5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

I’ve been catching up with the posts on here, and it’s very grounding see what people are going thou.
I thought I posted these yesterday but they aren’t here so
Fridays were
1.Working from home yippee.
2.Stopped and had a frozen goodfellas pizza from when they were on offer for lunch, and incorporated, washing our bedding, tidying the bedroom, airing the room into it as it is Friday after all.
3.Enjoyed watching the birds all over the feeders, while pulling together a work document.
4.Met a lovely lady, we board animals to cover our own vet bills so lots of people to and froo, and she seems nice enough that I wonder if there’s a possible future friend there.
5. A weird 5th, I bought Home insurance I know a daft pleasure, but we haven’t been able to have it and it’s that what if feeling, so I’ve bought it and paid for it in full for the year, I’m not getting caught out by direct debits any more.
For Today..
1.A very very busy day fundraising.
2. I am about to order my first pair of shoes in years and they are half price in a sale and risking buying them online
3. Lovely clean bedding tonight
4. Lots of RTCs from MrT strangly, but it will make a main meal for 2 for 50p tomorrow.
5.Looking forward to the first proper mini layin in a long time0 -
Hi everyone, I don't normally post in on here as I generally struggle to get 5 OS pleasures in a day, but I feel have managed it today and it's only 3pm!
1) Lie in until 11am with DH (he's been working away so this is quite a treat!)
2) Left over HM lasagne for dinner today
3) Noisy, obnoxious next door neighbour has gone out so I have all the doors and windows open and don't have to hear her conversations, or lame music on repeat
4) Washing out on the line - it's winter here and we've been having an unusual amount of rain recently
5) This is a 'future' one, but we're going to friend's for tea tonight and I've found a recipe on MSE for yorkshire puddings (which aren't available here), and I'm going to make some to take with us. Assuming they turn out ok that is, as I've never made them before! Think I'll also take some Twink's Hobnobs too
6) Related to 5) Going to friend's for tea
Wow, didn't think I'd make it to 6!
I just love this site, and all the people who make it what it is:j0 -
Morning all, welcome Chaos Monkey
Just a quickie as I'm off to visit DM in a mo, she's treating me to lunch at a very nice restaurant where we can sit on the deck by the river. We take it in turns to pay and who pays gets to choose the restaurant. Good choice Mum!
Don't want to shock but I was up at 6.15am. Steady now TILAMS, Chicken and all you others who can't sleep, deep breathing an a cuppa will revive you
Have a great, super, sunny day, back later with a fab five0 -
Sunday Service agin, Welcome to the Chaos, Monkey. Do stray around.

5 Blooooooooming cat. Just how stupid are they. Sits, not moving, bowl ready. Waits for Ms Sonny to come down, meows away like a good one, walks into back room, very demanding. YOUR BOWL IS ON THE FLOOR CAT
4 Great waking up with Ms Sonny, she lusts me. Think I will play hard to get today.
3 Very disappointed to read that Sunday Trading has been extended for the sports day. Do not the emporiums steal enuff money of us during the week. And as they are now run by a generation of people who never had a day off, I suspect they will jack boot their underpaid staff to tunr up and work, or .. So, as always, I shall not be entering one of these places this day. And we should make darn sure rite that we continue to boycott those that do not treat their suppliers with respect.
2 As above shall be sending thyme doing Country Pie for tea and luvvvvving my Ms Sonny
1 Many neighbours amongst us cannot find no time to rest. They endure their pains of short pockets and long arms. They hands fill with fools gold, only to be relieved at will.I hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

