Skint - I really want a treacle sponge now! Have all the components except treacle. :-(

Kittikins - I read your number 5 as "I bought David Bowie sash" !

Here are my 5 or so for today.

    1) Not a bad sleep and The Secret Show is back on radio 4 so I lay and listened to that on iplayer.

    2) Sons off to school happily.

    3) Took my mum (leg still in plaster) to the hairdressers.

    4) Popped in the charity shop while she was in there and got a lambswool wool jumper for about £3 (can't be bothered to leave the sofa to check!) and a White Stuff top for £1.25!

    5) Took mum on into Ludlow where she bought me lunch. Went to the nice bakers (by the market square for those who know it) and got 2 gingerbread men for sons and an Eccles cake for me.

    6) Brother came up and did the last bits of work to my new kitchen sink.

    7) Sister came round with a duvet, pillow and covers, all as new. She has got rid of the single bed in her little bedroom so there is space for her boyfriend to put some of his stuff. (He has moved in - hoorah!)

    8) Sons disappeared to play next door (they're still there) so I painted the front of the house! Well, as high as I can reach. Brother coming tomorrow with a ladder to help me finish off. I didn't like the colour at first but it is much better now it has dried. It is like a pale denim blue now. The previous colour was more cornflower. (Just the front, the other 2 sides of the house are brick. The fourth side is stuck to next door's house!)

    9) Made some very tasty meat sauce the other day so defrosted some and there is a lovely lasagna in the oven.

Very good news 10) Smaller son came out of school today looking very forlorn and said I had to speak to Mrs. T. :-( So I went up to her and she said he had been better again! Still pushing boundaries (as ever) but fine. Then he took me in his classroom and he was on silver on the behaviour chart. :-)

    11) Did a bit more gardening today and put some chinese lanterns in.

Hugs to all who need them.

Thanks for the Hugs and thanks to Pappers. Went for part 1 Yestday, and they got me in for part deux this morning, so quick up overnights at FILs, meat swap, faggots for sausages and Jenny, well she was drugged up, kicked about, photographed, twice! Radiated and glowing. Results soon. Got the ENT and CT in aswell the next fortnight and Ms Sonny, she does panic. So does everyone else, so passed on some good thoughts to others there about and special thanks to the Nurses at Pappers for fitting me in for the second visit so quick. (ML we need an uggs button) :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls

5 Just done first round of Odlings bangers, Mustard Mash, chucky carrots and onion gravy. Fantasimedo. Ms Sonny so happy with taht she has nipped out and returned with a selection of wobbleades.

4 Cor blinkings, just need a rest now.

    3 Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

2 One ways home, popped into some new houses, Not on your Nellies would we move to rabbit hutches. All these places, you are given a car space. Bull. Not moving Not now, not ever. So there.

1 Good to see FIL, Joe. Old boy does so well, and a shame we had to suggle off at early doors becuase, well had chance to get back in.

Out yesterday so could not comment.

    96. If a copper is corrupt, then he should serve 5 years on the Isle of Harris. If a senoir officer did this, where does the trust in the filth begin? Bradford Fire, there with two paramedics from RAF. Told politely by PC Sod. Get back in the F pen! Yes mistakes were made, but to falsify evidence, that is above reporoach.

  • It seems the source of our too much electric maybe our 30 year old fridge/freezer hmmm.

I had written loads and the laptop blue screened. Hmm so without the gossip, here’s 5.

    1. Enjoyed being busy at work
    2. HM lunch by the river:)
    3. Popped out to Mr A. Bargins galore, £10 worth of steaks for £2, some 10p breads for freezing, and those ready made curries a couple of them chucked in the freezer for 20p.:D
    4. Steak and chips for dinner, though mine had to be marinaded I don’t like beef to taste like beef.:p
    5. Sitting here wrapped up in a fluffy throw, wishing I could have time to be poorly, one week to go before the body can cave to poorliness just trying to tell it that!
  • Dundeedoll You have no idea how long it took me to work out what puddy tats were! :rotfl:

1: Cheap teas this week - left over mash from the freezer with a fray bentos pie dontated from mums cupboard and some leeks - which excess went to the freezer (im assuming you can freeze leeks!?) ...and carrots for that matter - I have too many to use up before they go off!

2: No spend days for 4 days so far this week. :T

3:Kiwi fruit for pudding tonight, again donated by mum as she was going on holiday.

    4:Spending evening on here :o

    Vala x

    Well done to Frith's son

Hope the old ticker keeps ticking just fine, Sonny

Mine for a strange yesterday, where I lost 8 hours of it

    1. DD went off to school with trembling lip but no tears. She facebooked later that she had had a much better day.
    2. A reasonable trip to airport - no delays so was there v early
    3. Which meant I could take advantage of the Business class lounge (remember I didn't pay for my ticket!)
    4. Yummy lunch on short hop to Frankfurt - seafood linguine with a glass of white wine.
    5. Managed to get a little sleep on the Flight to Seoul - businesss class is fun but not worth the money, IMO. Watched "The Cider House Rules" - which was my kind of film, very cinematic.

At hotel and off exploring in a sec! Have a good day all.
I wanna be in the room where it happens
  • Frith .... great to see such a lot of lovely pleasures and what a difference a change of teacher can make... so pleased for you, hope she can keep the momentum going x

PS do you hire your brother out he sounds v handy ;)

    for yesterday

    1. busy morning but got loads done, health form collected and completed from Doc so can arrange DS travel jabs, ordered his college uniform and this will be covered by bursary (hes on uniformed public services course)

    2. House work done, hoovering, washed kitchen floor, washing on line etc so looking reasonably tidy

    3. made some microwave banana flapjack and only tested a small piece ;)

    4. Spoke to neighbour re roof and after all the worry it went ok.

a/ The render is falling off the 2 chimney stacks and the roofer said they have about had it and need rebuilding (which he cant do as he doesnt do bricklaying) but neighbour has house up for sale (her husband passed away and she needs to move for financial reasons) and doesnt want to spend much money. So the outcome is that the Roofer is going to patch the render to stop any more falling off over the winter and the cost will be £60 which I thought was fairly reasonable.

b/ The boiler pressure escape pipe. Have a bit of a confession here :o .... neighbour couldnt remember a pipe and she couldnt see one, so she got her B-in-L round and he got up on the roof. It turns out that the pipe is still there but much further up the back of the roof line and they have painted it green against the green render so v hard to spot. But what a relief !!

    5. Made some carrot and apple muffins .... nom nom :p
