I’ve missed you all:p...With the new job comes some spondoolies but it wasn’t quick enough for BT and the ADSL:o, talk about mixed mixed pleasures after nearly a week offline, we are now on a £10 per month cheaper package with bt, with freebies, and the adsl was a mistake, we have been with them forever, now as a new contract, it’s half price for a year... just shows loyalty doesn’t pay.:rotfl:
1. I rediscovered my love of reading and a fantastic vampy book “Darren shan trilogy” loving it.:D
2. Having thought about it for years the idea of a kindle has grown on me, I neeeeed one now, now, now:cool:.
3. Work hmmm I dread to think how many hours this week I’m unbelievably tired, but there is a but because of that I have no qualms saying I am working from home Friday, and it’s thanks to work we can afford to reconnect and get bills up to date. Going to take one day off next week as just need a chance to recover as we have been busy fundraising all weekends as well.;)
4. I’ve missed this place, I have to admit it is the only website I did miss!!:D
5. The house hasn’t been cleaned or tidied for err about a month now! Errr a pleasure not to have done it but it’s bugging me now.:)0 -
Evening all
Chicken that poor Jenna. One of my school friends was Sally Print - Miss Print!
KB - jealous, I love thunderstorms but so many are at night and I sleep right through them. Funny that, as one of the mogs meowing the other side of the bedroom door will wake me instantly. Have a better day tomorrow
Kittikins good luck with the healthy eating plan, it sounds yummilicious
PK you'll get into a routine with work and housework soon enough. Pleased you're back on line and have sorted out a better deal
1. Put a line of washing out which it was just about dry when I got home. Why do we all find this one such a pleasure? I don't have a tumble dryer so it isn't about cost, but I do love the smell of line dried washing.
2. Good workout when I eventually got there - travelling at 15 mph behind a combine for 4 miles, then a group of riders from the local school. I go via the lanes to avoid the traffic :rotfl:
3. Postie brought me a tub of gravy granules to test. Pleased they're ahhhh, it's the brand I like most
4. Had a rather large rtc rainbow trout for dinner. Didn't have anything with it, except tartare, such a delish fish doesn't need anything else
5. Tried my new red, high heeled, strappy, peep-toe shoes with the intention of wearing them for a few minutes every now and then so I'm used to them when I go to DSis's wedding. Can't wait for her Big day!
Night night, sleep tight0 -

4) had a large mulled wine with my lunch 1/2 a litre  but i think their mulled wine is a hot punch ie bit more than red wine and spices

Well....I have to drag out some pleasures I think.
1. One of my main colleagues has had his offer an a house accepted, I am so delighted for him. Him & his GF have been looking for ages, he was so happy telling me all about it this morning. We open up together in the morning and we have some lovely conversations.
2.A flock of at least 200 cockatoos flew over the garden earlier whilst I was paying my rent online! The noise was amazing.
3.Frosty start to day (had to scrape ice of car!) this still amazes me as I know it is winter here but come on...it's July!
4.One treatment to go!
5.OH's birthday......not celebrating it, it's on hold!0 -

Afternoon everyone,
Well back from our lovely holidays and had a great time. It was so nice to drop out of contact with the world, we had no phones and no internet for the week and was bliss.
Recent Pleasures,
1. lovely holiday and was a little bit OS as we used the excellent local buses to get around rather than a hire car.
2. Came home to nice cheque from a long forgotten about insurance policy which had matured.
3. Not so nice coming home to an ant infestation but the pleasure is we seem to have blocked off where they were getting in.
4. Some big changes have happened at work that directly affect my department but will just wait and see what the knock on effect will be but happy knowing that our mortgage has been overpaid for sometime so we wont struggle with that if I do lose my job.
5. Catching up with a friend and hearing that she has found the courage to leave her husband. She and the kids have been so unhappy for a long time. She looked so much better in herself and is looking forward to the future.
6. Received £3 in LV and another survey to do to earn some more.
7. Changed left over Euro's back and paid money into account. Normally we would just save them for another trip but decided as the Euro is so unstable to not keep them this time.
8. DD has another college interview tomorrow, keeping her options open.
Chicken - Hope you get to Ascot tomorrow, we are going next week.
Hugs to all who need them, especially Mhagster and family.0 -
1. Got washing out and dry on the line
2. Have done some tidying...much needed!
3. Our lovely neighbour gave us a lawnmower, bless him
4. Got loads done at work
5. Yummy dinner
6. Going out tonight for a pudding dinner party, nomnomnom. Wonder how many WW points I'll have
7. Very happy DD after school today
8. OH should be here in a mo0 -
Hello all, been meaning to post my 5 a day for ages, and here I am now, back in the OS fold! I have so much to be grateful for, that I really want to start posting my blessings here again. Here goes, for starters:
1 - Since I stopped posting just over a year ago, I am approximately 2 stones lighter.
2 - DH is loving his job and plans to stay in work, not retire, until he is at least 65.
3 - I am loving being a housewife and mother; as a friend said to me when I asked "what should I do" after leaving my last job, she answered "you should do what you are already doing as it is what you do best" and it is so true!
4 - I am experimenting even more with homemade stuff, so far I have been making jams, butter, yogurt, vegeburgers, baked beans, a variety of baked goods (cakes, scones etc). I am re-learning to be OS and having fun with it.
5 - All the family is well and healthy, thanks God!
There, the past year in a few sentences. Glad to be back! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Welcome Back Caterina you have been missed.:starmod::bdaycake:Have a cake to celebrate your return. And weight loss. :T0
