5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Pleasure for today (Monday)
1) Good sleep and lie in.
2) Got house tidy.
3) Went to B and Q for very obscure LED bulb to fit my Ikea lamp. The chap sold bigger son some wood offcuts for £2 for BMX ramps. :-)
4) Sainsburys for lunch and shopping.
5) Sons did 2 pumpkin carvings and 2 massive marrows! They are still alight on the windowsill now so I am having to sit in the dark to make them obvious to passing motorists.
6) Exciting news - new window frames are being fitted Nov 8th! Had no idea they would be that quick (was about 2 months last time) so will have to belt up to Ironbridge to get the tiles to go on the kitchen windowsill before they arrive with the frames! Also got to move the log pile from in front of the living room window otherwise they won't be able to work very easily at all.
7) Lovely evening at my parents. We went 6.30 for a huge bonfire, hot dogs, tomato soup and toffee apples. We took a few fireeworks and sparklers as well.
8) Boys asleep now so it'll be a hot bath for me then bed with a hwb and possibly the News Quiz!
Very much looking forward to tomorrow which will be our annual trip to London :-)0 -
CCP yes it is surprisingly sweet, does your recipe include icing sugar? I use about a 1/4 of the suggested amount and it's much better
MMS sending whte light your DM's way
TILAMS consider him taken - though I think I'll have to fight the current Ms Sonny for him!
PK loved your last re the staff looking in on the site
BAGGY welcome back, used to love playing games with the children when the rain was beating on the roof and it was all cosy in the caravan. And chips  sounds perfick

3. Neighbours lovely DD posted my g/nieces birthday card for me
4. Postie brought me a coffee-pot sized sachet of coffee, two cereal coupons and a packet of tissues. It was a bit like the C-word!

Sweet dreams0 -
vjsmum/DD thank you so much (said in her best sarcastic voice) for mentioning that Jolene and Sid in the shower event . I'm still sulking after Nigel's demise and have given up being an addict.
My five for Monday:
1. Seven huge bags of rubbish/recycling taken to the dump.
2. Some bargains at Mr S.
3. Veggie tikka for supper.
4. Treated myself to a craft magazine which is a real luxury.
5. DS1 turned up having bought a cheap tricorn hat to add to the pirate get up - looks fantastic! He and his gf have also apparently bought temporary tattoos. Must get a picture of them all dressed up.

Good morning all !
PK- apart from the trains , its sounds like you had a good first day ? I am not a naturally chatty person to people I don't know - it would be "false" if I tried to be . Bet yer face hurts from all that grinning
ampersand - bathroom capers :rotfl:Hislop did go in for the kill didn't he? More so than usual , I thought CB "held" his own albeit with an unpleasant touch of grandiosity that I think that only Paxman can pull off iyswim?
OT - Yes hurricane Sandy is reeking (sp) havoc . I do feel for them x

Morning
Pleasures for yesterday;
1. Breakfast with DD before we both had to be out of the door.
2. Picked up a trashy paper to get the free lego with it to put away for stocking fillers
3. Thanks to a reminder on this site managed to download another Special K voucher so that will be breakfast at work sorted for the next little while.
4. I had ran out of one colour of wool on the blanket I am currently making but managed to get the last ball left in the shop of that colour, phew. I thought I was going to have to undo the whole thing and start again. As got the whole blanket now all wound onto the frame and made a small start on the knotting.
5.Did a skill swap with a friend at lunch time. He sorted out the problem I was having with OH's computer and I fed him HM soup and bread. Both happy with the swap:D
Hugs to all who need them. Frith hope you have a fun day in London today with the boys.0
