Not often on this page but I had a bit of a result today. Went to local coop for milk and contemplated buying sliced meat for kids 1st ever 'big school' packed lunch. Then noticed a 1/2 price chook. So for the price of a packet of dodgy corned beef (never liked it but kids love it) got sandwich fillings x 4, tea for tonight and tomorrow's tea too. I let myself off about spending 50p more for the milk.0

Sorry it's brief just about to curl up and zzzzzz
1. A poorly me meandered into work slowly, big bonus Mgr out of the office so I could plod on without being “watched”:D
2. A hot bought sarnie for lunch naughty but nice.:p
3. Pasta bake currently cooking away
4. Snuggles from the animals0 -
Thank you for all the good wishes. DS has offered to eat an extra bowl of cereal later, so here's hoping.
1) Traffic was light this morning, saving time rather than money, although I suppose there might be a minute saving in petrol.
2) Put a jumper and a scarf on for work, my usual uniform for most of the year, and was glad of the extra warmth.
3) A little squirt of nice perfume has been a real pleasure at odd times during the day. There really is no point saving it for best.
4) Wearing DD's earrings. She gave me all her 'real' jewellery back in favour of plastic so I'm now wearing a pair of silver and sapphire drop earrings.
5) Risotto for tea, made with the chicken stock from Monday, and our runner beans. These have been a real success this year, as they are sweet and stringless - White Lady, if anyone is interested. Then we had wrinkly fruit casserole and yoghurt.0 -
Evening all.
1. DD went to school without tears - although she still ain't happy but an 8.00 call for additional drama meant that she didn't have time this morning to fret.
2.OH is home :j
3. Got most of my work done and have been briefed (or debriefed, oo err!) about what I need to discuss on my trip to Korea.
4. Covered DS history book with Sticky backed plastic and he said "hmm, you have made a surprisingly good job of that". Cheeky g!t
5. Fun on another thread translating things into Korean.
I go tomorrow! Am very scared

Havn't really done much today but never the less mine are;
1. HM chili cheese dogs for dinner - one of our favourites! Clean plates from the tribe which is always a good sign.
2. Started planning for next week, Meal plans and what not.
3. Finished organising the kitchen - its the small things that make the OS life that little easier.
4. Popped into MrM on the way home and picked up some YS mince, lamb steaks, salmon fillets and then some random bits and pieces mainly veg, and it only cost me just over a fiver!
5. Enjoyed a nice wander around town today which was nice, tried not to spend any money ... but that didnt work ... oh well, not everyday can be a NSD.
Massive hugs to all that need them.
Love to all
TFE

Another pleasure. Bigger son liked his blackberry and apple crumble. Smaller son was not so sure. I said he could leave it if he wanted and he said....
"If I actually liked it, it would be extremely nice".
:-)

Morning
Chicken - Good luck at the doctors
CCP - Enjoy your holiday
VJsmum - Have a great time in Korea
Pleasures for yesterday,
1. DD's replacement Oyster Card arrived so back onto cheap fares for her, plus they had transfered the balance off the old one. Hopefully she can go longer than a week with out losing this one.
2. On line survey filled in so some luncheon vouchers due next week :money:
3. Left over sausage and pasta for lunch, collegue sat opposite me for the day was not happy as he said it smelt lovely and he just had a cheese sandwich.:D
4. Cottage pie for dinner, was yummy and real comfort food. While oven was on cooked a few sausage rolls from the freezer for packed lunches and made a lemon cake which made DD happy.
5. Dad sounded a bit brighter on the phone today so hopefully his pain levels have become manageable again. Unfortunetly he is in constant pain but manages to cope with it most days but every now and again just gets a bit much for him:(
Hugs to all who need them and safe travels to CCP and VJsmum0 -
VJsmum bon voyage
Skint Yum winter puds, and treacle sponge my favourite. We were very, very fortunate, passed that spot 2 hours earlier. God bless all involved, families, rescue services etc
CCP have a good break
Patchwork well done on the bean harvest, will look for White Lady for next year as this year I've had nothing longer than a bean stringer!
1. Sorting out the freezer prior to running it down, I found some YS frying steak so had it for dinner yesterday braised with red onions, celery, peppers and carrots, all also from the freezer, and a stock cube. Was sooo good, and there's enough left for today
2. Made enough room in the freezer for 8 portions of spicy fruity porridge. It's more economical to make one big pot, and as I don't buy bread it's good alternative to use up the space. So much for running it down as in #1!
3. Recently got some breakfast biscuits to trial, they taste of cardboard so have crumbled them, mixed with rf spread and used as a base for rf quiche using salmon offcuts and courgettes, decorated with strips of red and orange peppers. Portioned and frozen...freezer now even more full than yesterday!
4. Interesting letter from a utility company, their fuel prices seem much better than I'm currently paying so will look into it today. Seems a bit too god to be true but IF I'm right I could save myself about 25% on what I'm paying now
5. Local college now has it's own discount card with occasional offers on hairdressing and the beauty salon - as if they aren't good value already - and even have their own valeting service with every 10th valet free. Definitely worth signing up to
Lovely sunny morning so will spend some time outside (for a change?!) before going to gym later. Have a sunny day whatever the weather0
