmth and washing. Enough clothing. Enough meds.

    4. My gorgeous new sewing box, a gift from my DD. so cute!

    5. DD nipped helldee and bought me a packet of white choc buttons for a little treat. Very nice!

chicken love the picture of you riding the exercise bike watching the racing. Did you speed up as the excitement mounted?
    1) finished off two ends of christmas cheese with toast. In bed. I love saturday :D
    2) then long soak in bath using last bath fizz from xmas 2011 and even older face mask
    3) then more decluttering, cleaning, moving things to better places. Parts of house now looking really good
    4) then took mum to rodis, very good turkish cafe. We had the special which today was fish pie, salad and chips £6.95
    5) then we wentto dca to watch quartet. We got there 30 minutes early and only 11 tickets left so we decided to queue straight off and got good seats. Sold out by start. What a lovely film. Super story, script, staging, acting and music.
    6) then back to mum's to watch her new tv, sorry home cinema
    7) then bowl of hm tom soup
    8) then back home for glass of wine and Top Hat
    9) and now bed listening to newsquiz again cos it was very funny
Oops more than 5 but it's saturday :-)

CCP - that's what it has been like here for ages! But a little snow this morning then back to occasional drizzle.

Here are my pleasures for today (Saturday).

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Got loads of washing up done, 2 loads of washing, changed my bed, dusted the lounge and washed floors downstairs and the stairs.

    3) Soup from the freezer for lunch.

    4) Went for dinner at my sister's; picked up an Indian takeaway beforehand. She and her boyfriend are talking about buying a house together in a few months!

    5) In bed now (2 hwb) and going to watch Casualty in a minute.

DD its lovely to see so many pleasures from you x

CCP hope the anti-B's are working. Pleased to see your phone turned up after all the problems you have had with parcels recently..... but I suppose it was private courier being as it was a phone, rather than useless RMail !

No snow here, only torrential rain yesterday. Dare I say.... the sun is out at the moment so washing machine is on .... have a mountain of washing to catch up on. Snow is forecast for later

    1. Had a lie in. No cars revving in the street this morning to wake me up or smash into my car (we are opposite a school so the road is much quieter at weekends )

    2. lovely bacon and egg for brekkie

    3. watched war horse on DVD with DS. DS bought it me for xmas. A bit schmaltzy but enjoyed it

    4. Cooked a rtc duck for tea (£2.50 in aldi before xmas and put in freezer) , we had half with pancakes etc and half with blackbean sauce and rice .... nom nom.
Wish I had a bigger freezer as there were about 10 ducks rtc but my freezer was full of xmas food at the time so I could only fit one duck in

    5. Good nights sleep again, and the sun is out this morning
Have a good sunday everyone x

  • I now nose how to tenderise roast chicken. Let it gallop a while on the treadmill.

5 the snow is a no show. Typical Met Office. Miss one hurricane and now every 1 degree drop in temperature is a global event.

4 Do not treat the above as a forecast, as temperatures may rise and fall.

3 Cat's table manners are paw this morning, went for the marmite and ended up with the jam knife. SPARRA, be waned of him.

2 Last day for twos this week, then off til Thurs nite.

Will try again to post! Computers are not a pleasure today.....however the following are:

Early morning awakening so chat with friend from home.
Back to bed and could almost have had what you would call a lie in
A day of much pottering about...I do like to potter:

Made lentil soup, slow cooked RTC steak for dinner tomorrow, baked rtc sausages for dinner with salad, made a HUGE pear sponge, made brownies and made muesli cookies.....using very out of date muesli ....however my son seems to like them! And some fairy cakes.

Wandered up to library ( having stood under my eucalyptus tree at front of house and counted at least 30 noisy crows....not sure what was going on.)
Watched casualty.....I'm all caught up on my episodes now.

Read a magazine and put it in charity bag.

Tidied hall cupboard....was on my mental to do list for the week. I think everything is now done, including washing down kitchen cupboard doors.

Looked after my poorly husband who is just not feeling well at all....he has been well looked after all day.

I have applied for my first job. Blimey! What a process! Hey, I might not be considered but I'm not going to get another job without applying .

A deliciously cool day again, so nice to have doors and windows open and fresh air coming in. We can only open doors/ windows that have fly screens on them. And if it's too hot you just fill your house with hot air which is not nice.

Okay had better go and organize my stuff for back to work in the morning....alarm clock set!

    have a lovely day :)
