It's great reading throu everyones pleasures:j
I have a funny intuition that I will be losing my job on Friday, obviously I hope it’s paranoia but something just isn’t sitting right.. anyways that is not a pleasure, moving on..
Pleasures
1.Coming home to DH:)
2.Cooking and reading a good book.
3. We popped out late to Mr T as we had to get something for les animaux and picked up sandwiches for the rest of the week at 18p each, and err a chocolate cake thing with caramel and added calories for 30p ops, as I was wading through my wallet we found a voucher for £10 so we treated ourselves to some rum to take away in the van. With the voucher a 1 litre bottle came to £2 it was a lovely shop.:D
4. Continuing packing for the break away.
5. Planning to find an M&S at lunch tomorrow to have a look at their sale, I tried to buy what I wanted online and it sold out in my size literally immediately online. Ppffft.:rotfl:0 -
Welcome back Skint, sounds like a super holiday
. I'll be in Scarborough on Sunday and York on Monday, you make it sound really nice so I'm looking forward to it even more now
Chicken not Yin Yang but the symbol of my fellowship and the date I joined
DD so pleased you said that, I try and try to make head nor tail of his posts and thought my not getting it was an age thing, or I was just losing it. You've put my mind at rest :rotfl:
Frith hope you and the boys are having an amazing night, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as you did last time
1. Up at 6.30am, too hot to sleep longer. Living on my own I never have the bedroom windows open but last night I did - it would have scared a burglar away though, I was lying on top of the bed in the nuddy (not a pretty sight, sorry tmi!)
2. First wash load on the line at 8am, small bedroom made ready for 15 y/o who is staying over night tomorrow. Sorted a sack of bits for the cs (then forgot to take it so will have to do so tomorrow)
3. Gym - managed to do more than programmed, it's lovely in there with the air con
4. Called in to Mr M for bits for tomorrow/Weds and built meals around only rtc items. Total spend £4.84p, total saving £6.08p
5. Gave neighbour a bunch of yellow flowers to thank her for doing my nails yesterday. They were on special offer from £2.50 to £1.25, included in above bill
Night night, sleep tight0 -
A collection...
1. House is still halfway reasonably tidy, as son has been at GF's.
2. Son loved his b'day presents, which he took with him to GF's.
3. Coffee and catch up with someone I've not seen for a long time as neither of us run a car.
4. Four free giant triple choc cookies. To be eaten same day. Got eaten...
5. When putting together son's birthday stocking I came across Aniseed Nipits, never seen this variety. Son likes the menthol ones. Can report that the aniseed ones are good too. If you like Nipits.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
hi all. lovin the sound of iced coffee. but i wish we were having the weather for it
so yesterdays
did nothing in the morning. but i wish i could get rid of that "should be doing something feeling"
took steam train to town. felt i should have been walking down to station with a wicker basket or driving some geese or something
chat with station master made me laugh. i now know more about his weekly roster than anyone has a need to:rotfl:
lunch with OH wasnt exactly quality time as there were loads of people there
got some work done using station wifi
drinks with friends in the evening followed by friend and i having an exhilerating bike ride home in the pitch black down country lane. she had a front light and i had a back one!! fantastic!!
bit more doing nothing today i hope - once i've delivered DS and FN (fave niece) to their activities. have a good day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

I promise to always not sensical of mes words! It is only the 1 that has something, the rest is just pure and utter codswallop.
5 Nearly lost my pride this morning on the treader. Jumped down gears on Toucan, missed, wallop and hurdled towards the cross bar, that bit yous gals do not have on your bikes, and sliced. Oooch.
4 Got to book the Doctors for the tablet change, he has been on his hols last week.
3 Listening to the radio at present, just got a little digital one and it has an 80's station on it, never thought that music was sooooooo good.
2 It is the next one that has not, the above is ramblings, the underneath is pure genius. (Expectant that more will be hurled in this direction) Normally it is just a quote, sometimes it is an explanation after two or three days. I use iot to make us happy.
1 The tide is still out, like a break between the waves. We sit expectant on the shore, nowing it is coming back, but when. Sit patinetly, the rush will come soon.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

Sparrer - that made me laugh about the burglar :rotfl:A friend of mine who was shall we say a mature lady owned a riding school and when she thought she didn't have any riding lessons booked she used to rake over the indoor school in the buff except for wellies . She said that a boy turned up unannounced on his pony for a lesson whilst she was doing the above ... poor kid :rotfl:

Mine for today so far (Tuesday already!)
1) Bit of a lie in. Next door's cat and kittens moved in here a couple of months ago and she texted me last night to say cat is going to be neutered today. She has my spare key so I said we would be having a lie in after the survival course last night. So I woke up at about 8am for a minute or 2 to hear neighbour running round my living room, catching the cat! I didn't wake up long enough to actually get up. :-D
2) House tidyish, bed changed etc.
3) Went to the park in our nearest town and the boys took their scooters. Made a picnic and we were there quite some time. I always forget what a massive park it is - bandstand, monuments, bowling green, tennis court, skateboard park, big play area, paddling pool and lots of really ancient trees.
4) Went to Game and swapped one of smaller son's birthday presents so he could get another Wii game.
5) Called in at mum and dad's. Mum's foot feeling slightly better. Couldn't go for a walk because both dad and his neighbour had agreed to take the honey off their beehives this afternoon! Lots of very angry bees about.
6) Going to make a "chinese takeaway" for tea. Just chicken left over from Sunday's roast cooked in plum sauce with special fried rice (rice with peppers, peas and sweetcorn and whatever else I can find) plus prawn crackers.
7) OH coming round later. :-)0 -
1. NSD, woohoo!
2. Had some people round to give me quotes for bits of the house renovation project....less than I was dreading, but still more than the £0 I currently have
3. Nice emails with a chum
4. Went out to try and pop in to various friends in the village to ask advice on bits and pieces but no one was in, darn them, hey at least I got some fresh air!
5. Nearly a £4 discount on the price of the heating oil to come back to me, woohoo!!
6. Going to watch a DVD tonight courtesy of my L*vefilm subscription - I can't wait for the Amaz*n voucher to come through that I signed up to LF to get....then I can cancel it and save £5 a month! But in the meantime, I shall enjoy my DVDs and to heck with the expense!!
7. Lovely chats with DD
