  • VJsmum-:rotfl::rotfl:Yeah mine snores too, like a Tamworth Pig .In fact I poke him and shout Tamworth!... to get him to stop !! Its funny when he is fast asleep if I say "turn over " in a "loving voice" he is fine ..v. difficult to do though as murder is quite an attractive option at that point :D .

Skint - you do make me laugh "I know its an illegal question ":rotfl:I am tempted to phone them up anonymously for you and say "that form is unlawful , would you like me to forward it to the Human Rights Comission ???" and then "When can I start???";). The thing is I probably would do this ..

    Kittikins -
The Test is a series of case studies for me to ascertain what benefits each person should be entitled to. Been out of that role for around 3 years , not sure if I want to put myself through it tbh !

Have a good day all my somnolent friends :D

Hello.....when I last wrote I had eyebrows, rather scary and hairy.......slightly over zealous beautician has decimated my eyebrows .....not overly happy with what's left.....yikes! But they'll grow back....

Okay a busy day , I'm tired and ever so glad there's one day of the working week left!

    1. Last night of show was fantastic. I was so proud of all the kids there but especially my wee girl. OH struggled through the second half but managed to stay to the end.

    2. Kids had a day off school today for parent teacher meetings ( what's that all about? ) so had a mad dash home from work, then we walked to school and saw some teachers, then I took them out to our local Thai restaurant. Very yummy food.

    3. Visit to hairdressers, actually saw her at school show last night! She is very friendly and my hair is nice again....will need to sleep upright to keep it nice! Then asked if beautician could fit me in......hmmmm, wish I'd waited !

    4. Very mild today, the most lovely smells from shrubs on walk to school and then when I went out tonight to walk to hairdresser ( 3 mins away) ,the scent for something beautiful filled the air, however an hour later on walk home all I could smell was stinky possums!

    5. We have a crow's nest in the tree outside our house.....baby crows were crying for their mummy when we walked home from dinner.

I too love most of the wildlife here, however ,on my way to bed last night and was already later than usual as last night of show meant votes of thanks and presentations.....well, the hugest, thickest, hairiest and scairiest 8 legged creature in the hall......oh no! Much screaming, much hysteria and DS had to deal with it......I detest them.

Have a lovely Thursday......off to tidy up, so when my manager drops dog of tomorrow, he's not horrified!!

    Yesterday's pleasures:

    1. Had technical problems at work so left early to go to Reading

    2. The trains there were nice and smooth, and I got a seat both ways

    3. Met some nice competitors, I mean people who also want to go on the same course as me, at the open afternoon

    4. Tutor was interesting and quite funny, learned a lot and felt demoralised at times (as I felt old and inexperienced compared to some of the others) but also inspired at others

    5. Walked past a lovely cooperative food market and bought the most amazing bread and had a natter with the volunteers there. Shame they don't have one in our local town.

    6. DD's after school care plan worked brilliantly - she got to Brownies and then back here where OH was waiting for her

    7. Sunshine

    Today....

    1. DD's at a friend's so I've been doing 'stuff' not what I should be doing, but what the heck ;)

    2. Did an interesting course at work

    3. Boss took my letter to give to his local school for me to ask for some voluntary time there

    4. Reverbed 1p

    5. Cuddles with OH when I woke up, slept very well, needed to after all that walking yesterday!

    6. LV received in the post from doing a survey, yay

    Hi all

I am back and here are some pleasures at random:

    1 - Back home, priceless.

2 - Sleeping in my bed again

3 - Seeing my children again

4 - Another nice piece of tax rebate (and if I can get myself to do the last year there should be even more!)

5 - The fact that, in spite of being so much colder in the UK, I have a lovely warm hearted family here (in contrast with the lovely weather, sunny skies and clear sea of Italy, but a really REALLY disfunctional branch of my family there). Give me rain and love anytime over sun and discord!

6 - Found the house in "reasonable" state (e.g. still standing)!

It is good to be back, no, make that it is WONDERFUL to be back! Good night all x
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    5 for today so far.

    1) Bit of a lie in. No school bus as we were going to the dentist at 9.15.

    2) Unscathed at dentist.

    3) Popped down the road from the dentist and had a look at the revamped cinema. http://www.regaltenbury.org.uk/auditorium-view-towards-back/

    4) Dropped son off at high school and it was break time so we sneaked through so I could see his form room!

    5) Went to mum and dad's with some scraps for the pigs.

    6) Texts from OH.

    7) Picked a few lbs of blackberries.

    8) Got the fireguard put back together round the stove. Just need some logs now.

Forgot 2 bits. Picked smaller son up from school and his teacher came out and said they had not managed to get him in the classroom. She said a TA had been needed all day "just for him, taking her time from the other children". Then she turned on her heel and walked off. I just don't know what they want me to do or say. I didn't ASK him to behave like that. :-(

Other news - going on a course tomorrow called "Jams, Preserves and Vinegars" Hope we make something nice. Its 9-5!
