Hello chums
1. NSD - yippee!!
2. First day of healthy eating is going well so far, thanks to being rather chubby, I get to have a gazillion WW points, so have had a sneaky k!tkat and some crisps, and am now cooking delish fat-free dinner for me and DD
3. We've finally practised our guitars this afternoon, athough DD is tired so it was under duress......
4. Earned a gazillion brownie points at work by doing something very complicated and fiddly for a document going out from major big bods in the company
5. Came home to a parcel waiting letter so have one of my latest ebay purchases to go and pick up on the way to work tomorrow, hope its the coat, I may need it soon!!
6. Nice texts from OH this afternoon, was feeling really weepy for no reason, and he has unknowingly cheered me up!
7. My gammy leg is feeling much better again today, it was sore at night but not much during the day yesterday and again today - yippeeWhatever the physio did to it was brilliant!
8. Had a lovely chat with one of the friendly librarians whilst choosing another gazillion books.
9. Being thankful that my humongous council tax bill does go to pay for a brilliant library service in the county!
10. Have seen posters for a free event I can take DD to next week, I like free, she likes looking at insects, and maybe we can take one of her friends along too.0 -
When I was growing up and in the village junior school a few (ahem
:o) years ago the teacher set a task for us to write a story including the surnames of our classmates. Quite clever of her really, I remember something like.....
There was once a man who was a WALKER, and he went up HILL and down DALE along the stream on the BROOKSBANK. He noticed the BLADES of grass were long and the soil was very heavy CLAY. He worked in the local church where he carried out his PRIESTLEY duties .... I am sure there were more but it was a wee while ago so cant remember any more but has brought back some nice memories0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

Good evening all !
Loving the surnames thread ! My friend called her daughter Jenna surname is ...Taylor ! How could she NOT know this would cause the kid no end of grief .??
Mcculloch - lovely family history . Again another horsey coincidence my Mother's maiden name means "old Mare " and the name is supposed to have originated in Bavaria .But also the name is similar to the french word for "war" so we probably came over with old William in 1066 and had a successful scrap with the English;)
tilams - good luck with the appointment x
5 for today
1. Got some serious issues resolved a work - work stuff not "my" stuff iyswim.
2. "Shoes in fridge day" - splitting headache all day, the most basic tasks have taken me ages today as its all like another language ..thankfully it is finally fading.
3. OH was home when I got in and was in the garden but the hens still tore down the garden, "helter skelter" when I opened the back door.Still makes me smile every time
4. Quick and easy pizza for tea from freezer.
5.Signed up to try a bakery range for free, can't wait
Have a good evening all !:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
Errrr, who is Jenna T and do I want to google her name on a work computer? ......0

Funny day today. Feel a bit grumpy now, for no particular reason.
Here are my 5 or so.
1) Still enjoying the novelty of the new window frames which don't leak!
2) Kittens :-) One asleep on my knee now so I have the laptop alongside me on the sofa and am typing at a strange angle.
3) Car MOT. Just needed 2 new front tyres; it could have been a lot worse. Had the tracking done too, it feels a lot better for it.
4) Good service at Kwikfit.
5) Got building materials for my brother to have a go at mending the chimney next week.
6) Message from a friend. My sons are away all next week so am organising lots of people to visit while I get the chance. Don't know if I will be seeing OH or not so am pressing on as though not.
7) Sister popped round.
8) Looking forward to watching DIY SOS later.0 -
I struggled at first too, but I think it might be mistaken for Jenni Taylior!! Just say it quick.. :rotfl:

5. Sorting out more stuff towards my holiday
Marking / wine and curry await. So s'laters peepsI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Evening! Here's some pleasures for today
1. The thunderstorm we had was AWESOME! Lots of bright flashy lightning and heavy heavy thunder.
2. Ticking another few items off my to do list.
Nope, that's about it. Can't really say it's been brilliant today. Still, not far from bedtime and tomorrow is another day. Sleep well, all.
K xxTrying for daily wins, and a little security in an insecure world.0 -
Hey guys hope everyone is ok.
Have had a strange few days, but hopefully now things are starting to sort them selves out.
Mine for today are....
1. Finally got my backside into gear and finished the meal plan for this next week. (We do wed-wed due to paydays)
2. Have done a massive shop, to restock the cupboards and freezer, so hopefully this month will be more OS and healthier for the bank balanace.
3. Enjoyed a really lovely few days off with the OH, which is nice because we don't get that much time together with the jobs we work.
4. Stared planning for xmas, even started a little shopping, which makes me feel more organised.
5. Had a really nice dinner with mum, dad and OH which again was lovely since it only happens once every blue moon!!!
Have a good night everyone .... hugs to all that need them.
