Yippee Frith, so pleased about DS2's triumphant return to school.
TLAMS, hugs to Jenny for being such a 'good girl', pleased she behaved well for the cardiologist
Well, typed and lost a post yesterday but in a nutshell.....
1. DD and I had the most amazing time at the paralympics today, lovely people, wonderful sport, the atmosphere was electric, we were in 7th heaven
2. Sunshine yesterday and today
3. Lots of moneysaving using our family railcard to get to and around London
4. DD was congratulated for her good teeth cleaning by the dentist yesterday and I overcame my fear to actually book myself an appointment.....
5. Better texts/chats with OH, hopefully seeing him tomorrow night.
6. Friend who we stayed with last night was having a major clearout of clothes and happily let me sift through and have a big carrier bag's worthThe clothes are in amazing condition, and some have price tags on or she said "oh I wore that once, to X event".....!! Shame I had to leave them there as I didn't want to lug them around the stadium but gives us an excuse to go back up to see her again soon
7. DD excited about starting Year 3 tomorrow
8. Great chats with friends we bumped into at the park yesterday when we popped up for a picnic in the sunshine. I love living here, so many nice people, will miss it if I get onto the course for a year, but it will be worth it I know0 -
Chicken - don't mention MrN. I said one sentence, he said one very long rambly sentence (all about the locations of his son 5 and my 2). Then I walked away and got really rather upset....0

1) Took some pens, pencils etc from decluttering Mum's house to work and feel very satisfied that they can be used.
2) Cold risotto for lunch and a wrinkly peach which was actually rather nice.
3) DH is ill and DS is not yet at college so they had a day watching the Paralympics and silly clips on Y0uTub3.
4) Still eating our potatoes (the ones without blight) and beans from the garden. Spotted a couple of nice cabbages down there as well.
5) Wore my charity shop jacket to work today. What I like about it, apart from getting a top brand for £5, is that it has a gold silky lining with a pleat in the back which means I may not split this one.0 -
The sunshine seems to have brought out the best in everyone (except MrN).
Dundee - love Prague, cheap beer
Kittikins - jealous of the Olympics, and the clothes bag!!
Todays
1. Caught up with Parade's end on Iplayer - loves me a bit of Bendydick (Mr Cumberbatch isn't bad either :rotfl:)
2. LO curry for tea
3. Sent the first half of my teaching material to Mr Korea who has approved it :T He also gave me detail of someone else who has been teaching out there and the material he uses. Let's just say my confidence has improved 10 fold
4. DD had a better day at school and tonight's crisis was minor compared to last night's.
5. I find myself rather light on teaching this semester so colleagues have been putting together a programme which helps them out. I thought I would get all the [STRIKE]shi[/STRIKE] er rubbish but actually it looks quite interesting and very stress free.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Not long back from Henley and very weary, don't usually go on a weekday but needed to help DM with some papers, banking etc
1. Although the journey took double the Sunday time the weather was good and there were only one or two pr@ttish drivers
2. Managed to do what had to be sorted out in double quick time
3. Took DM to a pub where I could park almost at the door so she only had to walk a few steps. Had a reasonably priced lunch, makes a change from their Sunday prices!
4. DNeighbour's DD has let the mutt and mogs out, walked the mutt and fed them all for me. She certainly earns her pocket money
5. Was on the road at 7am, so now heading for bed and lovely zzzzzzzzz
Sleep tight - I know I will!0 -
