    Not always!

Dear Dear, codes, cannot understand, hidden messages, hook line and sinker. Stll I am not going to charge now.

Sparrars. Is that a trip to the beach in Scarbug and York? Ms Sopnny ad her Honnymoon there and enjoyed it, especially Mr Mushrooms, who was displesaed when the Breakfast ran out of Mushrooms on Monday. We as never forgotten.

5 Go a hole load of dumping to do, bigb pile in corner of yard. Will wait until hols are over before squeezing into dump.

4 Seems Friths surrouned by muted noises, cats and Bisons? Kids are brill when they come out with comments. Had beaver a yaer back that was as big as a bucket! Coming the water event, you only have to guess what happened!

3 Ordered tyres for the Sonny Truck, £320 and get them fitted Tuesday nbext week. they are winter ones as well, so should keeps Ms Sonny from skidding.

2 Just making Pasta Nasta for tea. Bit like spag boll, but with chillis as well. Will do it on toast tonight, with green leaf salad.

1 The castle on the shore, so lovingly built, within hours, the cairn stones we used are lapped again by the tide. The high point, where the lantern was lit, shines from afar, signifying some defiance to the impending wash. Then suddenly, like the rest of the sanded mound, it embers are dampened. Gone.

(The above is only mes rantlings)

  • Afternoon guys,

Haven't been around for a while, have been so rediculously busy!! Hope everyone is enjoying the warm albeit sticky weather we are having!

    So mine for today are

    1. No work!!! - A very rare and welcomed two days off!!
    2. Using the time off to get organised again - updating my "stock" list of the freezer and cupboard and then going to carry on meal planning.
    3. Having a much needed catch up with my Gran - Dont speak to her as much now because of work and what not, so that was a very pleasant hour this morning.
    4. Realising that its only 1 more day before OH is back, have missed him so much - soppy I know ... but true all the same. :smileyhea
    5. Actually waking up in a good mood for a change and knowing that things are not as bad as they seemed earlier in the week.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day - massive hugs to anyone that needs them.

    TFE

    xxx
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life......until I go and buy something!

    1. Waterboard called about my leaky pipe earlier in the year and turns out I had misread the meter so hadn't lost a swimming pool's worth of water, phew! A mere £24 worth grrrrrr.......but they've applied a £100 credit to my account as I fixed the problem and I was apparently already in credit, so effectively my water bill is nothing :)

    2. Sunshine :)

    3. Plumber came and fixed sporadic problem with shower - for free :)

    4. Good day at work, am astounding people with how chilled out I am about my impending redundancy, not sure why, but glad I'm handling it better than I thought I would.

    5. A friend has offered DD and I a bed for the night in London the night before we go to the Paralympics, hoorah :)

    6. Received my £20 Amaz*n voucher for being a lurve film subscriber and have spent half of it already on presents for that event at the end of the year for my daddikins and DD.

    7. Looking forward to going over to see some chums tonight and maybe having a glass or two of vino, not sure yet.....

    8. Just off to buy up hopefully the last of the coloured paints I will need for my house on the Doolux offer at BnQ.

    Mine for today so far.

    1) A lie in after OH left.

    2) Bigger son had another hair cut. For the first time in many years, he has shorted hair than I do!

    3) Chips by the river for lunch.

    4) OH on his way over.

    5) Smaller son cleaned the stairs and I cleaned the kitchen floor.

    6) Brocolli cheese for tea and a loaf in the breadmaker so we'll eat that later.

Thanks. :) I think it's just the heat as he's much perkier when it's cooler - I just wish he'd eat more. (And that's not a phrase I ever thought I'd use!)

    1) NSD.

    2) Spent part of my lunch break taking part in a complicated but interesting piece of psychological research (you get involved in some very strange things when you work at a university ), for which I was paid £5. :money:

    3) Ate the first of this year's HG tomatoes with my lunch - sadly, unless we have a very long, hot autumn, it will probably be one of the last, too. :(

    4) One of my HG alpine strawberries is only a day or so off ready to eat. :j Of course, one alpine strawberry won't go far, but I didn't actually expect to get any this year as the seeds only went in in May. :)

    5) Revising my planned dinner from chicken and cider stew to roast chicken and veg wraps, which are more suited to the weather - and it means I've got a bottle of cider (bought on SO :money:) to drink another day.

    Have a nice evening, all.
Back after a very long break!
  • After being rudely awoken by council contractors early this morning I had quite a productive day

    1. Shopping came in under budget and cupboards are now full of food
    2. Council contractors had gone when I got back from @ldi (leaving a huge hole in road which I hope they are coming back to finish tomorrow !!) which meant I could park outside and no need to carry shopping far
    3. Two loads of holiday washing done and dried on line
    4. Lawn mowed and now less of a jungle out there
    5. Chat with DF on phone and got him a better quote online for his car insurance
    0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).

    Good evening all!

PK - ((hugs)) to you - you have had a lot on your plate lately , I don't mean the rtc stuff !

Dundee - still an outstanding Roadkill amount , my Mum and I do this too and each dirty coin has its own little story. Still we round it up and send it to a horse charity , which doesn't make me feel so skanky about picking it up.

VJsmum- thanks x it sounds like you are having fun ...and food

CCP - I hope that your mog is better ??

    5 for today

    1. Lovely day here , cooler.

    2. Had Miss Barker the dog today as Mum went to the zoo with my sister and great nephew . I asked her why she felt this necessary as my garden is like a farmyard :D

    3. Made a curry from scratch (p40 the takeaway secret )added cream and a stock cube and some char grilled chicken .Made some hm onion Bhajis which were ok but not that great . I will use gram flour instead next time. That just about finished my back off for the day with the old shaky leg syndrome !!

4.Frankel the wonder colt  Mcculloch thought of you -isn't AR a Danehill colt too??? They called him Ussain Colt on the tv:rotfl:I think he is the most amazing horse I have EVER seen .Sir Henry Cecil looked very very poorly though :(Two legends long may they reign .

    5. Tony Nicklinson RIP .

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

He's OK, thanks, although his continued lack of appetite is bothering me - he wasn't even interested in the chicken I had for dinner. :( It might be off to the dreaded v-e-t if he's no better after the weekend. :undecided
Back after a very long break!
