Good evening all !
missmoneysave - I hope all goes well with your Mum's biopsy.
VJsmum - your weekend sounds exciting and very nostalgic. You are right though as not many people can say that their reunion was held in the school .
My friend attended our 20th year of leaving school reunion in 2005 and some toss8r nicked her purse !
PQ- the bit about your skirt sticking out at the back made me laugh:rotfl:
CCP - Those cupboards will beckon you ...It's good to hear that you are doing another course though !Especially as this time of year requires a huge amount of effort for you with your SAD x
PK- ???? Bet they loved ya !:)
5 for today
1. Had an induction meeting with my new manager . Was supposed to last 1 hour went on a lot longer .It was OK -she thinks I am a "natural decision maker"... I read this as me being a bit bossy
2. I normally crash and burn when the clocks go back or forward but so far it's been ok.:)
3. Mercuriel Muriel the hen is moulting and is in a vile mood .The garden is full of her feathers and she is very unsettled . How can nature make her naked now ??
4.Chow mein for tea and HM prawn crackers
5. About to shave OH's hair off ...he looks like a vagrant . He has ironed sooo many things today and put them neatly packed away in the suitcases .
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

3. had a cuppa whilst sat in kitchen with sun streaming in the window between showers and saw another butterfly flutter past

Will be buying low odour paint in future.

pk - How went your first day? We all want to know.
MMS - thoughts with you for your Mum. It's hard to reconcile with your own triumph, but they're separate things and your new strength and confidence will stand you both in good stead. Your Mum's pride in your achievement will be a resource for her too.
1. Just put 'phone down from France. M rang - trying to sort the probs of l'imprimante with them both on speaker phone and fairly clueless. Have now em'd with screenshot instructions and will hopefully see the sticking point and instruct from there. It might be a while as B. has to do hotel bookings for trade fairs tonight as well.
2. Imagine yourself in salle de bain. You sit - as one does. In a micro-slowdown of bizarre, A Certain Seat pings and flips up behind One. [Permitted chortle point] 4 affixing screws[no longer qualifying for that description]fly like bullets. One is propelled, fortunately not hitting deck as Seat flies, too. It didn't break. Neither did I. I admit it is kitsch sunflowers in clear resin and I like it. Grande Dame de Système D comme que suis, I fixed it. Not as easy as it sounds. Fiddly and time-consuming, but done.
3.More DIY. Set up 4 curtain wires inside hot water cupboard for wet weather drying.
4. Theme continues....I'd left the bath plughole mastic-y job to go off for 48 hours.
Water stayed in for post-Gym bath, so Big Hooray! and it felt lovely.
5. Another late walk this afternoon. Somehow wanted to complete High Street by heading to other end - old Saxon model, so long and meandering, several miles in all. Then wasn't sure where High Street ended and X Road began. Decided it's probably at point where Lord F's land runs to last houses. Ruminating on this in corner of his field and then watched distant fireworks go up in darkening sky. Robin and blackbird both saying 'Time to go home', so I did, picking a few stems of something yarrow-like, white umbelliforms. Last night, the snowberries gleamed as I looked out kitchen window. These others have joined them. Have a look at the moon tonight, in full galleon sail and fabulous.

TILAMS - YOU HAVE MY CAT, MY GLORIOUS BIG GINGER BOY - r.i.p. TOM, and none since, as my Life is now more nomad than fixed.
VJM - The Archers - last night's announcement was delivered in portentous tones, as we all know Em and Ed are in £hit>>>£fan territory. Wusser still, Ed has had to call Alistair out to one of the cows tonight and Emma has just confessed: She's spent all the Car Tax money[really plodding heavy weather scriptwriting getting to what is obvious]....'I HAD to, Ed'. Ed 'Wha....' 'On BASICS, Ed'.
Everyone Garth Malone with me: '...dum-ti-dum-ti-dum-ti-dum. Dum-ti-dum-ti-dah-da,' until demain à deux heures.
Now, have firm PhD proposal on Archers comparatives and sub-sets. Consulting Wiki, I find this:

Didn't manage after all, did I?
Glad you've had News Quiz.
Watched HIGNFY this arvo and Wow, little terrier Ian after 'Sir' Con...Black was something to see! Both good value, provided one remembers not to be smarmed and charmed.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Evening all.
ampersand - I love your description at #5 - I can just see it.
Skint - Wilko are pretty good at customer service, aren't they? Over the summer my little plastic greenhouse broke, taking all my seedlings with it , and they refunded both the cost of the greenhouse and the cost of the lost plants. :T I'm glad the smell's easing a bit now.
Chicken - OU courses always used to start in the spring, which I hated as it meant I had to study through the summer when I'd rather be out and about. Now they start in the autumn and, as you say, that causes problems with my SAD - I can't win!
TILAMS - I just love that feline smile - he's a handsome lad.
BAGGY - I'm glad you had a nice time, despite the foul weather.
MMS - it's good to see you back. I hope all turns out OK with your DM.
sparrer - sorry, I knew what you meant about football fans - I was only teasing.Last night's pie was my first try of pigeon - I wasn't keen on the recipe, which was a bit sweet for my taste, but very much liked the pigeon itself. I'll be buying it again, particularly when it's so cheap. :money:
PK - I hope you had a good first day - do let us know!
1) Had to go and collect a parcel from the PO at lunchtime - recently queues have been an hour and a half long  so I was delighted (and very surprised) to be in and out within 10 minutes.
2) Got the chance to re-tell the story of April's great cow / train disaster at work today - it was scary (actually, downright terrifying) at the time, but it makes a good story in hindsight.(With the emphasis on the 'hind', I've just realised! :rotfl:)
3) Got home to find my parking space free of cars - I guess last night's lecture from another tenant who they'd blocked in has convinced them stealing the space is more trouble than it's worth!
4) Made a good start on my essay, before being side-tracked by football. :footie: Better than cupboards, I suppose!
5) Cheese and mushroom omelette for dinner, with a couple of Friday's rescue tomatoes roasted with some s&p., despite a rather under-cooked omelette (I just can't seem to get them right at the moment - either I over-cook them to the point of dryness, or under-cook them so the middle's still liquid :undecided).
Have a nice, warm, dry evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Thank you for the lovely thoughts and comments, sorry for the rather late update today I was trying to be polite and chatty and in doing so managed to miss all of the trains on the way back!
Missmoneysave:- Wow the job sounds amazing, but I am sorry to hear about the worries for your mum.
Despite all the trains had to throw at me my first day was ok, though I was reminded why I don’t like taking 2 trains, as when ones delayed it all goes wrong. The bright side I remembered to take in my lunch.
I am trying to keep chatty I am not a naturally chatty person so have to work at it and find it a bit hard.:o
I meal planned so tonight’s food is cooking away.:D
I feel fairly with it for the end of a work day
Had to grin I spotted 2 people at work online – during lunch- on this website..:money:0 -
PK put your feet up you deserve it .
had a good day myself but am thinking of the people over in the USA and that awful storm.0
