Morning
VJsmum - Glad DD is settling in better at new college, from what you have said about her she sounds like a lovely capable girl and am sure she will get on great where ever she is.
Kittikins - We were also at the paralympics yesterday, what an amazing experience.
Pleasures for the last couple of days, which have been a bit busy
1. Lovely weather for our night in Bournemouth, nice walk along the pier and fish and chips.
2. Fantastic concert, Noel Gallagher. Tickets were bought for OH's birthday back in Feb. I wasn't sure how good he would be but got to say very impressed. Though think I am getting to old to be in the standing area. Why do people feel the need to throw drinks around  .
3. DD staying home overnight on her own for the first time with no problems. I think I found it harder than she did:o
4. Cheap but yummy breakfast in a pub in Bournemouth
5. Amazing Olympic Stadium, has the real wow factor
6. Watching the amazing athletes compete totally awe inspiring. Felt so lucky to be able to go and see this amazing event.
7. The amazing atmosphere at the paralympics from the crowd and volunteers, can you tell I really enjoyed myself last night
Hugs to all who need them0 -

Thank you - she is, but is also very dramaticShe has gone to the theatre today, which is her first love. I just wish she hadn't worn her "I
Nick Jonas" sweatshirt. Not cool in a 16 year old and singles her out for target practice.
And, wow!! I lurrrrrrvvvee Noel Gallagher. He is in Nottingham on Monday. I may still go....
Back later with pleasures - I have an under 14's football match to get through first :eek:I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
1. Sunshine
2. Yummy lunch with work team and paid for as well
3. New team member (who lunch was in aid of) is very nice
4. Great meeting with boss, he put my mind at rest and took a lot of pressure off me.
5. DD's first day back at school - and I didn't sniffle! She had a great day and loves everything (as always thank goodness!)
6. OH coming over right now
7. He's treating us to dinner, nomnomnom
8. Washing all done and dried on the line
9. Sold an expensive DVD and posted it off today, hoorah!
10. Good chat with mum on phone
11. Think I can now work out my leaving date from work and start putting the next stage of my life together.0 -
5 quick pleasures as I've got to go and have a NERF gun fight.
1) Half decent sleep.
2) Both boys happy at school. Smaller son has done 3 whole days!
3) Went to see a new psych lady at the local hospital. Feel like I've been run over now but she was good. (Always prefer it when they are quick on the uptake and you don't have to spell everything out to them).
4) Lovely, sunny weather.
5) Texts from OH who has finished training Italians now and is looking round Parma. Back in the UK tomorrow.
6) Boys been round at MrN's for hours again. Bit odd but gave me chance to do another load of washing etc.
7) Baked potatoes for tea. Haven't had them for ages and they were very nice. With tuna, mayo and cheese.0 -
Hugs mishmogs
Vj had to look up nick jonas and none the wiser. Do know who noel gallagher is
1) had good chat with chap i now line manage. We have his annual review tomorrow over lunch
2) made it to the final in the poetry comp i entered. Very exciting but daunting. Have to read it out in the Bonar Hall  it's funny cos someone suggested on saturday i add reading one of my poems in public to my lst, and now it's there for end of october, week after the tattoo
3) met friend on main campus who i havent seen for yonks. Must spend more time on main campus
4) met another friend to walk home with (and it didnt rain!)
5) lots of scrummy sausage stew left over from last night. Gonna cook me some rice, heat up some stew, pour a glass of wobbleade and chill. Sposed to have the house to myself tonight but DS was missing his computer and has come home for a quick catch-up. He's done all the important bits like matriculating, choosing courses and meeting his flatties. At only 17 the union holds little alure and he's too young to get into fatties (the local club)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Evening all.
mishmogs - get well now!
Skint - best of luck with the application - you'll get one soon and get out of there.
Kittikins / Tealady- sounds like you both had a fantastic time at the Paralympics. I'm not jealous one little bit, honest...
1) Another lovely day, so it didn't matter that the office car park was closed and I had to park some distance away - in fact it was rather nice mooching to the office in the sunshine.
2) Finished the preparations for the bi-annual event I run at work - it's great fun but incredibly tiring.
3) Popped into the big supermarket tonight - one I don't usually use - and picked up some great YS bargains. :money: Then tomorrow I can go back and have a discussion with them as I was charged full price for some items that should have been on a multibuy offer.
4) Lovely photos of my DPs' new cats: even the shy one has started to settle in and has come out of hiding. :j
5) More Paralympics to watch tonight, even if it's not quite as good as seeing it in person.
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -

Havent seen her for a while so was nice to catch up and she has agreed to give me a personal reference for my job application (am so out of touch with todays job market/applications - she is an ex-copper so hopefully classed as an upstanding citizen ? )0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
