    Evening all.

    1) More glorious sunshine. :)

    2) Spent a couple of hours in the garden and started planting out the RTC plants I picked up yesterday.

    3) NSD and NPD.

    4) Download my A$da price guarantee voucher, which gives me nearly £5 off my next shop. :money:

    5) Rabbit pie for dinner, using up half a rabbit that's been in the freezer since this time last year - I slow-cooked it in cider for about 3 hours while watching the grand prix and it tastes wonderful.

    Have a lovely evening, all.
Back after a very long break!

    Good evening all!

chaos monkey  hello and welcome !

    PK - you needs a rest x

Sparrer - the early bird !

    5 for today

    1. Woke up naturally after 8 again so put the washing on watched a bit if Mar, and read Kindle until after 9-luxury:).

    2. Sat in the sun for half an hour .

    3. Had another vegetarian meal tonight, pasta , veg , quorn, philly and pesto - as OH is not here for the week I probably won't bother with much meat.

    4. Lazing around watching some of my fave films - Krull (:rotfl:) and Brief Encounter . I can't imagine the life of a middle class woman in the 1940's wandering around with a wicker basket, going to the pictures and doing lunch , like the character in the film . My Nan had 3 jobs and used to pray that grandad "slept " well so she wouldn't have any more kids- she wouldn't have had the time for a brief encounter :rotfl:

5.My nice thanking me for some advice I gave her re a court case. However the little monkey has just posted some old school photos of me on her website which are truly vile.

Have a good evening all !

eta - The Tour of course -excellent for Wiggins and co.
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    1. Sunshine :):):)

    2. DD made scrumptious cakes all by herself (me and my friend were the sous-chefs doing the oven stuff).

    3. NSD

    4. NPD

    5. Mowed the front garden for the first time, it's much harder than it looks!

    6. Did lots of weeding in the back garden, shame there's still lots more to do.....

    7. DD and I went for a bike ride this evening :)

    8. Yummy risotto for dinner

    9. Nice chats with parents on the phone

    10. Looks like it will be nice all week :)

    11. Cuddles with DD :)

1.Thank you Skint, it was a good 'un. A clear run down to Henley, went the usual A1M/M25/M40 instead of M1 and didn't hit any problems. Same coming home, M25 is so much easier now the 4 lanes are all open.

    2. DM is causing me some concern re eyesight/hearing but is still a snappy dresser, always nicely made-up, hair very pretty and has a great sense of humour. She also sinks about 1/2 a bottle of brandy a day but still walks in a straight line and doesn't slur her speech, not bad for 91. She's well preserved/pickled in alcohol of course ;)

    3. A reasonable lunch, the scallops were done to perfection. Sat right by the waters edge on a raised deck just out of reach of the ducks and swans :p

    4. DB came over briefly, was lovely to see him - more so because he gave me a gardening voucher!

    5. Has to be the weather. Sitting in her massive garden in glorious sunshine with a tray of tea this afternoon...perfick

Am fair wore out so in bed already, can't do this getting up with the rest of the sparrers too often! Sweet dreams :)

    4) went for monthly drink with my mate after (ambiguous that. i dont partake of the wobbleade only once a month, but only get to see my weegie mate once a month :rotfl: ) shed a few tears over 2 large glasses of wobbleade then wobbled back to waverley

    Good morning,

Here are my pleasures for yesterday, was too tired to post before going to sleep:

1 - Sunshine! Yes! Sunshine! Did I forget to say SUNSHINE?!? Loving it!

2 - Breakfast in the garden with DH, DD and DS, first one in the year. We had eggs in spicy tomato and pepper sauce, which everybody loves. Yummy.

3 - Trip to a community space/cafe in Bethnal Green with DH then long walk back to the Tube via Brick Lane

4 - Beigels for DS in Brick lane

5 - Very nice bargains in covered market in Brick Lane: excellent pair of vintage fabric curtains (£3), vintage cover notebook (£1), dips bowls and tray set (£1).

6 - Swapped a piece of homemade butter with a good dollop of vegetable curry with my lovely Indian neighbour (I gave the butter she gave the curry).

7 - Dinner of above curry, with home grown cooked radish greens, radishes and runner beans.

8 - Watched a rented (free from library) DVD which we really enjoyed, amazing French thriller "Tell No One".

No doubt I shall have lots of other pleasures to report tonight as I am meeting up with friends this afternoon.

Have a good sunny day everybody x
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Morning

DundeeDoll - ((((Hugs)))) to you and your family

    Pleasures for the weekend,
    1. DD has been offered a place at Kingston college which she has accepted. The college is a bit of a trek each day for her but has much better learning support so is worth the hassle plus none of the bullies from school are going there so hoping she will be happy here.
    2. Street party to celebrate the Olympics, lovely weather and nice to get together with the neighbours plus DD has hopefully got some babysitting work out of it as all the mums loved her as she entertained all the children. It was like watching the pied piper.
    3. All the holiday washing done and ironed.
    4. DD off to my parents for a couple of weeks and she got there safely.
    5. Overcharged for some wine in Mr.T, so £8 back which just about covered the cost of the wine :D
    6. Yummy dinner and enough left for me to have for lunch today. Must get back into the habit of taking lunch to work with me.

Hugs to all who need them
