    Evening Everyone

    Big hugs Purple Kitten.

Mine for today (well technically yesterday!)

1 - A work friend receiving some very good news.

2 - Was on a split shift today but it actually went quite quick, especially the second part.

3 - Picked up another shirt top (obsessed I think) in my local CS for £1.50.

4 - Made myself tacos. They weren't spicy enough but still nice. I've hardly been cooking anything lately so pleased with this.

    5 - Got asked out.

    :rotfl::rotfl: Aww Bless him !

    Some pleasures for yesterday:

    1. Lovely lie in
    2. CBA day spent lounging around on the sofa catching up on shows recorded over last 2 weeks
    3. Also reading the paperback I bought in CS on my hols
    4. Spent last of holiday money on a Chinese and it was yum
    5. Sciatica has settled (fingers crossed) now I am not getting on the floor ;) hoping it will not re-occur any time soon

Have been woken early today by the council to move my car and they are currently outside digging up the road, so no lie in for me. (whole house is currently shaking )
This is probably a good thing as no food in house so I need to go shopping and need to get holiday washing done today, so no excuses for sitting around on my a*se today :p

    Have a good day x

Hello, I have been reading your posts last few days in tiny print on my phone but I've been far too tired of an evening to switch on my laptop!

    1. Parrots
    2.Magnolia Trees in bloom.
3.Daffodils in gardens make me smile.
4.Cherry & almond blossom on trees is very pretty.
    5.Stayed dry today!
    6. Lovely sunrise, the colour of the sun on eucalyptus trees is stunning!

    Unpleasures:
work is far too busy and understaffed! I walked out of a very sinking ship this afternoon at my leaving time as I had an appointment , made 2 weeks ago! Manager needs to recruit more staff instead of stretching us all to the limit!

Had to pay a final gas bill, electricity was 0. Thought I'd been paying enough monthly but obviously not! This has been to heat an empty house! However, that's it done! We have had to pay out for a joiner, a cleaner and now an electrician on this blooming house we are renting out, we don't think we will see the first months rent!

Apart from that, all is well, have been very tired and in bed very early !
    Have a good one :)

ooooooh sparrer you're a brave one! Enjoy :)

    Morning

Sparrer - Have a fab time today, also another one that thinks you will love York and Scarborough.

Pleasures for the last couple of days,
    1. DD is home and she managed to cross London on her own for the first time. She knew she would be fine it was just me who was panicking.:o
    2. Good girl that DD is she unpacked her suitcase straight into the washing machine and has all her clothes washed and on the line to dry. Even if it clean everything needs a wash as DF is a smoker and the smell lingers in a non smoking household.
    3. Free lunch at work for 2 days running
    4. More Luncheon vouchers expected in the post any day now for doing another survey. I am building up quite a stash.
    5. New to me freezer from OH's nan's house now in my kitchen ready to be filled. Means I will actually empty my other freezer to defrost which I have been trying to do for over a year but keep filling back up.
    6. Friend announced she is going to have a baby in Feb, very excited for her. Another friend who has been struggling to conceive is also pregnant but we are not allowed to talk about it yet as she is still worried something may go wrong so we are all praying that she is fine.
    7. Caught up with another friend who should have the books DD needs for college and she can have them for free :money:Will buy her a bottle of wine to say thank you. She also offered DD any help she needs when she starts the course as she has already done it.
    8. Reluctantly joined facebook (more to keep an eye on DD) but the one positive thing is I had got back in touch with a friend that moved to Australia. She is now divorced and re-married and sounds so happy in her new life which is great as I know how hard a time she was having before.

Hugs to all who need them

Come on TILAMS - i love your posts

Have a good day today, Sparrer.
Mhags - sorry about your work, but love to hear about Spring - still waiting for ours!:D
Tealady - good on your DD, I think they are all more capable than we give them credit for. My DS cycled in to his voluntary work today (preserved steam railway) and is here and is perfectly fine.
Chicken - hope you get better soon.
Frith - love the Bisons. When I was at school a very fed up friend said he was "past the staring cage" which remains a saying to this day. Instead of Horse racing, my mother would say Race horsing, which sounds strangely correct.

    Yesterdays pleasures

    1. Was supposed to be doing some work yesterday morning but got a better offer of a walk in the hills. Hence I am here doing it today, but it is rather peaceful at this little station and there isn't much I have to do. Walk was fab and good to catch up with friends. There are several groups of friends and rellys here so gradually we are all catching up with each other.
    2. Got soaked, but then the sun came out so all's well that ends well!
    3. Cycled into town with kids, when they had finished volunteering, for Honey ice cream (we can only get it here - a clue to where i am;) so have to make the most. Passion fruit and honey duet topped with dried blueberries. Bliss in a cone!) and a trip to the amusement arcade.
    4. Chish and fips for tea. I'm not very keen on chips, I mostly like a few OP's (other peoples) but the fish was wonderful
    5. FN went on a social event with young volunteers. Pleased for her as her life isn't the easiest and she reminds me of me when I was her age.
    6. Yet another evening catching up with friends and rellys and near rellys (SIL's sister and her family. SIL's sister is my OH's ex girlfriend! COnfused? You will be :rotfl:)

Off for a walk along the beach (with another friend!) to the next, rather pretty, town and lunch in fave coffee shop. What's that? My holiday is all about eating and talking??? Precisely :p
I wanna be in the room where it happens
