5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

Happy birthday Sparrer, even if late I hope you had a lovely fun filled day!

Oldtractor you can have that lunch, easy peasy gazpacho: put a few tomatoes and a jar of water in the freezer. While they cool down, chop an onion, garlic and a red pepper. Save half of the red pepper and put onion garlic and half pepper in a blender. Add glug of olive oil and glug of red wine vinegar. Then separately chop a small piece of cucumber and the saved half pepper in small cubes. Set aside. Chop and fry some stale bread to make croutons. When all these bits are ready, get tomatoes and water from the freezer, chuck them in the blender, add salt and chilli powder to taste, blend. Serve in bowls with croutons and chopped veg as toppings.

Some people add the bread in the blender to make it thicker, some add chopped hard boiled egg as a topping, but then that is not gazpacho, it is salmorejo.

2. Went to OH's sister's house for a swim in her new, amazing pool

4. We overslept this morning but managed to get to DD's club just in time, phew!

5. Chips on the beach for dinner, nomnom

6. Managed not to go over my WW points, even with the above (polishes halo!!)

7. OH is here tonight

8. Bought 5 tubs of YS dairy-free margarine, molto cheapo and now stuck in the freezer. Must stop popping in to the shops.....

Evening Popped on to post some pleasures. Here goes:

1. Came in under budget (JUST) for July GC and am feeling very pleased. Bring on August!
2. Had a lovely extended evening at Mum's, chatted and caught up. It felt good.
3. Mum let me have a shower at hers so I was able to cool down a little.
4. Driving home with the sun slowly going down in the sky. Beautiful.
5. Bought a lotto ticket for Friday. A little hope is a pleasurable thing.

1. Up early so went to work and built up some flexi time
2. Non working day tomorrow
3. Only 1 more work day (friday) and then off for 5 weeks
4. Cheque arrived from DM

Not sure I cando this but I'll have a bash

1. Was a lovely day here (for once) so got 3 washings almost all dried outdoors

2. Had emergency dentist today as I broke a tooth on Mon. He didn't charge me for the repair

3. I cleared away all the mess surrounding the computer desk and it looks all spacious

4. Ditto to a corner of my 2 sharing dds bedroom.

Ummmm it is my first time and can't think of a 5! Don't even know if my 1-4 'count'

1 up late after last nights excitement. we had to move hotels so packed this am


2 nice brunch in our fave restaurant. food is expensive here.
3 found new hitel ok but is a bit out of the way

4 Ds and i went and founda beach. DD has post spiderman blues so stayed behind
5 mcdonalxs for tea. so nice and cheap

Sparrer was up at 5.15am, lekkie working overtime here - got a load of washing in and all ironing up to date! This not being able to sleep must be an old?new?young?middle? age thing :rotfl:

Thank you everyone for all my lovely mentions, aww shucks, I was quite overcome!

My moulting muttley is going to DD this morning so he's just going to have a good brush, will miss him keeping my feet warm (hot) tonight.
