  • Thanks to all who say Jenny is ok. Going to Papworth makes me realise how lucky I am. Others there having tests etc and no blips. Me, one out of the ambulance, then four hours later in, fitted, makes you thinks.

    Evening from rather cool Melbourne.

    1. Set my alarm for 5.30am......yikes! However this meant I had time to have my usual chat with my friend and ......

    2. Be at the new swimming pool for 7am......yes , please do be impressed! I had a whole pool to myself at that time which was very nice. I asked about memberships but too expensive for me! I wouldn't be going often enough to make it worthwhile. DD1 came with me, she is NOT a morning person and had to be woken 3 times.

3.we then did our supermarket shopping , a kind customer in front of us gave us some money off vouchers, so I quickly ran round to take advantage of them!

4.in a less than good mood I did housework when I came in, I was not very gracious about any of this but house is tidy again, just not sure why it can't stay this way through the week.

    5. To work off my bad mood I took myself off to my office, shut the door, ate a packet of minstrels( which had been bought for DD1...she should learn to be more tidy then!) and finished the book I was reading and had a wee snooze.

Can I just say the doody magazines I read in library were in fact FOODY magazines.....in case anyone was wondering!

    Have a lovely weekend

DD you were very chirpy for a midnight poster ;) Had to look up brought(y?) ferry, the first two items on their website are Eating & Drinking, and Shopping' - sounds like my kind of of place!
Skint 'they' say you prepare three talks for an event - 1. copious notes on paper, 2. rehearsed in your head all week, and 3. the one I always seem to end up giving, whatever comes into your head at the time! Think it went okay, thanks, at least I didn't get thrown out :D
TILAMS don't know why, and may be a bit corny, but the words of Count Your Blessings came into my head when I read your post. Sometimes the words are just, well, right. And again I say, Thank God for Harry, England and St. George - and the NHS! :D

Going to gym, first time I've felt up to it for a couple of days - I must stop gallivanting and act my age. Now, where did I put that booking for Barcelona? Back with 5 later, have a sunny day :)

eta - mhags, there's only one 5.30 in my day, and it sure aint morning  . I did wonder about the doody mags, thought perhaps it was Oz for something, umm, naughty :rotfl:. Thanks for clarifying :D

I'll post a random 5 later, but now it's>village PO and Car Tax.
[That shows how long I've been away and I left too soon to be able to do it online]
Make the most of a fairly decent day, if chilly.

Ampersand!!! I was wondering about you the other day!

Chicken - phew! I haven't been to Hong Kong or Tokyo but it isn't at all humid. It is like a nice english summers day - 25 degrees and sunny and you only just need a light cardi at night.
Sparrer - your talk sounds like my lectures - roughly on the right subject but nothing like the notes.

    Yesterday and today

    1. The food!! Oh my word, the food. Delicious! Beef barbecue yesterday (though ice cold noodle soup is an aquired taste), duck at lunch time and crab tonight. My host pronounces his b's as p's so I did wonder what I was getting :rotfl:
    2. The hotel is rather lush - it's a shame I have to pay for a night! :p
    3. Today's session went well, but it is rather full on teaching for 8 hours at a stretch. Same again tomorrow.
    4. Went up a big tower thing (great description, eh?) at sunset. The most amazing sunset with a sky a colour I've never seen before (though i rather think that might be the pollution!). Fantastic views of Seoul in the darkness with lights ablaze
    5. Didn't seem to have any jet lag - more or less slept the night through but am away to my bed now.

    Night night! :D
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Welcome back &
    Vjsmum big tower thing lol
Mhags i used to love being 1st in the pool, diving into water smooth as glass. Now i'm far too lazy :rotfl:
    1) cooked breakfast, washing on and into the gym :j
    2) we walked onto l!dl then carried shopping home. So strange now just buying for 2
    3) had a good 90 minutes in the garden - raised bed all dug out :T
    4) went on a hot date with OH :D hope springs. Cant remember the last time just the 2of us went to the cinema. But the cost  We decided not to indulge in popcorn. Giggled through the film
    5) 5 mins home and DS turned up :T He'd got a party, could he have a Lift. Cooked him pizza and had nice chat about his first week at uni.
