Mogs Glad the phone interview went well :j
1.Went to bed late after watching a film that didn’t finish till 1.30ish and even with a loungy start to the day but still and ready to go by 9, my god have I grown out of my long layins.
2.We decided to pop out as we hadn’t done shops for a while now, and even more had disappeared, but I found our fantastic fruit and veg stall still there and got a massive bag of stuff for £4 (15 bananas, a whole big bowl of cherry toms, a bowl of big toms, cucumber, peppers, carrots, marrow.
3.Charity shop finds, we found 2 ultra soft baby fleece blankets for £1 which will be animal bedding, and a thing I can only describe as an igloo shape with a base and door,, with a fleece in thought it may make a fun animal bed. I didn’t find any clothing despite one of my dresses and skirts falling apart beyond repair.:rotfl:
4.Picked up some carefully chosen 99p shop things, ice poles to freeze, some diy bits and sachets of coffee for DH, 6 kitchen rolls.
5.Not MSE but we stopped at a cafe as we were far too hot, and had a grilled chicken salad that was delicious.
6.When we got back and let the animals out to play in the garden and watching them wrap up around a hydrangea flower because it attacked them.:p0 -
Didn't sleep a wink as it was so hot last night, I've been running in zombie mode all day today. Need sleep tonight, I'm completely washed out
1. Gym this morning, and took dog to DD for the weekend. Saw the hard work they've done on their second bedroom which will be a sewing room for DGD2, and a music room for DSiL. Took them all day to get the wood chip off the walls, when I left DSiL was repairing the squeaky floorboards ready for laying an oak floor. He's such a perfectionist, their home is lovely
2. DD gave me a beautiful patio lily as an extra present, it's almost three feet tall and has a mass of blooms yet to come.
3. Stopped at Mr M on the way home for goodies to take tomorrow. Phoned the hotel to confirm the room will have a fridge, they'll put one in before we arrive. We're staying half board but will need lunches and don't want to pay Hilton restaurant prices, so an OS picnic on the balcony of our room sounds good
4. All the washing done, dried and ironed, there's nothing in the laundry basket! Until I get ready for bed, that is...
5. Gardening, of course. Cleared a patch of nettles which has appeared almost overnight, now I have just the place to plant the lily
6. Filled all the necessary reservoirs in the car and did the tyres, now we're ready to face whatever the M1/M6/M42 has in store for us
7. A friend stopped by this afternoon with chocs, which I'll take to DGD2 not being a choc lover myself, a stunning bunch of deep red roses because she says she loves me, and apple custard doughnuts. Very yummy. I love her too, and not just for her doughnuts ha ha
8. Long chat with DSis this evening, she's getting married in a fortnight. Poor girl has a rotten cold but her future husband is being very good making sure all the lists are going smoothly.
8. Have had two amazing days, one of the best birthdays I've ever had
Just got to find the cats, wash the kitchen floor then I'm going to flop into bed. Have a good weekend, stay safe and well. Night night, sweet dreams0 -

A disaster of a day and i'm not sure if or when it might be put right. OH has lost his passport. He too went to olympic rehearsal and thinks it was lost or stolen there.
we are trying every avenue but it doesnt look like he can replace it till next thurs. he was supposed to be here on sat. awful to hear him so upset on the phone.
i shouldnt have pleasurrs after that but after other things going arong - too laborious to type we eventually
1 had a nice beach day in warm pleasnt sun
2 yummy lentil soup for lunch
3 potted potter off broadway. very funny
4 sheet lightning - spectacular

