    4. saw various lovely birds in the hedge

ot - when I go to my parents house they have a long hedge and all the birds climb in and then sit with only their heads peeking out, always makes me :D

Glad to see everyones pleasures, but mine do seem mundane by comparison ;) still mustn't grumble

    1. Non working day :D Got 2 loads of washing dry this morning .... before the rain started

    2. Lovely walk in the sunshine. Managed an hour this morning

    3. Home made soup for lunch

    4. Email back from learning link to confirm I should qualify for concessional fee for Yoga course in september, so should be £27.50 instead of £60. :j
I am just wary of booking at the moment as I am still waiting to hear from the job application I sent. There was no closing date so I may have to call them and check when I should give up hope.. if I was to start a new job I might not be able to attend the daytime yoga course if my working hours change, and I dont want to lose the money (its only 5 per class so I dont think they would allow me to swop dates)

    5. The double glazing man came round with the replacement glass door panel. Not a pleasure to pay for, but looks better than the shattered remnants held together with black masking tape !!
    0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗

Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).

Sorry it's a bit short..I’ve been mia as I just couldn’t find pleasures, working long hours and feeling like hell, I can’t think straight at all, I’m struggling a tad.

1.The sun shone on the walk from the train to the office
2.Left over food from a meeting
    3.Enjoying reading
4.Feels like I’ve lost a bit of weight, though not sure I’m trying hard enough so think it’s the walking.
    5. A hug from the OH

    Evening all, welcome IWAB
(((PK))) well done for finding five when you feel under the weather, hope you feel a bit brighter :)

TILAMS is very quiet, hope all is well with him and Mrs T

    1. Up bright and early - though not as early as some :p - and gave the lounge and kitchen a good clean before going out

    2. Had coffee with DD after the gym and arranged to shop with her on Monday to look for a dress for DSis's wedding. DD is much better at choosing what suits me than I am, I tend to stick to the old tried and tested whereas she gets me to be more adventurous, and it always works :)

    3. Waited for the rain to stop but it didn't so I went out and did some weeding, tying-up etc. Just as I finished it stopped raining. Of course :D

    4. My white patio rose has white, lemon and pink flowers again, it did this last year but this time some of the white petals have distinct yellow stripes. Very unusual, and very pretty

    5. Made a low fat 'pate' by mashing a grilled salmon fillet and adding a little ff yogurt and lots of black pepper. It was very good spread on crackers for tea and plenty left for tomorrow. The mogs love it when I cook fish :)

    Sleep tight :)

PK - Hugs, hope you feel better soon

    Ditto, Mhagster.

    For yesterday

    1. Had a real CBA day so not really a pleasure. The pleasure is that I did bring myself out of it by evening
    2. Had cottage pie from the freezer for tea - nice winter food ;)
    3. Have booked some more hotels for our America holiday - a week tomorrow! :j
    4. It didn't rain for most of the day
    5. Homegrown salad for lunch - one of the few things that is growing

Off to see my lovely sister this afternoon for the weekend. It is one of our Brothers 40th tomorrow and there is a surprise party. SO have a good day and a good weekend all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Evening all.

    1) An unexpectedly good meeting at work, where a couple of senior managers made clear they wouldn't support a suggestion to remove me from a particular project as they trust my judgement and don't want to lose my input.

    2) A piece of lovely, stodgy HM banana cake from a colleague.

    3) A rather naughty pleasure - I went into town to try and buy a new pair of plain black sandals for work in a sale, and came back instead with a pair of brown casual sandals with yellow flowers on. They were in the sale, though, so I got that bit right... :o

    4) Found some of my favourite breakfast cereal on special offer - I don't buy it too often as it's so nice I have to resist the temptation to eat half the (very large) pack in one sitting. :o

    5) A couple of hours of lovely warm sunshine this afternoon, although - not surprisingly - it's raining again now. Sigh.

Have a nice evening, all - particularly DD - have a lovely time!
Back after a very long break!
