    Evening all.

I'm currently on round three of 'I hate mosquitoes'. Usually I'm not to the taste of most mozzies, but at the moment they seem intent on eating me. :(

    1) One I meant to post yesterday, but forgot - there's a tiny aubergine on my HG plant. :j I didn't get any at all last year, so that's already a 100% improvement!

    2) More computer problems at work , but it was a half day so only half as annoying as usual.

    3) It was the annual department lunch, and more people stayed than usual so we had a very pleasant hour of eating (from the 'office' menu, which is the same as the normal menu but half the price ) and chatting.

    4) Popped into B00ts to ask about returning a faulty item and they gave me my money back on the spot even though I didn't have the receipt with me. :T

    5) A lazy sort of afternoon, to be followed by a lazy sort of evening. :)

    6) I've just been sent £5 worth of supermarket vouchers, tied to my credit card (which I use anyway because I get cashback). That'll do me nicely!

Frith - have another lovely time camping. :)

TILAMS - thanks for the virtual wobbleade. :) I haven't come across Old Spot before - I'll have to keep an eye out for it if I'm ever around Stroud (unlikely, but who knows? ;)).

VJsmum - I really hope your poor OH manages to get something sorted out. :(

sparrer - I'm sure you know already, but make sure you plant your lily above cat-level - the pollen's really poisonous to cats.

mishmogs - many congrats on the interview! :T Hope it all went well for you today.

Have a lovely evening, all, and enjoy the opening ceremony if you're going to be watching - I just hope the flame lights properly and they don't end up asking everyone in the stadium if they've got a light! :rotfl:
Back after a very long break!

    1. Replaced my dying Merrell sandals with new ones, at half price, phew! They are so expensive but basically are the only things that I find comfortable to walk in, so a good investment I guess.....

    2. DD won a prize on the last day of her tennis club, I am a very proud mummy :)

    3. ...even nicer, she shared her prize of some choccy with me ;):)

    4. One of DD's chums came and played at our house, first time she'd been and she was a bit shocked, as her mum is a self-confessed OCD clean freak.........and, errrr, I'm not! Poor little lamb will probably get over it in time, with therapy etc etc ;)

    5. Enjoying watching the opening ceremony right now, but I am rather tired and need to do a ton of things before we leave for London tomorrow morning.....oh well, just a few more countries, they're up to the letter E as I type!!

VJsMum - what a relief for DH.

A very brief 5 OS pleasures:

    1) Huge mountain of ironing completed. Not a pleasure to do it, but a mighty relief at the end!

    2) Credit card bill received and paid!

    3) DH is digging over the garden in preparation for turf in the Autumn.

    4) Yet another load of washing done. It seems never ending.