Yesterday's goodies:
1. I had enough change in my purse to give DD pocket money for the first time in ages (a whole £1 for 2 weeks!). I also have a shiny £2 coin ready for when she cleans my car
2. Got bedding washed, out and dry, woohoo!
3. In anticipation of a chum coming to stay, I blitzed the house and it looks very tidy by our usual standards and so much more peaceful now
4. Said chum arrived and we've chatted, put the world to rights, gossiped, laughed our heads off etc etc
5. Walked up to the village with DD so she could play at the park and she's made a new friend and set up a picnic playdate for tomorrow
6. DD also managed to get across the monkey bars for the first time ever.
7. Might have gone slightly off-piste re: diet yesterday, but hopefully not too badly and made lovely fat-free soup and then scummy veggie bolognese, rather than get the takeaway we were tempted with (polishing her halo!!)
8. "The Artist" dvd came through from the rental place so looking forward to watching it with DD and possibly OH as he sounded quite keen
Good morning all! The sun is shining, let's hope it lasts0 -
very industrious today!
1.Went into work at 7.30am to catch up on some stuff before start of new semester tomorrow. Just me on my own was quite peaceful and I got what I wanted done.
2.Did my shopping on the way back, didn't need too much as plenty left in fridge, freezer and cupboard.
3.Took kids for lunch and then took DS clothes shopping.....not a chore either of us like (for him!) , he is not one bit interested in clothes and never has been! However, new jacket and 3 pairs of trousers bought!
4.Did a monster ironing whilst watching War Horse on DVD, a beautiful film.
5.House relatively tidy (well downstairs!) and kids did some gardening, swept ,weeded and cut grass whilst I did inside.
6.Chit chat to my sister on phone.
7.Lovely email from a friend which I've replied to.
8.Lovely mild day (felt almost spring like) not warm, just mild but stayed dry and washing out on line almost dried, has been ironed and hanging on clothes horse.
I feel like I have achieved a lot this weekend, after last 2 of feeling bleurgh.
Last epsiode of Downton Abbey is on shortly so I'm looking forward to that.
Have a lovely Sunday x0 -
1.Even after being more tired then I thought really would be possible, I’ve never felt so rough, sunken eyes the works, both myself and DH woke up naturally before the alarms went off this morning.
2.Lounged about and made a proper sausage and egg sandwich, with “luxury sausages” that were of course RTC, but they were lovely
3.I’ve been catching on posts and reading up, and I followed a link to a cheap family recipe site, where I was reading up about the amount of salt and sugar in the bought bread and thought I would try my hand at making the no knead bread next, just generally inspired by the site.
4.I’m toying with the idea of maybe actually properly trying my hand at freelance work, the stuff I do now is always via an agency etc, I just can’t help wondering "could I", I know it needs thought etc etc, but then I will never do it, so a pleasure to be thinking along the lines of I wonder if I can.
5.Beautiful weather..
6.Our driveway is shall we say naturally cluttered with “projects” today the car I sold on ebay how long ago now:o, gets to it’s new home, so not even midday and loads of pleasures.0 -
1. Got three loads of washing out on the line and dried by midday today.
2. DH jet washed the patio and it has brought it up lovely, I washed down the patio table and chairs and it has all dired so we are going to have our evening meal out there tonight
3. The sun has shone today hurrah
4.The smell of dinner wafting through is devine.
5. Unwrapped the new flannetlette sheets and put those in the wash basket reday for laundering next week, I will put those away redaing for when autumn comes round.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Welcome Chaos Monkey
well done on managing more than 5 today
sparrer hope you had a safe trip and the Mway journey was less eventful than last time
For today
1. When I finally woke at 8.30 the sun was streaming through the windows
DS (17yo) was doing voluntary work with Police last night and was due in at 3am. I woke at 2.30am but managed to go back to sleep, and then 4.45am and he wasnt in so texted him and all ok but they were so busy he didnt get in until 7am. I then managed to get back to sleep until 8.30am
2. Decided to go for a walk and call off at the local car boot. Didnt spend any money
3. Home made burgers and salad for lunch, sat in the garden and enjoyed the peace and quiet ... which didnt last long as my neighbours grandchildren all came out to play in the paddling pool, which set another neighbours dogs off barking and then someone else set off mowing their lawn. But for about 20 minutes it was blissfull
4. Ice cream
5. Enjoying just chillin and reading my book this afternoon
Hope all had a good weekend x
