2 If I recieve another tweet about a football club in the South of England and how I could save it, I will personally rip your arms off and hit you with the soggy ends so that you can no longer use your communicative device.
1 Should we expunge from the records, the deeds of those who cheated? Those that misled, cheated their own. But their flock, should we punish them as well? Were they joyous in false victory, knowingly of the deciet that had been commited. Who are the innocents in this. The one who picked up the pieces every week, only for the envelope to be empty.
sonny. your no 5 is similar to something voing on over here with Penn state university football team who have been dealt a massive penalty for coveri g up a massive child abuze scandal to maintain a winning record.

Evening all
Get well now to the still poorlies, sounds like the rest of us are having a good time today
Just as an aside re the 11 y/o boy who flew to Rome. In 1955 when I was 8 I took a bus from Alresford to Winchester, another to Portsmouth, the ferry to Cowes, and a train to Newport before I got picked up by the police (I was on my way to Ventnor to my grandmother's house). I appreciate security should be tight at airports but I think he, like I, had some spirit!
1. Luckily the gym is just round the corner from DD's house as I locked myself out of the car again (now 14 times in almost 11 years) and they have a spare key, as do my DNeighbour and two friends!
2. DN invited me in for a cuppa, her DD had made me some fairy cakes decorated with my name and candles, but fortunately not my age! Also gave me a huge bunch of yellow roses and a really pretty bracelet which I'll take with me on my weekend away
3. Lots of funny cards and lovely pressies, mostly garden orintated (they know me so well!). I'm very fortunate to have so many dear friends and such a super family. Being OS I've saved most of the wrapping paper and any re-usable envelopes, the flower trimmings are in the compost bag and the plastic bags are in the cupboard of bin liners
4. Friends came by to finalise details for the weekend travel, turns out I'm driving as my car as the biggest boot - and we all know how much four ladies need to take for a weekend - and they've already very kindly chipped in more than their fair share of the petrol money. Being aware of my dieting efforts they brought a profiterole stack as they said it has a less fattening centre! Don't know about that but between the four of us there wasn't a crumb left
5. Counting my blessings, I've heard of so many people who didn't make it to 60 let alone my age (65). Very, very grateful for the NHS and the amazing help it's given me these past few years. But I did say when I was diagnosed, and will continue to let it know that I didn't ask for it so it has to live with me, not the other way round
6. There was a fly past overhead this afternoon, the Red Arrows with their planes decorated with the Union Jack and one had a big red heart on its undercarriage. How nice of them to arrange a birthday surprise for me0 -

A very very happy birdie Sparrer :bdaycake:
Pleasures for today.
1.A cheats pizza and oven chips is cooking away for tea.
2.DH’s surprise presents arrived today, a couple of books and the solderer’ he’s chuffed it’s been a few years now since we’ve treated each other.
3.My sales shoes arrived, they are nice comfortable and leather, but there is no way I would have paid the normal price of £55.
4.The woodpecker lounging on the birdfeeder until I moved to get the camera of course.
5.Just confirmed arrangements to visit the in-laws Saturday which will be lovely.
6.And a sneaky 6 just watching the cheeky squirrel eating the sandwich was while RTC at pennies was orrible.
I have an unplanned day off tomorrow, may stay up a bit later tonight then and enjoy waking up naturally. I want to go out and get some bits and pieces, but DH is very OS at the moment and doesn’t want to spend.0 -
Happy brthday Sparrer hope you have had a really great day in this glorious weather we are having.
1. Five loads of washing done out on the line and dried. House is a bit like a Chinese launderette this week but hey ho I don't care because it needs to be done and rain is on the way back next week.
2. Grateful to my washing machine for keep plodding on. It is 10 years old now but it keeps going and I am truly grateful for it's service over the years.
3. The hall carpet was all dried this morning and it is fab so clean and bouncy again. The place smells fresh and clean and I am pleased with the results from yesterdays carpet cleaning; it was hard work but the results show.
4. Had dinner on the patio again but have to say I didn't feel too much like eating with this weather.
5. Watered the pots and baskets a short time ago and I too shall take a watering in a bit under the shower as I need itCat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Evening all.
Happy birthday sparrer!
1) Yet more lovely warm sunshine.
2) Wore a new skirt to work and got lots of admiring comments - I was just pleased that, in good MSE style, I got it in a sale at a fraction of the normal price. :money:
3) Thanks to some cheapie fire lighters I finally managed to get the BBQ lit so I didn't have to cook inside in this lovely weather.
4) Delicious BBQ'd dinner of halloumi and veg kebabs followed by plums with low fat creme fraiche.
5) My last two working days this week will be short - I'm taking mog to the vet tomorrow afternoon, then there's a work do on Friday afternoon - then I'm off for a whole week. :j
Have a nice evening, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Happy birthday sparrer :bdaycake:
I've helped a friend sort out her classroom for the next academic year. My school has builders in, so we're not allowed anywhere; doesn't stop me from helping others! We then drove to the local shopping outlet to her school, where she treated me to a drink and muffin to thank me. Bonus!
So, my 5 for the day:
1) Bought some cheap cards from the M&S outlet, along with a gorgeous outfit for a friend's new born baby.
2) Realised that thanks to presents, I have enough shower gel to last until at least October! :j
3) my magazine pile is looking rather largeMust sort it!
4) worked out how much I should save when I move jobs at the end of October. It'll all go on doing things in the house, but at least we'll be able to make it more of a "home".
5) realised that we recycle more of our rubbish than we put in the black bin. We feel virtuous, so time for a beer... :beer:Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0
