    Aw thanks Chuck.

    1. HM lunch was lovely sitting overlooking the thames and reading
    2. Spag bol for dinner
    3. Deep cleaned the upstairs, making sure the place is clean but working on the tidy.
    4. 10p apple pie with custard and a big tea
    5. A job wants to see me when I am back from the break, only a short role, but nice.

Watching S.Scrimpers and its started to annoy me more than anything.

    Hey all!

Skint - It is this guy I kind of know and I'm moving near him next month. He said he really wants us to go out and is excited for me to move. Awwww

    Todays pleasures:

1 - Didn't start work until 12 so was productive and got things done that I had planned for tomorrow.

2 - Busy day at work. Went nice and quick.

3 - Came home to 3 lovely postcards thanks to postcrossing.

4 - Managed to eat a bit more today.

5 - Being able to be there for a friend in need.

Mhags I love your flowery post, and the eucalyptus sounds beautiful :).
Tealady well done your DD, and what a good girl doing her laundry straight away. You obviously have the up to date parenting manual ;)
VJsmum it sounds as though you're having another super holiday, you're really good at this aren't you?!
TILAMS I know the cost of tyres is high but ouch! Feel sorry for you having to pay that much :(
TFE aww, there's nothing soppy about missing your OH and looking forward to him coming back. Have a wonderful reunion :)
Kittikins congratulations on your [STRIKE]windfall[/STRIKE] waterfall!
Frith I love the sound of chips by the river, it's the simple things that make life good :)
CCP sending good vibes to your mog. The tomato and strawberry will no doubt taste all the better for being the only ones :D
Chicken the curry sounds good. I have the book but not ventured into it yet, the more I hear of peoples successes with it the more I know I have to get round to using it
PK I so agree with you about Super Scrimpers. If only they would listen to us then the people who don't know about MSE (yet) would learn something useful. Perhaps the programme makers don't think the public would believe half the things we do!
giddynicci it sounds like your suitor is going to be a nice peron to go out with. Hope it all works out for you :)

    1. Lovely having DS and his family here, and very gratifying when his OH complemented the tea I made, even though a lot of it was just salady stuff. After they left this afternoon I stripped the bed and washed the bedding/towels in prep for my next visitors, who arrive next Thursday for an overnight stay.
    2. Spent a lot of time playing with my new android, as I'm told it's called, not ipad as I thought. How technical am I?! It has a built in kindle so am looking forward to investigating how to download (free) books to take it on holiday
    3. Lovely neighbour made meringues to which she added some chocolate. She gave me one which was sooooo good! Crispy on the outside and just a little bit sticky in the middle. perfect :)
    4. Thank you for the comments about my forthcoming weekend, I'm not a lover of coach tours but looking forward to being driven for a change. We, DGD2 and I, leave on Friday morning, stay overnight at a Borders hotel, tour Edinburgh on Saturday then go to the Festival (I've bought better seats, at that price they'd better be!), visit Scarborough on Sunday with time to sit on the beach if the weather is good, then York on the way home on Monday. We'll be heading straight for the Minster, naturally.
    5. I did it, 25 miles an hour along 200 meters of zip wire, 30 meters about Wembley Stadium and I only had to go to the little girls room three times beforehand :o. It was the most exhilarating experience, strangely no real nerves except the one moment my feet left the step, then I did my best Usain Bolt imitation on the way down :D. Still can't believe I really did it, I haven't quite come down to earth yet :)

Fair wore out, so going up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire (not far to go thank goodness ;))
    Night night, sleep tight :)

Hello from very wet Melbourne! I came out of work today and thought there wasalovely smell of spring in the air and then it started to pitter patter ,by the time I reached car it was heavy ,by the time I had just got in it was thunder and lightning and absolutely lashing with rain.

    1. Work was marginally better today, although still far too busy. Go home people don't come and see me!

    2. After a night of strange dreams was a relief to get up early and phoned one of my best friends and had a lovely chat before realizing I had better dry hair and get dressed.

3.came home to a lovely card from an old customer from my job back home, she had heard about OH and had taken the time to write to me. How nice.

    4. Had a lovely bath and a read of a good library book.

    5. Had left over macaroni and delicious sundried tomatoes for tea.

    6. Washing machine stopped half way through programme....kids school shirts stuck inside. Found the manual and we followed problem solving options and got it going again.....hopefully a one off.

Had a raised voice session with my children earlier on.....happens every now and again. They don't get shouted at very often but I'm fed up with them creating so much mess and expecting someone else to tidy up after them . They all have chores they are expected to do and I don't feel the need to keep repeating g myself asking for them to be done.....rant over!

    Have a lovely day...almost Friday .

Nice day yesterday - walk along beach, bargain top in Fat Face, nice lunch, nice tea out but only one thing really matters today.

DD did fantastically well in her GCSEs

    3 A* and 6A:T

    Soooooo Proud
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Very well done to Miss VJ'smum! What are her plans now?

That's reminded me I must ask my sister how her pupils did. She teaches history but gets drafted in for RE and citizenship as well. They really get it in the neck if results fall. :-/

Busy day here so far. Here are my pleasures:

    1) Bit of a lie in.

    2) Heard phone ring c. 8am. Ignored it. Finally remembered to listen to message at 10.30 and it was a friend of mine who said she would be coming 11.30! She has never been here before so I had 1 hour to get the house tidy... All OK in the end and she loved all the cats. :-)

    3) House is tidy!

    4) Have ironed all name tapes on smaller son's uniform.

    5) Off to another survival course soon! This one is called "Come Survive with me" and will be the same shelter building and campfire BUT we are given ingredients and have to cook dinner for the people in the next group! Good old district council again - only £2.50 each.

    6) Had a "no" letter from a charity I hoped might put something towards bigger son's bus pass. But it was a lovely letter and they suggested a charity I had never heard of, which is actually the old school before son's high school was built. So have written a letter for them.

    7) OH coming round after we've done the survival course.

Bigger son VERY difficult today so I imagine he will be ignoring/hissing insults at OH. :-( Hopefully he will be better tempered when he's started at high school and has more to occupy him.