TILAMS - I think I can guess what happened next.
Hope Mrs Sonny manages to get the marks out.
It started years ago, poor girl really does need a bib. I tried not to laugh, but in reality, sometimes you cannot be feel for ...
Here is your virtual wobbleade.
Summer nights, get some chain oil down you. Available in selected watering places in and around Stroud.DundeeDoll wrote: »Post mortem showed congenital heart defectDundeeDoll wrote: »TILAMS our puddy tat now nicely furry
Mmm, seems nice!
5 for the recent times.
5 You will only ever get one chance to go to an event like the Olympics, so you should go. Not in TILAMS lifetime will we ever see something like this again, and if we ever get a World Cup, it will be 2026 at the earliest. Ms Sonny really enjoyed it, even though we got home late. Well done London 2012.
4 Did not see the winners of the Men's Football last night, but certainly will do so at my next event, Wembley 11th August.
3 Phew, where was I!
2 Cornflakes and Cold Milk. Can you beat that?
1 The gladiators soon joined the Lions, and the games began. Now this day, we see archers with a full quiver of arrows, bells have toiled. let the sports day begin.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

Quick update after several days away. Going camping for a week tomorrow!
One annoying thing first - after 37 years, found I am actually NOT too dark to get sunburn... Must have gone browner wearing a particular vest top. Wore another with thinner sleeves so have burned two stripes between the thin sleeves and the existing brown bit!
Anyway, lots of pleasures for the last few days. Was at OH's from Sat - Mon then Tue-Weds, a college friend's from Weds-Thurs then back at OH's from last night to this morning...
1) Lots of OH's good catering.
2) Ikea trip.
3) Double bill of Casualty last weekend.
4) Chinese take away with college friends.
5) A trip to Windsor to do the charity shops! Got some Next plimsolls (for me!), a fleece for sons (they are the same height), the Railway Children to read to them on holiday and a Diskworld tape for them to listen to in the car on the way to holiday tomorrow. Oh, and a vest top for me which I won't be wearing for a while with my red, stripy back.
6) Naughty Nationwide took 2 payments off me from when I went to the supermarket the other day but have quickly put one payment back in my account.
7) Nice letter from County Councillor saying he is still trying to get bigger son a bus pass ready for high school.
8) Nice chat with District Councillor saying he is still lobbying and has spoken to school governors about the lack of bus pass and all is not lost yet.
Strangely, absolutely nothing from the MP and I wrote to him about it ages ago! Wish we were back to our independant chap, he was nice, I used to make him cups of tea in my former life in local government. He helped me with the CSA too, as did the Conservative before him, to be fair.
9) Text from next door neighbour yesterday who has been looking after all the cats (hers live here too which makes 6). She said one of the cats had dragged a pigeon in through my kitchen window and they had all combined forces to basically make as much mess as possible throughout the downstairs of my house. But neighbour has cleaned every trace up and said she mopped the floors with bleach! So no entrails waiting for me.
10) Boys coming home from their father's this evening. :-) :-) :-)
11) Brother coming round 6.30 so he can talk to them while I pack for tomorrow. He is really coming for tea and to watch the opening ceremony of the Games.
12) Speaking of which, saw the Taiwan team in Windsor yesterday. Or some of them. The rowing is near there.
13) Got to pop to Sainsburys now to get the food for the camping. :-)
14) Got to get 2 cakes for smaller son's birthday (9 next Sat!!!). A party while we are camping, then tea and cake for family Sat evening when we get home.
15) Looking forward to camping for a week starting tomorrow with OH and all 4 sons. :-)
Lots to do today!0 -

1. Work was OK wrote an epic complaint on behalf of a client - I sent it to them to read through first to see if they were happy with contents so will find out on Monday.
2. Found some good quality fake tan that I purchased in 2006 . It looks and smells like fox poo when I applied it but everyone at work thought it was real . Smell a bit like an old biscuit though :rotfl:
3. Wore a skirt that OH bought me in 2002 because of the fox poo leg baring day at work.
4.Wore a long tight stripey dress when went out for the evening that OH bought in a charity shop in 2000 for about £3 - everyone like it its a size 8 too !
5.Went out with my second cousin who I "found at work".She is a member of my team . My Mum's maiden name is unusual and I just mentioned it in passing and found out that our grandparents were brother and sister .Lovely company and lovely meal in a country pub -so that's why I go to work .
